I love Sabaton! Their music is like no other. Dan does sound like Joakim's vocals. He did an amazing job. He has a couple other Sabaton covers too. Another artist that has a massive catalog of covers & a ridiculous voice is Tommy J, guitarist for 7 years with Sabaton. Yes you are right! The war is the ugliest thing in the world in its entirety! There is nothing good or sacred in it at all! This video and the music combined with the most beautiful voice on this planet is heartbreaking, not easy to digest, yet extremely important! Being a psychologist from Armenia I have spent more than 30 years of my life in either war situation or the danger of it every day! During the last war I used to work with the soldiers with PTSD, I was in a constant struggle to make a meaning out of damn war and helping the young men with it! That, I must say, is almost impossible! One of those young guys (20 years old) once said that when my friend was shot, I was stopping the flow of blood out of his chest with my hands and shouting to the sky- WHY???!!! Why we do this to each other??!! I am devastated by my friend’s loss right now, but at the opposite side someone else is going through the same because of me!! Every night in my dreams I see the eyes of those whom I killed!! I wish I can have a memory loss! How am I going to live with this pain and sorrow all my life? You know how hard is that to calm those guys down, to ease their suffering? In my country the whole generation of young men is slaughtered, wiped out needlessly! And their relatives are in the constant pain. Just because a bunch of psychopaths in higher echelons wants to get rich endlessly, playing mind games and not getting enough of power. The war is just imposed on innocent people who gain nothing out of it and losing everything, while some psychologically ill people gain huge profits and resources! Those of us who got through the wars are forced to numb their feelings in order to keep the sanity. But it makes you feel half alive! I watched this MV maybe 50 times. It hits me every time with the same intensity up to date, but it also helps to let those feelings out of the chest, morn, grieve the loses and slowly to restore the sensitivity again. Huge thanks to Dimash and everyone else who assisted him in this beautiful mission to promote the peace and acceptance all over the world!

Love your reactions! There are so many sides to Dan. I suggest also Go the Distance, Son of Pain, The Last Journey Home, Confessori Eagles Fly Free. Those 4 songs are pretty daen different from each other. And if course American Trilogy (tribute to his late father who had passed the week before he made the cover). And yes Nessum Dorma (his dad also loved opera)
