it one of the earliest live Lynyrd Skynyrd recordings known to exist publicly ,
It was recorded by a teenage fan of the band, Jim Brown recorded it on a reel to reel Tape recorder, in Fall 1970 at The Sugar Bowl Teen Center, in the Cedar Hills area of Jacksonville, FL. in November , 1970.

I love Steve. So much talent and gone way to soon. I sure wish he could’ve been with us longer. Such a sweet soul and beautiful human. He sure will be remembered always. He was really something. I still get tears in my eyes about Steve. So sad. I love 💗 listening to Steve helping Ronnie sing you got that right, Steve was awesome in every way, a great singer/songwriter/guitarist. We lost a gem for sure in Steve , they were all gems 💎 🙏🕊🙏🕊🙏 And I miss and love them so much. I think about Steve and Cassie’s parents quite a bit. Can’t imagine losing both my kids at an early age like that . Had to be just horrific for them.🦋💗🌹🕊🌸🌈💎💐🙏💕😢
Steve Gains is one of the most incredible guitar players I've ever heard. He deserves way more credit for being one of rocks top guitarist of all time. He oozed talent. And Ronnie saw that.

Just to fill in a little of the missing history, Lynyrd Skynyrd played shortly after this disastrous gig at the Jacksonville coliseum. Ronnie Van zant was throwing up blood! Shortly thereafter, they were rescheduled at the coliseum. This time the opener was the Atlanta rhythm section. I was at that show.Van Zant apologized to the audience for what happened there the last time! They played all the classics, along with the entire Give me Back My Bullets album. This was their new record at the time.

Hearing ABB's 1969 eponymous album changed the direction for Lynyrd Skynyrd. They left this sixties rock behind and followed the ABB into southern Rock.

"southern rock is a dead label.skynyrd is a rock'n'roll band" ronnie van zant , and from the very start , they chose not to tour with ABB for that reason, it is the tribute band who is now southern rock,
The truth is that R&R, at that time, had ceased to exist 10 years ago, and I dare say that it is unrepeatable and perfect. Although if it weren't for the demarcation line, we wouldn't have seen so many different proposals trying to evoke that genre. If I had to give an opinion, I would say that even if Ronnie didn't want it, the Dixieland influences absorbed by the band are very pronounced and consciously compacted, under a refreshing layer of melodic heavy rock. Although more than just imitating the ALLMAN BROS, perhaps with a couple of listens to Buffalo Springfield, Gram Parson, CCR, Lonnie Mack or Byrds, who were in love with the spiritual side of the U.S.A., it is enough to become a fan and imitator of these influences. . Even if some of them aren't southerners. Probably many artists prefer to see this as a terrain without stylistic and trivial self-management. So what Ronnie was saying is understandable.

@@travnugara4544If this is from 1968, as several sources say, I personally listen to tons of Neyl Young in the interpretive heart, which they eventually turned into AOR. And you can call me a liar, but a large part of Lynyrd Skynyrd's identity is already appreciably defined in this first single, they just hardened their style a little... I dare say they even made it more bluesy. I agree with the influence of Free 🤔 but if I remember correctly, Kussoff and Rogers began to play the "hard rock anthem" style that many bands refer to after the 60s. Although his best work in general is found in "Tons On Sobs" (full of electric blues) I understand that "All Right Now" marked the way for many. Indeed, this apparent hardening must have occurred around 1971.
