I recently got a Hotel Mario CD-i that is different from any other i´ve seen before. Instead of the usual color layout, it´s all in a grey chromatic tone. Been searching everywhere but can´t seem to find anything like it. @gamepakrat maybe you cold shed some light on this?

I honestly like the cutscenes without music more, besides the first one. Kinda like how Ratchet and Clank handled it until they botched their NPC cutscenes post-trilogy.

Uncharacterized Mario explaining how to play the game and what the buttons do is the equivilant of uncharacterized Luigi teaching us about puberty.

The best part about this is it basically introduced a brand new character to ytps, bowser. Since he was so underutilised in the final game its cool as hell to see him finally get his time in the spotlight

I find it interesting that the demo voiceover only mentions there being 7 koopa hotels, meaning that the intro was likely made much earlier before the decision to remove the elusive 8th was made, further proven by the fact that button 1 still took you to the title screen meaning that that sequence likely hadn't been touched in a while.

The entire concept of EIGHT Koopa hotels as a business is sending me. What are people paying for? When do they pay? How do they leave a review?

The biggest criticism with Hotel Mario is not just it’s arcade-like gameplay being a step-down from 1991’s Super Mario World on Super Nintendo, but I recall StutteringCraig once citing 30 coins for an extra life. So what? In the Kirby games, Kirby collected 30 stars, and gets a life (most notably: Kirby 64). What was awesome I think was how you BLESSED the RUclips Poop community with even more source material, even shining light on the lost elements that never made it into the final game! And did you know the game was based on a canceled Atari 5200 game called “Looney Tunes Hotel”? Personally, I’d LOVE to see Dompley do a PC port of the game with all the missing elements!

I know it’s just placeholder audio, but I am curious to know what that “Left, Right, Left, Right” audio in the hotel secret cutscenes is actually referring to.

Sooo glad this landed in YOUR hands! Just imagine if someone else found this, didn’t realize it was a prototype, and left it in there basement for 20 years, just to find it later and toss it in the garbage😅

I didn't even know Cat Girl without Salad got a collectors edition. Crazy to think that the game originally only released for a limited time on April Fools day years ago then got delisted, until it suddenly got relisted on the Switch eshop. This anime parody game just keeps finding new ways to surprise me.

I picked this up recently on the 3rd party market for only a slight markup by I think it was worth it. Between the great soundtrack & the unique Tetromino collectors box, I think this was a worthy investment to my game collection.

The little plush pot from the Pokémon Center is part of their 2021 Grassy Gardening line. It would have had a cute little grass Pokémon sitting on top of it. There was a Bulbasaur, an Oddish, a Turtwig and a Shaymin in Land Form. The plushes go for quite a bit now.

I recognize that LEFT RIGHT voice! I've heard that voice in the speaker test thing somewhere in... Windows, I think? Perhaps in an AC'97 audio driver sound test? But it says "front left" and "front right" there (probably to do with surround setups).
