It's not "The Voice," but "The Singer," a much more professional show with only professional singers competing. They're invited to come. There are no awful performances, no embarrassing critiques, and Dimash (22 then) was the youngest ever to appear on their show and the only foreigner. That's why he did NOT actually win, but came in second. They didn't want to give the prize money to a foreigner. They did, however, make Dimash an overnight success, kept inviting him back for featured performances, so in a nutshell, they love him there. He gives lots of concerts in China. Oh, S.O.S., was the first song he sang on "The Singer." Even though you've heard him perform it, it's exciting to see the faces of the audience being mind blown.

These middle easter sound (melisma) he does in one or another song. It’s really awesome. The thing with the flowers has something to do with respect for the artist. It's a cultural thing. The audience listens to a performance without yelling or screaming that the artist can no longer be heard. No sound may be missing. In return, they then shower Dimash with flowers and gifts. That's the norm there. He then always donates the flowers to hospitals, retirement homes or similar institutions. 23 seconds in one breath with riffs and runs. Unbelievable. Btw he didn‘t won the Voice. He became second in The Singer competition in China 2017, because of not being a Chinese. He sang this song on the New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2018. This is an international contest for young performers founded by Igor Krutoy in 2002. Dimash sang here as a guest. This song was in Russian, a language he speaks fluently. The gentleman at the end you see standing and clapping is the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. He has come out of retirement to work with Dimash. True masterpieces were created. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. Out of this coupling came some if Dimash's, most loved works, some of which were older songs of Igor's that he covered and some written specifically fo Dimash. Apparently Dimash's vocal cords are a bit longer than most. He has also studied music since he was 5. I guess when you start learning to sing correctly at that very young age it probably helps a lot. He has also said that he practices 3 hours a day. Even when he was 22 he had had 17 years of training and practice! 🇨🇦

The band named A'Studio that accompanies Dimash, is the same one that composed the song minus the lead singer named Batyrkhan Shukenov, who died of a heart attack in 2015. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, (the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.) The tones in the middle are oriental Arab technique (or traditional Qazaq singing, called Joqtaw. It is a lament to the deceased singer). The last run is 24 seconds on 1 breath. The man in the white shirt giving a standing ovation at the end is Igor Krutoy. This is the first time he heard Dimash. He came out of retirement after seeing this competition to begin his collaboration with Dimash.

If you ask him what he can sing and what kind of sports he does, he simply answer "Yes" 😂 There's also on RUclips a documentary of Dimash where he explain a lot of his life called "The Ultimate Dimash Guide part 1 to 10", very interesting to watch. Hola 👋 gracias por la reacción, mira te recomiendo empezar por el principio Singer 2017, en China 🇨🇳, era la primera vez qué cantaba un extranjero en ése concurso y es de cantantes profesionales, Dimash ya era famoso en países asiáticos y europeos, cantó el primer día del concurso, lo pusieron de comodín, pero por las caras que vas a ver te darás cuenta que sabían de sú arte, cantó Sos, dejo paralizados a todos, el público se tenía que levantar para aprobar al cantante, el público estaba tan emocionado, todas personas preparadas en música, todos quedaron muy emocionados, se levantó todo el público y los demás concursantes no podían creer lo que habían escuchado, desde esa noche se hizo famoso,lo vieron 600.000.000 millones de personas, al otro día quiso salir y no lo dejaban sino salía con custodios, de ahí salió al mundo,pero tiene una historia hermosa en su trayectoria desde los 2 años cantó un pedacito en una obra infantil y empezó a tocar el Dombra, instrumento regional de sú país, y a los 5 empezó a estudiar música y a cantar. Dimash was not on” The Voice”! Dimash was in a Chinese competition called, “The Singer”. He did not win that one he came in second place. That was the first time the Chinese had a foreigner in this contest. Dimash was only supposed to be there for the first two episodes out of fourteen. After he sang “S.O.S.” on the first episode, he had so many fans that they asked him to stay for the whole show. They also had to get him bodyguards to accompany him wherever he went in China. They love him so! The other contestants called him, “ foreign younger brother”. Dimash was also the youngest one there at 22 years old! Part of the reason I think you haven’t heard of him is that record producers will want to put him in one particular genre and Dimash won’t have it! Dimash loves his country and he sings several of Kazakhstan’s folk songs at his concerts ! His music is not just one thing. As long as his fans are happy with the music he sings, he’s happy! 😄❤️

The band is named "A Studio". This is their song from many years ago which had a totally different style. But no matter what they look like these guys aren't shocked. You have to remember they've already rehearsed with him for this performance. If you had stayed with the video a little longer You would have listened to him thank the band and give them their due. I'd like to offer a couple of constructive reaction tips. Try to pick your pauses more strategically, i.e. at the end of phrases or lyrics lines or during instrumental breaks or interludes. That way you don't pause the performer mid note or mid phrase. The other thing is when you pause back The video up 5 seconds before restarting. That way you don't miss any of it including some transitions which you may have paused on. That being said, of course, how you handle it is your call.
This was a famous pop song in kazakhstan . Unfortunately a band member died tragically. I read that the lament sung in this song is a tribute to the band member. BTW the piano player is a member of the original band.

