    I was watching you take those pins past the 90°, I was wondering if it would be easier to strip the outer housing or tap off of the wires and just pull the wires up and take one at a time past the 90*. Anyway, I think you’re doing a great job. We don’t have to listen to how your dog barks and how your cats scratches his ear and all that stupid stuff that everybody has to put on there. Thank you. Keep up the great job.

    Did the baker tensioner take care of the noise issue. I just put a drag performance manual tensioner in mine and after that it was very noisy. Put a baker compensator in it, but still noisey. Should I try a baker manual tensioner as well?

I like this site as it also sells wire and connectors. I’ve purchased from them many times. As far as wire size, I’m not sure as I bought a wire extension kit. It’s probably 18 gauge if I were to guess.

      I had the Hayden tensioner in for one season before building the engine up to a 107” from the stock 103”. It worked great with the stock motor. Once I gained more power with the new build, I started getting some chain slap at different times. After trying a couple options, I ended up dumping the Harley compensator and going with a Dark Horse Man-O-War compensator and a Baker chain adjuster. This set up works very well in my bike. My wife has a 2006 that I built up to a 98” from the stock 88” engine. She has the old stock compensator and a Hayden tensioner that work awesome in that bike.

    I know this guy posted this 3 years ago, and he prolly doesn’t even have this vehicle anymore. Here’s my humble input, #1, get your self a 30-90mm two jaw bearing puller and pull the the stub shaft out of the transmission, replace the seal and the clips on the stub shaft, and the seal in the trans. You’re not suppose to re-use the circlip anyway, install the stub shaft on the new or old CV axle, install the new or old CV axle back into the trans, and have a nice day knowing you completed the job with little to no drama.

    You say Mark Baker told you the chain tightens up when hot. That can’t be right as metal expands with heat. SO Hot Bike says the exact opposite

    • @skydude426
      @skydude426 Год назад

      The way I understand it is the aluminum engine, transmission and primary casings expand, which has the effect of tightening the chain as the motor output shaft and the transmission input shafts move farther apart due to the expansion of the hot aluminum casings.
