Excellent timeline, I never new Ride/Loveless/Curve/Slowdive/Lush were years apart. I discovered all those albums within a few weeks of each other. It was a very, very happy time for me.

The Buried Life is one of, if not the best, album of all time. Every song is just PURE shoegaze perfection, and they're beautifully unafraid of abrasive noise, especially because they always turn it into the most saccharine, elegant sound you've ever heard.

Trivia: - They appeared as a band playing in a club in The Crow. - Original lead singer Annette Zilinskas was a founding member of The Bangles. - If you enjoy them, try DKFM's classic channel (DKFM2), they play songs from The Buried Life a few times a day. Unfortunately, they also play The Cranes every 15 minutes. I used to like them, but now Alison Shaw's vocals want to make me throw up. Seriously, every fifteen damn minutes, bloody Cranes. Even the amount of Cocteau Twins the station plays barely gets it out of my head. They need a third channel, "DKFM3, All Cranes, All Day".

Medicine is awesome!!

I turned many people on to Medicine when I first was listening to them in 1993. I had their second album, "Buried Life", on vinyl. Somehow it got stolen.. at least the tea leaf has good taste. They were the band playing in a scene in the original film, The Crow. Their song, "Slut", is used in the movie Doom Generation.

I began listening to curve when they first came on MTV's 120 minutes. The song, "The Coast is Clear", was my introduction to their majesty. I'm a huge fan of their entire output. Thank you for spotlighting this incredible band. Do you have any plans to do an expose on the band half string from Tempe, Arizona? They're genius! Heavily inspired songs, a truly gem. As well as Jun Shibuya's other works, Tron, CQ with members from Tokyo Shoegazer etc.
