Hey, I love your channel, found it today and binged on like 20+ videos lol. Can you help me out with my use case here please:
    1. I want to start video editing, so I'm learning now and found that I should use "neutral" sounding headphones. AKG k240 with velour or m50x seem fine, correct me if I'm wrong.
    2. Other thing is a general use case: I live alone, but I'm next to school, but also when GF comes over I can't concentrate due to sound (used to being alone and working in quiet). What headphones would you suggest for me? Previously I was using some cheap 30-50$ random store headphones which you probably didn't even hear about, but my general problem is that I'm working at a computer for at least 5-10hours a day, and my ears and head would hurt from clamping and it would be really hot.
What would you recommend for me it that area? Airbuds? Wireless Sony 1000xm5? Some other open/ closed headphones? This is for consumption - gaming, watching movies/yt, and working - so when I'm working it's either to listen to something or just to clear the noise (not listening to anything, more like ear plugs lol).
I would prefer wireless over wired, but open to a wire as well..
PS - I'm open to buying 2 sets - 1 for video editing and neutral sound and 1 for everything else/general use.
Would love to hear your opinion on this.

Hey man, your HP review are invaluable ! Please, please, please, make some reviews about the Audeze LCD open-back range of Headphones. LCD-X, LCD-XM4, LCD-4, LCD-4z, LCD-5...

I see many people online compare these to the 560s, what's your thoughts on this comparison?

I love the sound on these for regular music listening, but what kills me in the lack of swivel side to side of the ear cups. If your head shape fits these or you don't get affected by pressure points normally its 100% worth a purchase for music enjoyment!

I've come full circle from the Planar M1060 and now to these to hopefully settle on headphones for a while. It seems like these are in the same place as the m1060 when they first came out, being the entry to good planars at around the same price. Diminishing returns is definitely real in this hobby and I definitively learned $3000 dollars in 😅 (made up most in re-sales) but still, I'm hoping to settle on these.
Would be cool to see a review on the m1060 and how they do in 2024 compared to everything that has come since.

Definitely can be a $$$ hobby lol... Nice idea on the m1060, I'll try to make that happen. Cheers!

Can you please do a review of the OneOdio A71/70 (bluetooth), for I've had ALL of the oneodio line, and find that the A71/70 ones almost blow the doors off of their Studio 80's only downside I found with the Studio 80's is they fell apart in a day and a half. Sounded great, but not worth it at the cost of the unit falling apart on me 1 1/2 days of ownership. Next one that comes close to that sound are the 71/70's (IMO) but would love to see what your testings' show. They can be had used (the A71) with a mic for $15 or new for $35 off Amazon, so please please please do your test on them, for I've had the AKG 240 studios (what a lifeless turd those were) and the SHP 9600's as well as some corsair (HS line up to the HS65), bluedio, jvc, jbl, and many others, but NONE of them can come close IMO to the oneodia 70/71 (close back but with a great soundstage considering) lineup, IMO to my ears. If you want a purest form of headphones without much bass or treble boosted, I find the Knox Gear 100's (open backs) sound fabulous without hyping anything, but not sound dead and lifeless either....I power them with a Sound Blaster X3 good all the way up to 600 OHMS, it gives them one heck of a PUNCH, even when things get busy, still clear sounding, again IMO and to MY ears, without that fancy gear :)

Thanks for sharing + all the detail! I have had a few requests to look at the A71 or 70 and will try to get a set in for review. Cheers!

I have Sennheiser HD 560s and thinking of buying Sundara,is there much difference between them..?

    • @askdrtk
      @askdrtk  10 месяцев назад +3

The 560s are a good all around performer, the Sundara have a bit rounder and warmer low end and some advantage in imaging, but imo the “upgrade” is not a great value from the 560s.

I loved these when I tried them out, but I've heard a lot of issues regarding quality control and didn't want to get caught with a dud.

HIFIMAN SUNDARA Closed-Back are going for 60% off too. No idea if they're any good. Super pretty tho.
