We have two 6K Pros. We didn't really experience any of the blue tint on the monitors like other people were experiencing but the ability to change the monitor now is awesome. Really really love the histograms now too. Makes it so much easy to see what you're doing. The auto focus was definitely an improvement too. Still have our fingers crossed for continuous auto focus, but we're take what we can get haha

My BMPCC 6K pro DOES NOT work with my DJI ronin RS2 anymore ... Before the firmware update 7.3 I could control focus on my RS2 and start recording and now I cannot do anything because there’s seem to be a problem with connectivity after new firmware.
I guess it’s Monday over there...:-) I thought that’s weird coming out on a Sunday...lol. I noticed we have a percentage on the battery now. Have we always had that?
With the 6K now is possible to film 4K DCI RAW, there is a crop as you say, but, is corious that the crop with RAW is 4K sensor size while ProRes is 5.7K. Both 60 fps max. Hope there is another update and make full sensor size or near to the prores 5.7K. How can we now the crop number for the new 4K sensor size crop?
It’s because raw is directly that - raw feed off the camera’s 4K area , leaving 2k of unused sensor. Prores shrinks a 5.7k image and downscales it, and can do so because it is not raw
Sadly, the purported improvements to active lens support and auto-focus actually degraded on several critical lenses, including Tamron G2 models (e.g., auto-focus now broken).
... And it bricked both of my Lumix (14-45, 45-200) lenses. No electronic connection, no manual or autofocus, no iris control ... nothing. Had to uninstall and reload the previous one.
Apologies for the noob-ish question: If you upgrade your BMPCC 4k with this 7.3 update, can you still view / edit the your video clips in Davinci Resolve 16.2 that still uses the previous generation color science?
I just update to the new firmware and the iris on the viltrox stopped workig, I tried to reinstall the 3 available firmware from the viltrox official page for the speedbooster but it didn't work at all...
I heard of that. Supposedly attach the lens and Speedbooster after turning the camera on has worked for some. Looks like viltrox will have to update their firmware soon to be compatible
@@GimbleProductions hey so it is improved? And not low light i still correctly expose but with dual native iso 400, 3200 should look similar right? Where as mine looks crazy noisy at 3200
I assume because Gen 5 colour science has much less contrast, the contrast-based autofocus was a bit slower in recognising parts and details of an image. I’d say it’s a SLIGHT improvement, but may also refer to autofocus and electronic lens compabilities

Does the camera crop in when filming in 4K DCI RAW or does the camera downscale the 6K image from the full sensor readout?
Cropped sensor, so you lose a bit of field of view

I’d expect it is tricky for BM to test every lens during the firmware process, though I’m hoping they will release a 7.3.1 update for bug fixes soon

I believe so, I think it would just view the files with Gen 4 colour science. Gen 5 though is great so you should probably upgrade
How did you get the BLACK screen background at 0:50 while adjusting the tint?

Yup same problems with my metabones ultra 0,71 since 6.9.6 update and still there despite 7.3 update.
I updated my Pocket4k and my viltrox adapter still works fine.
Anybody know what the crop is exactly on the 4K raw on a P6K?

Any news on if this fixes noisy footage? My footage with pocket 6k pro at 3200 is way noiser than 400 any idea why?
Raised blacks of Gen 5 colour science I imagine - shooting in low light anyway is bound to cause some noise. What scenarios are you using 3200 for?
