This is cool! did you have to change out the servos and beef up the ailerons for control at that speed? My Dolphin at a measly 130 is starting to have control issues at max speed.

Thank you so much for this detailed video. One question: While your engines are running, do they charge both batteries or just the one that you have selected? I am very new having just bought a 2007 Yamah 230SX. I want to be able to run the sound system if we are out all day without worrying about running the battery dead. Also, do you have any kind of battery meter that shows the charge on each battery?

im trying to hit 150mph in my penguin. i did 136 3D speed and about 126 GPS. im gonna tune the settings and minimize drag. should hit 140mph soon. i have a dolphin too and i want to get it up there as well. can you do 3 motors? also a fresh battery is needed for each run. voltage sag will kill your bat on the 1st run.

Just did this install on my 2006 SX210 but used the KILMAT brand 18sq.ft kit and was the perfect amount of required for complete coverage. Maybe your AR has a slightly smaller engine cover? Definitely would have come up short with 16sq.ft on my SX210.

I just picked up an older Caravelle with a tower and Krypt top. The problem is, I run 6'5" and need to put the bimini on top like you did there. But, the anchor light is on top. Doesn't the anchor light have to be the highest point? Thanks for the concise instructions. Good vid.

Help, do those cables sometimes get bent back down under there. My throttle is stiff due to my boat sucking a wakeboard rope got sucked under. I think the rope pulled the cable rod or bent the rod to the bucket.

I ordered YDS software and cables at Amazon for $40. Installation went fine except I could not configure the com port. Tried showing hidden devices in Device Manager did not work. Reviewed your video again very carefully and was able to set port to com1.

Getting ready to do a similar setup on my '06 SX230. Do you think you could have gotten away with just tee'ing the vents together and just doing one hull penetration? Obviously, you lose visibility to which bag is full, if they aren't individual, but that may not be a big deal.

Not sure if you could help me with my question but I put the boat in the water today and for no reason that I can think of, the starboard engine turns over but won’t start. I’ve googled a million times and none of the results have a good answer. Any thoughts/suggestions?

Hi Jeff If BLHeli doesn’t show the low voltage cut off, does it mean there is no cutoff for that esc? And do you connect the BLheli configurator thru the FC usb plug? I used a BLHeli usb dongle directly to the esc, which is not so convenient 😅

Ok so as I've statated in the last coment I made, "I love your vids, especialy this one, SOOOOO I buitl another Dolphin so perfectly, seting up the VTOL as you Jeff made it clear how easy it was. Everything came out perfect, I wish I could show you the pics, but nothing but headaces!. Statboard Necell activates a hole second later then port and I always get " Arming disabled flags: NAV THR CLI" nomater how many sats I have. I bought the controller you have so I could -copy- paste- your "DIFF" ,but at this point the only thig I can think of to do is by a different controller board. I don't have any more hairs to pull out. So pissed. Thank God I got some gooooood smoke to help my calm down!!

Porpoising happens on landing, I think what you were experiencing was the unstable design of that model. It would probably just average out at the desired altitude

Hey Jeff! What kind of flight time are you getting with this / is better or worse than the 6s 1950kv setup you did earlier?

I'm new to Dolphin. Checked CG, had all my PID settings set. Had good launch & climbout in angle mode. I throttled back to see how it would glide and it stalled & went into spin. Would this be something the FC caused? Would it be better to switch to manual mode for glide, or does the Dolphin tolerate gliding? Thanks.

A few points: The bolt on the steering clevis should ALWAYS go from the top down. This is to keep it from falling out if the nut comes off. Don't use sharp tools on an O-ring groove, you could scratch it. Wrap your fingers around both sides of the cone and squeeze the O-ring until it bulges out and grab it and pull it off. What good does it do to repack only one bearing? What about lubricating the steering and shift cables?

😂 your perseverance and excitement in the final flights hit home hard😂 I know that feeling well when something you created halfway does what you in vision it to do. The hobby is hard enough with foamies then you add 3D printing in the equation which is not that forgiving of a material but with patience when it works, pure bliss 👍🏽 thanks for the content.

I cannot thank you enough for this video! 100 miles from home port and no one works on Yamaha (jetski engines) anywhere nearby. Jumping the solenoid and where it was helped us be able to get back home. I jumped a solenoid years ago on an old truck so not foreign to me.

I agree 100% the Wakewedge is a pain in the ass to install, so much I don't use it anymore.

Thanks Jeff for taking the time to do this. I'm always trying to find a surfable wave with my 212x. I have the transom bag, Wakewedge and Jetwash Deflector and I installed larger port and starboard rear compartment bags.

I've been crackin my head as well, a crystal clear setup explaination. oustanding job lad !!!
