I would love to know what the before wall color was, and would even like more information about your wall-to-wall carpeting - I’m in the planning stages of a major renovation. Just one more question: what direction is this room facing? I ask because the bookcase color looks stunning in the natural lighting of this room.

A little late comment. I may be wrong but my take is that the iron was not warm enough to activate the glue. I’ve seen hundreds of videos of restorers glueing new veneers on old furniture and they always, always, iron directly on the veneer, never use a fabric or paper in between. I’m afraid the presence of the sheet disturbed the glue from being properly activated 🤔

Beautiful work. Love the color combination. Greens go very well with browns and any natural shade of wood. Amazing the secret drawer for silverware 🍴 looks like it was created to hide or make it difficult to find the precious pieces of silver in the old days. Really beautiful piece.

Absolutely loved the dresser after the tan wash with the yellow. What a meaningful and symbolic gift for a wedding present. The dresser and the couple are starting a new life together that will be cherished and enjoyed for many years and generations to come. What a beautiful job Lisa!

Your dad gave good advice about getting tools as you need for a project. My dad gave me tools for birthdays and Christmas; very appreciated and thoughtful gifts. You learned so much! Great design on colors, beefing up the bookcases, wall molding and sconces. I will use your technique to strengthen the shelving and secure it to the wall on a "death trap shoe unit" in my closet.
