@@barbarabeesley7451 I made this, all by myself, during lockdown. It was incredibly challenging and by no means the greatest horror film of all time but I am proud of it. I look back and see some issues, but ultimately that is the art of filmmaking in a nutshell. I’ll use what I learned to improve in the future

Well, I can say that I respect your efforts. The story was unique, so that's good...but the genre is "horror" and this short was much sweeter than horror. Aliens cleaning and returning socks. Sorry . But that is a bit laughable. However, you stay true to your visions and don't let others' opinions sway you. We all have opinions, and there are people who live this film, I am sure....just like there are people who do not like it. Such is the business of movie making ....you can't please everyone. Best of luck to you with your future endeavors! 🖤

@@vrabes2959 That’s very kind of you! I look back on this short film with a lot of fond memories. The sound of the monster came from the idea that it had no visible mouth so it needed to have internal clicking/purring, a bit of rolling some r’s with my mouth closed with some pitch/tempo adjustments and voila!

@@baenre Claims bits of laundry - like the odd sock or two! It didn’t want to hurt anyone - Only after the man offered it generously to the monster, as a sign of peace, it gave back the sock cleaned

@@wendellsimmons42 Hi Wendell, thank you so much for your donation! You certainly did not have to! Hmm, interesting - what lens type are you using? Certain autofocus motors like focus by wire lenses may appear to focus in a more jagged, stepped manner

@@jesteves Hey! It’s possible you’ve loaded the wrong firmware onto the device, or put on the firmware for a different remote onto it. Basically the turning on and Bluetooth connection parts works operate with the same code, but the buttons and features may not align with the same code for a different remote leading to your issue What firmware did you load onto the device?

@@GimbleProductions that's my feeling too! The lights on my remote used to run a quick sequence when I turned it on, and that's not happening anymore. I've tried pretty much all the firmware for P6K you have on "firmware.rar", using easyloader to burn in between tries (I'm assuming it resets the device before flashing new firmware). I think the problem is I own the BLE-PLUS (2022 version) remote controller, which is not featured on your video, and all the firmware you have on the shared folder dates from 2020 or 2021, which strongly suggests I'm loading the wrong firmware (the name of the remote after loading different firmware is also a clue, it's either BMD Magic or BLE Max, not BLE Plus). Do you think it's possible to reach out to them to get the firmware for the BLE-PLUS 2022 version?

I contacted the manufacturer (had to do a bit of Chinese translation) and they provided instructions on how to fix the issue for Update 8.6 if that is what you’re facing Please view this google drive folder and refer to the PDF titled 'Controller FAILED CONNECTION FIX'. @@GimbleProductions Hey, thanks for the reply but that's not my problem. As I wrote, my camera (the Blackmagic pocked cinema camera 6k) doesn't show the bluetooth pairing code whenever i activate bluetooth on the camera. i didn't got to the part with the remote and its software yet, i mean i downloaded it and tried it but couldn't really progress since, as i said, the camera itself won't show any pairing code whenever i turn Bluetooth on (on the camera, not the remote).

I already contacted BM, and told them that I got this issue, lets see what they respond.

Sadly not yet, though there is metadata being created somewhere in the camera and files. I’d love to be able to do 3D tracking paired with the camera gyro data to get more reliable tracking

Hey mate, that’s strange - I had no issue exporting with the free version? Are you using the same Cascadeur version outlined in the video?

Most of these mods will work for the P4K :) The magicbooster will need to be the P4K model though and not the 2.5K version).

Thank you for your comment and your compliment! You are correct! I use a high shutter speed but that makes footage appear choppy. To counteract this, you can add a Motion Blur amount in the colour page in Davinci Resolve OR apply a Pixel Motion Blur effect in Adobe. Pixel Motion Blur in After Effects is pretty good as it lets you set a desired shutter angle! You can simply put 180 as the value and voila! Resolve requires you to somewhat guess the value, but with reference footage, you can set the value to your liking

It looks great! I like the addition of the handle with the AI tracking features. Still a bit bulky for my liking, but at least since this video was released, better and more refined versions of LiDAR focusing systems are gaining traction.

What lens are you using? Sorry to hear that your experience is like that, mine definitely does not have any issues. Might be worth looking to get it either refunded or swapped for a replacement unit

Interesting - make sure there is only one camera in your blender document I’m not completely sure why you are having that issue - what did the video look like in your scene?

I feel like I'm close, got the controller to connect to my 6K Pro (8.6) after flashing the first fix, but I'm unable to use the Rec button or any other functions like I used to before upgrading the camera's firmware. Tried flashing one of the camera's bin on top but still not working. Thanks!

I suppose you could always use the Blender tracker for this, I just prefer the AE2BLEND method as it is much more reliable. Either way will work!

I would imagine so! RS3 has better strength in the motors too, and would mount using arca so it wouldn’t need my mounting steps to get on the gimbal

@@GimbleProductions Yes, Im just worried about the size of the gimbal as this seems to be bigger so you can take the camera farther back. Maybe it gets stuck in the RS3 non pro one. The pro one is just too big for my use.

Interesting! Hmm, make sure all the keyframes in the After Effects layer are highlighted blue before performing the copy command with CTRL + C. I would also suggest making sure you are copying the keyframes with your time cursor at the start of the timeline in After Effects. Always copy the keyframes with the player at the start of the timeline! Please let me know if that helps

@@GimbleProductions something I have wanted to learn is to be able to track 3D elements onto people. For example a helmet onto myself or a 3D object into a hand. For the types of videos I make that would be very useful.
