Just found your channel. Watched a few episodes. Looks like mostly fun. Do you have an episode that details/shows your equipment/bed layout? Taller than 70 inches is tight for sleeping inside? You are clearly a minimalist! Do you use a tent, pop up room, shower tent? Few years ago you installed a new engine. New transmission, and front "locker", are they operating well? Did the transmission rebuild include the transfer case? And how many miles on that new power train? How many miles did you get on the original power train? Any other power train upgrades planned/desired? Any major recommendations for someone setting out to live in a Cherokee? The most important tools you have needed?(ie; shovel/jack/portable power supply/winch/roof tent)

Hey Clark, glad you enjoyed the videos. I am having a lot of fun out here. I’m living the dream. I do have to make a video about my set up. Hopefully, that will be coming soon. I do live a very simple life out of the Jeep. The best advice I can give you is do not listen to social media. So show media will have you spend $50,000 to build out the Jeep just to make it look bad ass. Having a pop-up shower tent with a bucket and trashcan liners is pretty important. I took all the seats out of my jeep except the driver side. I have a 24 inch wide 4 inch foam mattress that I sleep on. I am very comfortable sleeping this way. My refrigerator is where my front seat used to be. I also have 300 amp hours of Lithium Batteries to run all my stuff. Any other questions just ask.

Great video as always. We seem to like the same spots in Montana. I fished the N Fork in July and was able to land a couple of nice fish. Also, hit the bakery and had amazing huckleberry danish.

It's cooling off around these parts. Storm this weekend, and Missoula is only going to get in the 60's and then 70's next week. Stick around!

We had a super hot July here. The North Fork was actually under hoot-owl and fishing was closed in the afternoons until the water cooled off. At least we've been getting some rain lately.

I think it’s been 20 years on the North Fork that the hoot owl went into effect. While I was on the north Fork I probably had four good thunderstorms come through. Just spend some time on bunker Creek and had two thunderstorms came through and one of them started a fire which luckily it burnt itself out. On Bunker Creek I had temperatures in the morning around 38° and midday temperatures went up to 90 to 100°. This is just crazy.

Hello John! Beautiful scenery and river, I hate the heat, as we see it has negative effects on a lot of things, but there is still really good fishing out west, we just need to find it, like you said, that's we you explore the areas. Enjoyed watching, have fun, stay safe.

Hey Jim, even though the heat makes the fishing suck it’s too beautiful and relaxing. I just spent some time by bunker Creek and in the mornings I have 38° and by midday I had temperatures in the 90s to 100°. This weather is crazy. May have to hit Canada for a couple weeks.

Hey John, that Kelly creek looked PERFECT!! Nice whitefish!! Do you remember your first trout in a fly? Mine was pequest river in people’s republic of New Jersey behind railroad passenger car dining room, 11” brown on a muddler, released to fight another day. I was 11 years old, fenwick rod and we used double taper lines back then !!

Hey Norman, I don’t remember my first fish on the fly rod, but it was back in 1985 up in New York State. I started Fly Fishing at the age of 30. I’ve always had a fishing pole in my hand since I was five years old. I remember having my zipco 202.reel.
