It's genuinely hard to top the Acolyte for sheer STUPIDITY in a show, as divorced from Tolkien's works as they are, and even though it reads and watches like a first draft, the pacing isn't insane, the story isn't self-destructing, and far more actors in it can act, as opposed to the one guy in the Acolyte... This isn't saying much, but ROP is of better quality all around.

Except for Cirdan, but that guy is ANCIENT! It's just not right for an elf who is so much younger than Galadriel to be Grandma Brimbor and treat him like an absolute imbecile!

Hahaha! It probably won't hit until all five seasons have aired. So that way they full up the full measure of Iluvatar's wrath.

Yeah, I'll admit, I loved RWBY so much that I excused a lot of things that should have been warning flags. And I didn't want other RWBY fans to hate me, because this show does have an incredible uniting power. However, as a I grew up as an author, critique, and fan, I couldn't just keep excusing the bad signs. And as the show kept getting worse and more annoying, my energy for reviewing it, positively or negatively, took a tremendous nosedive...

@@camillesharem that was very sad I found you from you're RWBY Viz vid and looked at ur channel and saw how much you loved RWBY even glancing away at it's flaws, glad Indie animation can atleast fill you're void that RWBY left out, like hey Murder Drones is ending soon tho it may has it's flaws and may not be as popular as Digital Circus atleast it sticked to what it was and ended it it's own term's while RWBY ended up being so long yet doing so little.

@@yuukianimates3318 Yeah, I am excited to see the end of Murder Drones, and after doing a review for episode 8, I will do a full retrospective on the season as a whole to point out its strengths, it flaws, and the many lessons we can learn from it. :) As a whole, I am so grateful For Murder Drones and TADC, and even RWBY for inspiring so many other creators. It's just a shame that RWBY isn't the gem that it once was.

No, I was never able to bring myself to do it because I was so disappointed in the Volume. So. Much! WASTED POTENTIAL!!! I love the idea of another world, a Wonderland where fairytales can be parodied and broken down in unique ways to expose the weaknesses in each girl and Jaune. The only one who really receives that treatment of Jaune, but he immediately takes a backseat to Ruby and crew. Ruby finds out she was always good enough, the power was always within her. Hurray... Yang never takes responsibility for how she helped nudge the team away from Ironwood, which made him finally snap, Weiss is now comic relief after a milktoast "redemption" arc for the Schnee family, and Blake is the token Faunus love interest to Yang! If it had been me writing this season: Yang would have been humbled into the dirt, so she could rise again like a Phoenix, wiser, kinder, and ready to once again do whatever was necessary. Weiss NEEDS to confront her legacy for good and forgive her family. Not merely accept them. Blake is the bookworm of the group! She should have been owning this world until she learned how much of a parody it all was and has to confront harsh, uncomfortable realities of duality, which will help her be better rights and freedoms activist! Ruby needed to learn the power of a single, honest soul. They had it with Tiny, BUUUUUUT.... The writers bungled it! And this is where I think that Monty actually had a long term plan that he left them, which did include Wonderland. This was supposed to be the passage through death and the emergence of real heroes for the final arc against Salem. I can see the narrative unfolding wonderfully across the big picture. But just because I can see that picture doesn't excuse a poorly written season. I think Miles and Kerry had gone so far afield from what Monty had intended that they tried to shoehorn their vision into his roadmap and it caused all the great setup to fall apart because they weren't organically knitting these ideas together back in Volume 5! And as paths diverge over time the more irreconcilable they become... And that is what RWBY Volume 9 ultimately is: proof that the show is no longer what Monty created, but something else. And what it is now is inferior to the first Volumes in every way but animation. And when you hit the realization, it's really, really hard to get excited for more RWBY or to talk about more RWBY, especially when there are so many other amazing stories to be explored and enjoyed!

@@camillesharem RWBY wasn't just Monty's idea but hes friends around him, but "HES" friends now dont have him, the Captain of the ship while they help him flesh out his story, but the moment Monty died they thought they can be Captain, but without truly knowing what it means they just ended up anchoring their ship until they eventually sunk the boat. In short RWBY was just wasted potential and lost the key part that made it RWBY and that was Monty, instead of having someone replace him like his Wife Sheena, Shane, DillonGu, anyone who had the same drive as him incharge but Miles and Kerry were incharge and instead of being humble and realized they may be friends with Monty they may not be the right writers for this show but that didn't happen and kept getting worse and worse till RT finally shut down, the ship finally sinking. We just needed a Monty to drive the ship someone who can respect and understand what he may have tried to do but Miles and Kerry did the opposite, really wonder what this sunken ship can do after Viz ended up driving it and giving it to a competent studio and actually be good again but it won't change if Kerry is involved or they give him less power and just take his script and fix it, time will tell.

