I have a TC helicon mic mechanic 2 pedal which allows me easy tactile access to FX and DSP processing. but sadly it has 24 volts always-on phantom power, and not 48 volts. planning on buying an SM7DB for my untreated bedroom. I was fortunate enough to use its predecessor back when I was still in college and a door the sound and headroom it has on my extreme vocals. will the 24 volts phantom power of the TCMM2 affect the the SM7DB set to +18 and +28dB gain? as a second option I could also purchase an SM7B alongside a Triton Fethead/sE Dynamite (Cloud lifter is not available in my country). how would the 24 volts phantom power of the TCMM2 affect this setup? stay happy healthy and more power to you.

Thanks for the review. I suggest to talk a bit about the headphones value and comparison to its rivals in the same price pool in your conclusion section to get a better idea. cheers. P.S.: I've watched many reviews and still cannot decide what to choose between this pair or the ath m50x and m40x. I love a good wide sound stage and separation (as far as closed backs go cause I just can't with open back because of privacy) and a good warm and deep bass ( mostly in sub-bass; I hate over-pronounced high bass that doesn't mix well into the mids).

This is a good interface for the money. I did an experiment that worked for me. I wanted come out of my Apollo, to the Dangerous D-Box, then to run it through the SSL 2, out the SSL (4k engaged & gain all the way down) and then to my outboard mix bus chain. It gave me a bit of that sparkle and cleanness on the top end.

First of all… the mix alone is nice!!!! The preamps added a good lift to what’s already there! Great video!

scaling issue caused me troubles with Traktor (3) on Windows 11 try changing scaling to 100% (from default 125%) under display settings

Can I drive it with a smartphone sir using a portable dac since my smartphone doesn't have any 3.5 mm jack and for audio output I require a usb type c to 3.5 mm converter ?? And apart from dac will I need any amplifier?? My smartphone model is poco f3 gt.

Audio Interface: FocusRite Saffire Pro40. 3 outboard Mic Preamps. But, if I have the INPUTS of my Mic Preamps going to an XLR patchbay (Hosa PDR-369) the phantom power will travel only to there? Right? And it the OUTPUT of my Preamps go to the OUTPUT of my SAMSON S-Patch bay, which later will be patched to the INPUTs of my FocusRite Saffire Pro40, the Pro40 is protected from phantom power from my Preamps, right?

Scarlet turned way up, does it sound better with a cloudlifter just because the scarlet will be turned down?

Can you show how to do it using the 4i4? When I try, the mono signal only comes out 1 speaker. If I pan left there's no sound

The best exciter in my opinion is the first edition BBE 802. It's built like a tank, and have transformer-balanced in / outs. It also has the original Barcus Berry chips inside. It has a warm character with powerful bass and silky smooth top end with absolutely no "harshness". The 802 can't be compared to the newer BBE versions, which is crap. (Made in the PRC)

Hey man, I just wanted to ask In your experience what are the most accurate and neutral headphones you have tested? what I mean by this is which headphones that you have tested comes the closest (with the least amount of deviation if not being identical) to reproducing the original signals like the sine wave, music, spoken word and in the log analysis etc. the reason I ask is because I need headphones with surgical accuracy, precision and no hype or deviation whatsoever for critical listening that I can use for work so if you could please answer this I would appreciate it thanks

Really useful with the processed sound segment. Not many reviews offer that at all. Most microphone users will process the sound in post.

I haven't used the SX3040 before, but it sounds similar to my Aphex Exciter. My Aphex Exciter is one of the best pieces of outboard I own, and I have about 64U of outboard gear of many different types.
