    17:46 Odin has been manipulating Kratos and Artreus the entire time as from the start, he tells them to stop searching for Týr. Giving Artreus the desire to go looking for him, allowing them to find Tyr. From that point, we see Tyr drawing out information from Kratos and Artreus, about the giants, the demise of Baldur, the secrets behind the shrines. Even when Tyr makes it a point he doesn't want anything to do with the prophecy. He still sets seeds to provoke conflict between Artreus and Kratos. He even brings up Freya's dead son literally as they meet. He manipulates Artreus that he is a good guy that he could trust him, uses a dwarf as a meat-shield against Kratos just to spew tension between him, and as soon as he learns that Freya is going to Vanaheim, decides thats the best time to send Heimdall and an army of einherjar to kill Freyr and Freya and whatever forces they have, if not, capture them as well so he could transform into them as well.
    Vanaheim: married their goddess as a peace treaty. Dammed their river, forcing starvation and dry harvests. Made a second war. Destroyed many thriving villages, and even introduced dragons and drakes there.
    Scartalfheim: bro literally polluted their lands, toxicfying their lakes, polluting their air, and devastating their land making it infertile unable to grow their own foods. Its why you see it to be so dry. He pratically enslaved the Dwarves and forced them to make weapons for the aesier, making the Dwarves who once loved their craft, resent it.
    Alfheim: despite it never being directly said, nor shown, it is believed that he did have to something with the war, he wanted the light of Alfheim to himself, understand its uses, by having a never ending war between the Light Elves and the Dark elves, he basically had them distracted from his own personal use of the light, favoring the Dark elves as the Dark Elves dont want anyone using the light, leaving only Odin to be the one using it for himself. Its shown as he is upset with Kratos and Artreus for interfering with the war, and knowing the Dark elf general's name. And seeing two light elves and a dark elf in his prison.
    Helheim and Midgard: we learn that Odin corrupted the souls of the Valkeryies to have control who gets to go to Valhalla or Hel, and this resulted to Sigrun entrapping her sisters and herself, not having control over the souls, making that no soul gets to go to Valhalla and the overpopulation of Helheim, he also closed the gates of Helheim not allowing the souls to enter, making Helwalkers an issue to Midgard. He sent Thor to kill some midgardians just cause. Obviously also taking a village worth as a deterence for Ragnorok.
    Jotunheim: war and killed most of the giants, either himself or just sent Thor
    The two primordial lands are not as important to me, as we have no real sign of life in them anyways besides the two giants meant to make Ragnorok, i mean he did entrapped Invaldi and cursed the land with poisonous mist, forcing Invaldi to build a complex labyrinth to keep treasures in there. Also keeping the Raven Queen in there to steal souls and turn them into ravens to be his eyes.

    5:40 i heavily agree his death was not as massive as it should've been, as i do understand Thor took place on where Kratos should've died, and this is the moment Thor chose to change his nature (the theme of the game), but thats my problem with this part of the story, Thor wouldve died anyways, no matter what choice he made.

    i disagree, with your point on vanaheim enemies not being that interesting. they have some crazy side missions and bosses that i found to be pretty cool, and some fun puzzles to solve while fighting enemies. i agree with you about asgard though, i wish there was more of it. i also agree with IRONWOOD. HOLY SHIT PLEASEEE WHY IS IT SOO LONGGGG I JUST WANNA KILL PEOPLE AS KRATOS!! i love the combat in this game, so many combos you can do, i love partying and timing. the new weapon was really fun. i think the atreus parts were okay but definitely would rather just play kratos. i love the story tho, i feel like the dialogue is amazing and theres so much emotion conveyed behind it, even the little things. and idk, i feel asgard was stressful to atreus. everyone was upset with him for failing the mission, he got jumped by heimdall and some asgard goons, and overall you can tell how much the people dont like him there. i would so understand being a teenage boy and feeling dissatisfied with yourself and running back home to your dad. and honestly, i know you said u didnt like thors design, but i personally LOVE ITTTTT. it feels accurate, like how a fat abusive drunk would look. hes huge and intimidating, whilst also maintaining a lot of norse features. there are a lot of fat warriors out there, just cuz someone has a lot of muscle doesnt mean theyre stronger than a fat guy. i mean, look at andy ruiz, he took on a chiseled muscular god looking like a fat guy, and he WON! a lot of characters u said u felt were boring, i definitely have a different standpoint on. especially mimir. just cuz we cant see what they did in the past, doesnt make them boring characters. mimir is FULL of personality and stories. also brok and sindri did reconcile, before brok died. but yeah freya is a lil weird. in general i just fucking love this game, yeah theres a few kinks but everything has kinks. obviously this game isnt PERFECT, but nothing is. i wouldnt say its overrated, i think its rated just about where it should be. i think sometimes in life we’re too judgmental on the small things, and dont take the time to overall enjoy these stupid little video game concepts.

    So to counter-argue your point of the combat, the combat has improved immensely. You have better crowd control with the blades, the whiplash status effect and stagger with the triangle abilites helps deviate from attacks. You have the quick turn to help with enemies you cant see, even then the retreat attacks give you Iframes. Even collision damage is far increased when using riskier attacks. All has improved.

      That’s cool, but why can’t they just zoom out the camera?

    • @favianguerra8954
      @favianguerra8954 5 дней назад

      @AllenReviews the rear camera angle is merely for the purpose of story telling, the way they go about it is simply indicators, mimir telling you which exact direction you are about to be attacked from, and the quick turn. My issue will always be you don't get the slow down you got from the previous 2018 game, when you use the quick turn back in 2018 you had a subtle half second slow down effect that gave you time to react appropriately. the only reason I can properly think why they don't give that to you in this game is because you have your shield up when doing the quick turn. My only suggestion is instead of doing a quick turn, use a retreat attack since it gives s, and even if you get hit from an unblockable attack, you will receive no damage from it whatsoever.

      @@favianguerra8954 Sorry bro, but there’s no excuse not to zoom about the camera during *combat*. It’s fine to have a close camera for storytelling purposes. But that doesn’t apply for combat. My question was more of a rhetorical one.

      @AllenReviews in retrospect, it works well with Artreus because that type of camera always has worked for shooter games. Take, for example: the Last of Us, Tomb Raider, Red Dead, etc... It's nearly perfect for Artreus. In that sense, you are right, not fitting Kratos. The camera doesn't work well for Melee fighters, such as Kratos, however to rebuttal your perspective. How do you propose how the aim system will work with the classic camera? How will you target which enemies you want to strike? With Drakes, they have weak points. If you strike both weak points, they fall, and you can strike them with heavier attacks without risk as they are in a longer stun. When fighting trolls hitting them in the face gets you more damage output compared to the rest of the body, but it is faster to strike the rest of the body. If you want the classic combat view, then the system would go back to the old highlight enemy, taking away your ability to choose to where to aim the weapon.

      @@favianguerra8954 Bro, it’s really not that hard. Just make it so that when you aim, the camera zooms in. Then zoom back out when you stop aiming like a lot of other third person games(Gears of War, Fortnite, Warframe, Horizon Zero Dawn, and a lot of other games). It doesn’t have to be zoomed in all the time my guy. You can still like a game and not defend everything about it, you know.