@@camillesharem I just watched Deadpool and Wolverine and It reminded me alot of this situation with RWBY, basically Deadpool's world is dying since Logan(Wolverine) died and without him being a anchor for his world it'll die after bout a thousand years give or take, Deadpool doenst want that cause he's finally has friends and family still searching for purpose, so not wanting his world do die he went to the multiverse and tries to get another Wolverine in his world to potentially fix his world. If only Miles and Kerry had the same thought and instead of thinking there are enough and not find a replacement for Monty, he doesn't even need to be 1 person, but multiple people with Monty's drive and passion towards RWBY, but just like what I said without a Anchor deadpool's world without a Wolverine it'll slowly die a painful death and that's exactly what happened at the very end, while Deadpool ended up finding a replacement and saving his world Miles and Kerry didn't and the rest is history.

@@yuukianimates3318 Ain't that just the sad truth. I think there might be someone in the future within Viz who takes a stab at rebooting RWBY, but we'll just have to wait and see. And maybe they will be the anchor figure we need to complete Monty's vision!

@@camillesharem maybe not just 1 anchor but multiple, if 1 falls multiple can take there place, really wonder what viz cooks up for us, idk how this work but i guess they need to pitch it to a studio until they agree or viz just use there powers and just force a company to do it whether they are worthy of it or not this could honestly go either way, hope they find anchor who can drive the site forward not Miles or Kerry or any of the writers really a curious fate RWBY is left with, or they can just reboot it lol.

All it will take for Bill to return is for someone to shake his hand and make a deal. It's as simple as that, and the Pines aren't taking that simple loophole serious enough. Duh! Duh! Duuuuuh!!! Thanks! It's so great to finally hit this mile marker. And it's been amazing to see so many people join us along the road. And for all kinds of reasons, too. It's a wonderful adventure, and I hope we continue to grow and move forward. :)

@@jamesgriffieth7873 Awesome! I've been trying to incorporate more of my own experience and training as a teacher into some of these videos, especially on our live streams. Sometimes all a novice author needs is a good, bonafide lesson. And I try to do that. So, thanks for noticing. :)

Bad production habits, a lack of humility to take criticism and learn, and worrying more about check marks than the story... Those and so many other mistakes have really hurt so many of Disney's recent shows and movies. There's honestly some great ideas and concepts in the bunch, but they continuously self-sabotage.

@camillesharem The funniest thing is that it's essentially the world's most expensive writing prompt. Everyone who talks about it can't help but start inventing ways to progress the plot and characters more naturally... then they stop themselves and go "wait, I'm thinking more about this than the actual writers!" But we don't have to stop, it's already fanfic, may as well come up with our own versions. It's giving us all practice :)

@@ethanmoon3925 Hahahaha! That is such a great way of putting it. Yeah, let people keep developing the prompt and story further; show Disney how it's done! Maybe one of these writers here on the internet will one day have the chance to to work on Star Wars and actually do something great. It might be a dream, but it's one worth working towards!

There's definitely a lot left unsaid in Hilda that should have been said. Season 3 was a great concentrated story, but lost of a lot of the whimsy, grand scope, and adventure that built up the whole story. And Hilda needed to be somewhere different as a character after everything she went through. We see her maturing, but it's nebulous by the end. Endings are hard...

No, I'm still a fan of RWBY, and I'll still watch the new episodes. Like I said, it's like being ex who wants what's best for the person you once dated. But the exhaustion with all the bad writing is just too much and I'm no longer excited. So, I won't waste my time making any more videos on RWBY unless I feel it is absolutely necessary. And unfortunately, my hopes are not high at all for the show going forward. It would be great to see Viz prove me wrong, so best of luck to them! And good luck to the other fans out there.

Ooooohhhhh!? Very interesting! I thought it was interesting that Godwyn would be the only kid in the whole family who wasn't cursed or screwed up in some kind of way. He just seemed like the goodest of good boys, but it does make sense if he had his own curse or twisted destiny that he felt he needed to fulfill. And there's a lot still from Ranni's past that we don't know. So it is conceivable that the siblings plotted this all out together, especially since there's a nod to Marika possibly knowing/being in on the scheme as well. And all to break the plans of the Greater Will! I know it's impossible for them to pull off something this massive, but I'd love to see a continuation game that explores the consequences of the Tarnished's decisions. Using Fia's Rune would bring about one of the more subtle and yet oddly dramatic changes to the Lands Between. I'd also like for her to have a longer, positive legacy. If that is indeed what such a choice brings...

That's totally fine! There's a lot to enjoy when playing the Coffin of Andy and Leyley. And the music helps, too.

Kinda hard to keep winning when the House of Mouse bought you out, sank over 70 billion dollars, trashed a bunch of productions, and then even changed the company's name to escape its legacy. Haha! That money isn't coming back until after a couple of decades of excellent business. And part of Deadpool & Wolverine's whole shtick is to pay homage to the ideas and stories that Disney scraped or left behind. True, at the end of the day, Disney and 20th Century are playing with hundreds of millions of dollars while Glitch is working with a few million. But when you dig deeper into the fan interaction, the viewership, the demographics, and media impact, Glitch is taking big Hollywood studios to task. If they could have the same popularity as what TADC and Murder Drones are enjoying, they would be rolling in massive profits from month to month.
