Quick Demonstration of the Red Dragon
In this video, I will quickly demonstrate the Red Dragon premium propane torch kit by Flame Engineering. Always have a water hose at the ready when you are using the Red Dragon. And make sure you don't breathe the smoke.

Cherokee NC Island Cleaned Up After Hurricane Helene 2024
Просмотров 817Месяц назад
The Cherokee Tribe has cleaned up the Island. Cherokee was not hit as bad as the surrounding counties and was able to rebound quickly. There were a couple of areas that flooded causing services such as power, cell coverage and internet to be out. Cherokee citizens and Tribal Government are helping their neighbors in the recovery.

Review of Bark River Knives Gunny Sidekick.
There's a time when all the residents of Fontana lake plus more people spend time arranging cleaning up efforts every year or twice a year. Great people. They have a u tube channel.
I have over 400 knives, 12 of them are magnacut. As it relates to edge retention, I do not see much , if any difference compared to knives made with S35V and even 3V.
Yes ty I would not have believe it been to Cherokee few times growing up. Truly sad .it where I wanted to b . retired God bless yall stay safe
Is this a Sv 2wd?
@@beastmodethomas8208 No, it's an SL 4WD. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I’m not sure if you were able to see but did the bamboo forest on the island do well in those floodwaters? Thanks for the update.
Doesnt magnacut chip or break easier than 3v?
@@Frd4Lf All things being equal, 3V is a couple of degrees tougher than magna-cut, so it should hold up better than magna-cut. I've watched people on video cut nails and such with both, but I saw a magna-cut knife break on video where a 3V probably would not have been phased. I'd like to have a Carothers 3V with Delta heat treat, but they are hard to get.
I live in Asheville. God Bless our Native American neighbors ❤🙏❤️ also 😢
Beautiful!
👍🏻
Thanks man you save my day!!!
Glad I could help. It's good to know how to fix things yourself so you don't have to pay overpriced maintenance at the dealer. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thank you
What’s amazing is that island is still there and the river did not change course.
Looks like a slow river
@@rosenoglefamilyfun5267 It basically is. This is one of the river channels that make up the lake. This is quite a ways from the dam. If it wasn't dammed up it would be flowing a lot faster.
My heart hurts to know about this I've been there to was a beautiful place but I know God will get it back
There’s no way 2,000 miles of T6 could’ve caused enough buildup to damage your catalytic converters, unless you’re burning a quart every 100 miles or something crazy. I’ve been using T6 in gasoline vehicles for years and never had an issue. In fact, T6 was originally approved for use in both diesel and gasoline engines. I wouldn’t rule out Royal Purple being the culprit, depending on how long you used it. Royal Purple is known to perform worse than your average budget brand, despite their genius marketing efforts and sky high pricing.
@@justinh5982 No, it don't use much oil. About a quart every 10,000 miles. I'm not 100% sure this was caused by the T6, but it's sure strange that it happened soon after I started running it, and that that is the very thing the manufacturers and oil companies say can happen if you run diesel oil in a gas engine. I know other people who have used T6 for years and never had a problem, but I think they may have changed the formula from a gas and diesel oil to only a diesel rated oil. Anyway, it could be a coincidence. I ran Royal Purple for about 100,000 miles and never had a problem. I don't use it now. I've switched to Mobil 1 for now. Thanks for watching and commenting.
We were there in Sept. 2024 and walked thru the Bamboo field. Did they get washed away? Hope not but prayers for everyone.
Beautiful evening! 👍🏻
That sir is heaven
Wow 🫢 I’ve never seen it THAT gushing
What a nice tribute! Thanks for sharing!
Your welcome.
You ever check out the black jack models ?
Yes, I checked them out. Black Jack looks like they make good knives, but I have never owned any. I believe Bark River makes Black Jack knives, and if so the fit and finish may only be as good as Bark River. However, I see that a lot Black Jack models have A2 Steel and I do like Bark River A2. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@MountainLife1 yes my model 5 is A2
@@townieoutdoors8121 that model 5 is a slick looking knife. And I've always had good luck with A2. One of these days, I might get me a Black Jack.
Wow. The cleanup must have been quick and thourough. Looks like nothing at all happened there already.
It wasn’t bad out here. Have to head east to cashiers and past that to see “hell”
@@kevkevdj you're right about the damage, but I personally saw a lot of debris floating down the Tuckaseegee River on the way to Fontana Lake. I just wonder where it all ends up. Thanks for watching and commenting.
That doesn't make sense, did the water not rise, either?
Beautiful spot. 👍🏻
Yes, it's definitely a beautiful place.
Beautiful. Nice and quiet. All id be able to hear is the ringing in my ears.
Prayers God be with you all of you 🙏😇
Awesome just bought a 23 rock creek didn't expect brakes to have that emergency electric breaking
@@cristianmarchante3592 yeah. I don't like it, but all the new vehicles are having this crazy stuff. I'm just having to live with it. That being said, I have not had mechanical problems with mine. Enjoy your Rock Creek.
The ppl there did a beautiful job of restoring that area. Beautiful country !!!
When is the water going to slow down ? Where is it all coming from ? 🙏🙏
@@janiceboothtuten5327 It's back to normal now. I posted a follow up video of the cleaned up island. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Have you tried any knives in cruwear yet? Ive been using a Bravo 1 and CPM Cruwear recently and I'm preferring it to 3V. The Cruwear knife gets sharper than my 3V a knives and I haven't rippled the edge. I've rippled the edges in 3 bark river 3v knives in the past.
@@gilbertopadilla3611 I have not tried Cruwear, but it looks like a very good steel from everything I read about it. It may be one of the best.
@@MountainLife1 After using it for a few days, I will say that cruwear takes a patina faster than 3V. 3V doesn't hardly stain at all. The stain in cruwear is very minor. I had the same problem with patina on my cruwear Bravo 1 that you did with magnacut. I used metal polish on my blade and now its very hard to stain. Magnacut should be better since they say it's like a stainless cruwear. I have a custom knife in magnacut coming in about 6 weeks from Gray Wolf knives. We'll see how it goes.
I used to live in Whittier. I'm glad you're okay. The park looks a little smaller than it used to.
Prayers 🙏 for all 😢
Prayers for all up there

