Terrible movement in games instantly kills my interest. Combine that with awful combat, and that seals the deal. I never once looked forward to combat encounters in this game, I gave it 60 hours and was bored/disappointed the entire time.

Bought the game few years back. In the last few months i am clearing my backlogs and wanted to give this one a chance again especially last time when i tried it did not get the version 4 update and now ppl say the game looks great and i agree game graphics looks stunning at places. But apart from graphics i did not find anything likeable. janky movements, horse cannot jump over a simple obstacle on its own (just finished playing RDR2 -135 hrs spent probably expected same kind of horse riding experience lol). janky camera movements while combat. Confusing inventory. Boring NPC's. I know its a 2013 game and it may have revolutionized the RPG elements that time. But not for me.

Most justifications for this game boil down to "just waste more of your time on it, and eventually a sunk cost fallacy will convince you to like it."

We agree to disagree and this trilogy is amazing in my opinion. It has incredible CGI, amazing acting and characters like Caesar and Koba that have become Iconic for a reason because they are well written and there's a tragedy to them which makes them compelling.

I hate how limited your choices are through the whole game, romance being the worst offender. You can't just reject a romance option, Geralt will be eager and receptive to all their advances, and each "no" always comes of as forced. It's that way with all romancable characters. Your real choices are flirting+sex or just flirting. In main game Djikstra calls you "an ass" for not asking Triss to stay, in HoS everec's brother mocks you for being gay if you're not interested in shani. You don't have an option to tell them that you have someone else, or that you simply don't like her. And I don't think my choices mattered for the most part, they could give me just the choice to bed them or not at the end of their questlines and I would have same agency.

Combat in this game was truly horrendous very clunky like all cd projekt red games they are a hack company that's yet to make a single decent game. Witcher 3 was another bland generic open world rpg with little to distinguish itself overrated for sure.

Still better then the Avatar franchise, they are WAY more overrated lol

PACING is always important in film, if too much is pains takingly explained you'd probably have a 3 hour film (& who's going to sit through that? or more, also in some types of films, if too much is explained, you lose the sense of intrigue/mystery if a good story works by itself, then I can over look other flaws, look how wooden Christian Bale is as an actor, BUT also look at how well made BAT MAN BEGINS is, with it's originality & clever twists, a version of the character never seen before.

Finally an honour review of this terrible game. After all the universal praise I decided to give it a try after a heavy steam discount. But even for 5€, it’s not worth it. I can’t remember a Game with such bad combat and overall clunky controls.

These movies explain everything, there is no subtlety and no interpretation Why did ceaser give the colonel the gun? How did ceaser know he will kill himslef? Why didnt ceaser kill the colonel himself? Maybe to not get his revenge and not follow in the steps of koba by refusing to kill the colonel he never got the satisfaction of killing him and just decided to live with it thus ending the cycle of revenge War is pretty uneventfull. Yeah compared to a normal action flick about war it is because no explosions every 5 seconds but watch 1917 and saving private ryan and you will see its pretty similar to them in eventfullness Why didnt noa kill maximus? Because he is not ceaser, he does not kill the bad guy in a 1v1 he is weak and has a long way to go, but he has his clan, his family the people that kept him fighting and kept him always going, and those apes are not like maximus killing him with their own fists because they strong, their animals, their pats and thier life long tradition kills maximus, showing how a culture will endure even under tyranical rule All the humans are boring. well i agree with you on some levels they are not that interesting and i cannot make an exuse saying that its a apes movie so humans are not meant to be interesting, but i think they are interesting enough for me to let it slide since they are a good vasel to tell caesars story. You say you where never captivated or interested and such and it could be the case but i find it more plausible that its a subjective thing and not the movies foult since millions of people never got bored with them. Easily one of the most boring games I’ve ever tried. Just glad I didn’t fall for the hype and bought the complete edition for $10 years after release. I can usually spot slop when I see it without even playing, and I was right again. It’s for “normies” who like video game s*x.

Good graphics, decent story, nice sidequests, gwent, BaW, but thats pretty much it. The combat sucks, weakest part of the game.

What's good about the game is the story, dialogue and graphics. Which is actually great because most of the game is talking or investigating with your senses. Just put the game on very easy to skip through the awful combat and enjoy the game.

I tried it, boring as hell, confusing UI, and I stopped after killing the bird monster in the first area.

The crime family story is pretty generic i agree. But you're the dialogue and writing for the main characters is actually very very good. The choice acting is superb. Fantastic dlc

Only thing that annoys me the most Is the leveling up system... You need to do quests to level up.. By killing creatures you only got 1xp bruh like wtf... Not beeing able to level up while killing creatures is the worst thing ever. And the skills suck . It needs hardcore grind to level up and when you level up you got 3% CHANCE TO POSION LIKE WTF

I got bored of this game rather quickly. Everything looks the same. The movement mechanics are really bad. You can't interact with NPCs outside of them saying the same boring thing every single time you see them. The NPC voices are so loud that riding through a settlement is beyond annoying. The combat is just.. really, really bad. Typical console BS. Though the most annoying thing for me was the quest complete sound. Who ever thought that was a good idea deserves divine punishment. Anyway. This game is boring as hell. I really don't understand the hype. Greatest RPG of all time my ass.
