Nice !!! 😃👍💪 Question : How do you take off with the closed ears ? Did you maintain with your hand the ear riser ? 🤔 Thanks for your answer ! I would like to do this technique when strong wind on the take-off !
Thanks 🙌 I was holding just the inner A`s in one hand and the other lines in a way like when you are about to walk with the wing a few meters. When the wing is in a nice "rose" form I was just releasing the inner A and the outer A where still slack so it made the ears :) But tbh I cant replicate this all the time it just happens occasionally
@@RichardLeitgeb Ok, thanks for your answer ! I already tried to launch my paraglider like that but never manage it well. There is a video on RUclips with this technique "elephant launch" but no explanations (ruclips.net/video/5MLaWSR21Qs/видео.html)
I tried the 22m2 Moustache and flew my 13m2 as well as the 16m2 puffin this day. It was the first time trying the Moustache and it was quite amazing how fast it is. Even tough it was 22m2 it was the same speed (hands fully up) as the puffin 13m2 (trims closed). It was definitely faster than the 16m2 puffin. But I would still not change the Moustache for my Puffins :)
Depends a bit on where you are: In the Westcoast (From lissabon 1h south and 1.5h North) there are weeks where you can fly almost every day even in January and February. In the Algarve it’s a bit warmer and eventually also very good although somehow i find the north more interesting to fly. But sometimes you have also phases where you cant fly for more than one week but overall it’s one of the best spot in europe mainland in the winter 🙂
@@RichardLeitgeb Cool, thank you for the quick reply. I've heard similar but not first hand so very good to know. Do you have a solid winter location for coastal soaring other than Portugal or is it the best you've found close to Europe?
@@johnfunck The canary islands in spain (Lanzarote, Tenerifa) are very good as well. I`m currently in Sardegna, Italy and it`s flyable almost every day. But the best for me is Portugal, after that Lanzarote or Tenerifa :)
Hi, I fly with a MOUSTACHE 15 but I think to by a Puffin. I live in Portugal and sometimes I fly in Lagoa de Óbidos. Can you give your instagram to talk with you. Thanks a lot and sorry my English.
Ola Paulo! I unfortunatley dont have Insta but we can talk about here in the comments as i dont want to post my whatsapp here ;) I flew both and tried the Moustache from Leo as well. The Moustache is very cool and exciting to fly, altough I was sticking with the puffin. Why? Because the Puffin is almost the same fun you can have with the Moustache but it is much more versatile regarding usecases imo :) And now that Tom released the kite risers for puffin as well i think it is the perfect compromise. And also much cheaper ;)
Mega top 🤪🤪🤪👌
Sweet 🤩
Diese gut!
Hi very cool 💪 where did you made this video?

Nice !!! 😃👍💪

NICE VIDEO !!! the spot look's very very fun , how many knots of wind ? ty
Thanks 🙌 I think at the top it was around 22kt - Still had some forward movement with the Puffin so I guess it was not more than that :)
Please tell me how fast was the Puffin compare to that Mustache.

@@RichardLeitgeb wow, thanks a lot for the info. :)
@@gkaarobert Sure buddy 🙌 Happy flying ☀️
Try piloting the puffin on the Cs while on fully trims open.... you'll find the feel a lot more rigid. Wide swoopy lines with less recovery arc
Compared to „real“ speedwings I dont find the c steering as effective on the puffins with open trims. Back with the baby goose it was way better imo
Leider gesperrt... Wäre ein schöner Ort
How are the seasons in Portugal? Never been. Worth to go in January/February?