Been here many times never seen that much water WOW

It sure works well when getting rid of poison ivy. And you know how big the poison ivy is around here.
Weed Terminator nice 👍

@@addisonesslinger3653 It is! I cranked it up to the max and completely evaporated every poison ivy stem in my vicinity.

How did the reservation people do
@@williamweirjr9749 Primary damage in Cherokee was done in Hyatt Cove, Rough Branch, Jenkins Creek, Big Cove, and Towstring. Community groups have a group called "Gadugi" or "free labor" which are people from the community who help clean up people's yards, cut trees, etc. The Tribe also has workers who went out assessing damage. Overall, most people are doing well and actually are volunteering in surrounding areas who were hit worse. YEARS AGO FRIENDS AND I WOULD TAKE THINGS FOR THE SCHOOL REZ ,REALLY BEAUTIFUL. THAT WAS YEARS BACK WHEN MARY CROW WAS THERE .SUCH A WONDERFUL LADY. WE LOVED TAKING THINGS FOR THE CHILDREN AND FAMLIES.BACK THEN EVEN WALMART WOULD DONATE ALL SORT OF CAKES AND THINGS ALSO. SO MUCH FUN SEEING THE FACES OF THE BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN AND FAMILIES LIGHT UP. MY PRAYERS ARE WITH ALL OF YOU. GOD BLESS
I just ordered one early this morning. I got a few of LT’s knives. Love them! Looking forward to this one.
I think you'll be pleased with it. I always carry one with me. It's a very versatile knife.
Needs jimping. Also, some kind of texture on the handle so it is easy to grip when wet. Those are super generic and I hope really inexpensive. Forge On!!!
That's what's great about the knife industry, there's a design for everyone. If you like jimping there's a knife out there that has that. Horace Kephart wanted a simple knife without a lot of complex details. I think LT captured that style perfectly.
The raging waves is scary. 😢
