Yes! Actually I was impressed about the acro abilities of the GT. With high wingloads this wing even does 1 1/2 turns of tumbling. The Helico is also much better with the GT compared to the gracchio
Hi, I’m considering buying a Gracchio to practice some acro. All your videos seem to point out its a good wing to train on. What’s your opinion on the Gracchio vs Gracchio MK2. The low aspect ratio of the MK2 makes me think its more like a low B type glider compared to the original one. Love the progression videos BTW!
Hi! I had both, the MK1 and MK2: The MK1 was definitely more dynamic and a bit more aggressive. But the unsheeted lines were really a problem after stall‘s because i always had a cravat unless it was a completely clean stall. Also they shrunk about 10cm in one year of usage 😅 Thats why Tom used only sheeted lines on the MK2. The MK2 is an amazing wing. It’s a bit less aspect ration and because of this less dynamic but still very fun wing to fly! Great for soaring, great for thermals and so much passive safety! Learning Acro in it altough was not easy because it almost has no pitch at all so in helico for example it was so hard to keep it on axis.. This wing just wants to fly and dont be in deepstall 😁 Also the deepstall window is very narrow. But if you learn it with the MK2 you will be doing great when switching to a acro wing because you will be very sensitive in deepstalls! One disadvantage is you have to pull the brakes eeextremly deep to stall the wing which is good for safety but not for acro 😅 So i shorted the brakes 10cm and still had to take a handwrap. Misty for me was impossible with it because i was not strong enough to stall it after swinging under the glider. But after all I really love this wing and i think you should definitely go for it and after you do heli with it switch to an acro glider 🙌