It's not "The Voice," but "The Singer," a much more professional show with only professional singers competing. They're invited to come. There are no awful performances, no embarrassing critiques, and Dimash (22 then) was the youngest ever to appear on their show and the only foreigner. That's why he did NOT actually win, but came in second. They didn't want to give the prize money to a foreigner. They did, however, make Dimash an overnight success, kept inviting him back for featured performances, so in a nutshell, they love him there. He gives lots of concerts in China. The thing with the flowers has something to do with respect for the artist. It's a cultural thing. The audience listens to a performance without yelling or screaming that the artist can no longer be heard. No sound may be missing. In return, they then shower Dimash with flowers and gifts. That's the norm there. He then always donates the flowers to hospitals, retirement homes or similar institutions.

Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills. It was written for the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus 2019. And that’s why the lyrics are also very motivating.
This song and this performance from this Arnau concert is my absolute favourite🥰 I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I always get breathlessness. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so commanding😱. In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. In a statement I read that Dimash was the vocalist he had been waiting for all his life.

Out of this coupling came some if Dimash's, most loved works, some of which were older songs of Igor's that he covered and some written specifically fo Dimash. They were a phenomenal team and are still great friends today. Apparently Dimash's vocal cords are a bit longer than most. He has also studied music since he was 5. I guess when you start learning to sing correctly at that very young age it probably helps a lot. He has also said that he practices 3 hours a day. Even when he was 22 he had had 17 years of training and practice! 🇨🇦

The band named A'Studio that accompanies Dimash, is the same one that composed the song minus the lead singer named Batyrkhan Shukenov, who died of a heart attack in 2015. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, (the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.)
The tones in the middle are oriental Arab technique (or traditional Qazaq singing, called Joqtaw. It is a lament to the deceased singer). The last run is 24 seconds on 1 breath.
The man in the white shirt giving a standing ovation at the end is Igor Krutoy. This is the first time he heard Dimash. He came out of retirement after seeing this competition to begin his collaboration with Dimash.

Dimash also sings pop music. "BE WITH ME" "FLY AWAY" "ZHALYN" and some movie sound tracks like "ACROSS ENDLESS DIMENSIONS" a sci fi movie. And he's also a huge Michael Jackson fan. If you ask him what he can sing and what kind of sports he does, he simply answer "Yes" 😂 There's also on RUclips a documentary of Dimash where he explain a lot of his life called "The Ultimate Dimash Guide part 1 to 10", very interesting to watch. There you can see how humble he is, and how he achieved to be the man he is today, with hard work, training, etc.. He also have a 16 years old brother Mansur who is an multi instrumentalist. Hola 👋 gracias por la reacción, mira te recomiendo empezar por el principio Singer 2017, en China 🇨🇳, era la primera vez qué cantaba un extranjero en ése concurso y es de cantantes profesionales, Dimash ya era famoso en países asiáticos y europeos, cantó el primer día del concurso, lo pusieron de comodín, pero por las caras que vas a ver te darás cuenta que sabían de sú arte, cantó Sos, dejo paralizados a todos, el público se tenía que levantar para aprobar al cantante, el público estaba tan emocionado, todas personas preparadas en música, todos quedaron muy emocionados, se levantó todo el público y los demás concursantes no podían creer lo que habían escuchado, desde esa noche se hizo famoso,lo vieron 600.000.000 millones de personas, al otro día quiso salir y no lo dejaban sino salía con custodios, de ahí salió al mundo,pero tiene una historia hermosa en su trayectoria desde los 2 años cantó un pedacito en una obra infantil y empezó a tocar el Dombra, instrumento regional de sú país, y a los 5 empezó a estudiar música y a cantar. Dimash was not on” The Voice”! Dimash was in a Chinese competition called, “The Singer”. He did not win that one he came in second place. That was the first time the Chinese had a foreigner in this contest. Dimash was only supposed to be there for the first two episodes out of fourteen. After he sang “S.O.S.” on the first episode, he had so many fans that they asked him to stay for the whole show. They also had to get him bodyguards to accompany him wherever he went in China. They love him so! The other contestants called him, “ foreign younger brother”. Dimash was also the youngest one there at 22 years old! Part of the reason I think you haven’t heard of him is that record producers will want to put him in one particular genre and Dimash won’t have it! Dimash loves his country and he sings several of Kazakhstan’s folk songs at his concerts ! His music is not just one thing. As long as his fans are happy with the music he sings, he’s happy! 😄❤️
A-Studio is a band that was originally from Kazakhstan. Their keyboard player seen here, Baigali Serkebaev, composed this song together with the poet Ilia Reznik in 1998. Unfortunately, the lead singer of the A-Studio band died in 2015. Dimash honored the deceased singer with the tribal vocalization which a Kazakh commentor identified as a singing technique used in Kazakhstan called 'komeymen aytu,' a form of Tuvan throat singing. Various forms of this technique are used throughout Central Asia. Both Dimash and Erlan Bekchurin, who arranges most of Dinash’s songs, are steeped in Kazakh folk music. If you listen closely, you will hear echoes of that in almost every song.

The band is named "A Studio". This is their song from many years ago which had a totally different style. But no matter what they look like these guys aren't shocked. You have to remember they've already rehearsed with him for this performance. If you had stayed with the video a little longer You would have listened to him thank the band and give them their due.
I'd like to offer a couple of constructive reaction tips. Try to pick your pauses more strategically, i.e. at the end of phrases or lyrics lines or during instrumental breaks or interludes. That way you don't pause the performer mid note or mid phrase. The other thing is when you pause back The video up 5 seconds before restarting. That way you don't miss any of it including some transitions which you may have paused on. That being said, of course, how you handle it is your call.
This was a famous pop song in kazakhstan . Unfortunately a band member died tragically. I read that the lament sung in this song is a tribute to the band member. BTW the piano player is a member of the original band.
