It's beautiful IMHO and it's acoustically done.

Hi Tiffany. I saw Peter on his 'Us' album tour in 1992 at Earl's Court in London, and on that performance, Sinead O'Connor joined him for the performance. She had recorded 'Blood of Eden' on the same album, and was there not only to perform that song, but sang backing vocals throughout the concert too. Great memories. Thank you for this. 🇫🇮❤ Marko's father was an English teacher, but also a music lover. He used to sing lullabies to Marko & his younger brother Zachary. I, also, prefer this Finnish version. It feels like it has more emotions and it suits it better. Thank you very much for the beautiful reaction. "Pyre of the black heart" album is something ethereal for me, it blew my mind when it came out. So many layers, emotions, I just LOVE everything about this album, music-wise and lyrics-wise. Well, maybe I'm a bit biased, because I'm a huge Marko fan since Tarot 😅 Btw: I strongly recommend you to give a listen to "I dream" and "Truth Shall Set You Free" from this album. Each song is great by itself, but together they hit even harder.

It's great that you're buring yourself into Marko's solo work. All Nightwish artists have also so much to offer also outside of the band. Fun fact: In the beginning, Nightwish was the opening band for Marko's band Tarot (which he founded with his brother Zachary). According to Marko, they had no experience, they did not know how to dress or even move on stage. They seemed very uncertain to him. But after two years, a completely different band took the stage. Nightwish worked on themselves a lot. Therefore, Later, therefore, he was happy to accept their offer to join the band. BTW: since English is not my mother tongue, I never understand any lyrics unless it's in Czech. I always read the lyrics later.

it's Old Nordic language , from when vikings roamed scandinavia .. the band try to reblicate that age with handmade instruments and known viking scripts , if you wonder why it ends this way ... In Viking lore it was belived that you only go to heaven ( Valhalla ) if you confront/battle an enemy as strong or stronger then your self . only then would Odin let you into Valhalla and meet your "dead" friends and family ..
