Lessons I Learned After I Quit My Management Consulting Job
Back many years ago, I shared online how I quit my 6 figure high paying, management consulting job. It’s to this day still my most trafficked blog post, RUclips video, everything. I've definitely learned some lessons along the way since then and I wanted to share some of them with you. For some of these lessons it has the perspective for someone who wants to start their own business or is interested in entrepreneurship so it might not be as relevant to others who have quit a job to go into another corporate setting. Regardless, I hope that this helps in some way!

    I love using the life wheel to check in on myself and all areas of my life. I’ve been using a printable version but for anyone who loves Notion, you can actually recreate this chart so easily. Instructions below on how to do this! - Start a new page - Create a List View and label the list - Create separate “Pages” in the List View and label them with all the areas of wellness: Spiritual, Mental, Physical, Home, Career, Finances, Relationship, Recreation - Create a new “Number” property and label it “Rating”. - Change the field to show as a “Ring” divided by 10 - Connect your page to notion2charts.com - Select a radian chart and label the X axis as Name and Y axis as Rating - Embed the generated chart to your Notion page! After you give each area of your life a rating, ask yourself: ✨What is going well in each area of your life? ✨What are the areas where your energy is going? ✨What areas do you feel some discontentment in? ✨What does alignment look like in the areas of life that are important to you?

    Hi Rachel, I live in South Africa. The sun is always shining here and there is always the risk of developing skin cancer if you have a light skin. I developed a growth on the lower eye lid of my right eye. I do not know if it is cancer or just a benign growth but I went on a high nutrition diet for about two months and the growth have shrunk noticeably. I would like to share the diet with you. The soup Ingredients: - two handfuls of Chopped broccoli, one chopped onion (purple), two bags of green tea, two pinches of mixed herbs, two sticks of cut celery, Two handfuls of frozen and crushed spinach or kale, half a table spoon of crushed garlic, Three shakes of black pepper, seven shakes of turmeric, two tablespoons full of apple cider vinegar (with the mother), one bag of white onion powder soup for flavour, a hand full of cooked red speckled beans and a handful of cooked mince meat. Just add all the ingredients in a pot, add boiling water and switch the stove on high till the water boils. Then lower the heat until the water simmer, Let the soup simmer for an hour. The soup is now ready. I would only drink water in the morning. At 12h00 I would start eating the soup. There will be about two helpings that you can eat in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. I also ate a fruit salad every day in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. (Note: Apparently turmeric reduces the effect of some chemotherapy drugs and thus should not be taken during chemotherapy.) During the rest of the week I would also eat food that contains vitamin D like avocado’s, mushrooms, liver and eggs in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. It seems to be working for me, maybe it will also work for you. I pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ that the cancer will not return. Amen. I would also like to share the following six videos with you about salvation and two videos about evolution: Evolution vs. God ruclips.net/video/uc_W9VtzJ0A/видео.html DESTROYING Evolution In Under 3 Minutes ruclips.net/video/sWecPwrQv2c/видео.html Watch the Holy Spirit Work in Her Heart (Very Moving) ruclips.net/video/iBEoI2u6kII/видео.html Fearing The Lord, God’s Discipline & Sharing The Gospel ruclips.net/video/dES5WW66Mro/видео.html A Clear Gospel Presentation by Pastor Steven Anderson - How to go to Heaven ruclips.net/video/IXEeMWCxyrQ/видео.html The Plan of Salvation ruclips.net/video/PmkhRMPvt_0/видео.html How to Get Saved ruclips.net/video/ajWdkuvrT6s/видео.html The Truth About Hell (Selected Scriptures) ruclips.net/video/AVzbh_dLq3s/видео.html Best regards Chris “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. Thank you for this video. It's been very helpful. I reached the end stage about 12 years ago. My eyesight kept going blurry, I couldn't eat or sleep properly, and I felt completely detached from myself and everyone else. I changed career last year to become a hairdresser and I've been noticing myself burn out again recently. I recognise that it's because I am a huge people pleaser on top of being a huge perfectionist. Your video has been very helpful in making me see that I am thinking about work far too much when I'm not there, and that I am overthinking and expecting too much of myself. I am going to focus on activities out of work that help me be mindful! 😊

      @@rachelrhee You broke the info down so that it was understandable to those of us who are still learning. I think the experts forget to do that. Also your presentation and style is very cool. Never give up as I'm certain you're channel is going to be huge. Thanks again. One question, I know you explained it, but am I right to say that you use Descript because it's easier to work with than Riverside? Do you feel the extra cost of Descript is worth it? Does Descript have features that you can't get with Riverside? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just looking to start a podcast with minimum outlay. As my name implies, I am dirt cheap (skate)! I do appreciate I need the right set up though...you can't succeed using poor equipment. I have a Fifine T669 mic on the way...apparently they go well for the price. I think I will use my gopro as my computer camera.

    • @rachelrhee
      @rachelrhee 3 месяца назад

      @@ADirtCheapLifeParaguay Thank you! And yes I actually love Descript a lot more than Riverside (though both are great!). If I were to go one or the other, I would actually go with Descript. Editing and splicing together different clips, removing the filler words, studio sound, etc is much more seamless. They also have video recording as well! I haven't tested that feature out yet with a guest but will check it out and let you know which I like better!

Doing SEO on RUclips will increase your video views, likes and shares very quickly. Your channel will grow very fast and your channel will rank in RUclips search results. @@rachelrheeI know that’s incredibly boring and old school, but I think email and a proper email setup are still very high up the list. Other than that I spend loads of time with ChatGPT and now often also “build my own GPTs” there. And then learning even just very basic programming or scripting skills probably increased my efficiency 10-fold. You can ask ChatGPT to do stuff manually, like create one document based on some input data. But knowing how to script a little and then how to talk to their API, you can feed it with some excel file about birds and then end up with a whole almanac, including a nice layout, pictures and whatnot. My favourite productivity apps are pretty interchangeable. Mail, Calendar, Tasks. Day One as a diary. VS Code for anything remotely text related… I already have to think about what else, but if I come up with more, I’ll leave another comment.
