I thought about getting this not long after it first was released but I never did. I still have not played this game.

Since most of your videos are coming from questions, I have a question. Does toast taste better if cut parallel to its length, cut parallel to its height, or cut diagonal? I have been wanting to know this question for many years but nobody has ever answered it properly. Every response has been "they taste the same." I have yet to see any actual study conducted on the manner. It is all hearsay and conjecture, which are kinds of evidence, but I have yet to see any actual proof of whether or not there is any difference in taste.

I usually make gaming videos, when I do upload, but I have some videos planned that have nothing to do with my usual RUclips videos. I am doing it for fun, not for millions of strangers to view some subpar garbage that some random guy put out on the internet for the world to see because of how big of an ego he has.

i play all atari on pc .. emulator..i have old atari console. iam not buying their crap now

PS3/Xbox360 were so pure compared to what we have today. Horse armor not withstanding, it was a better time.

I already have the 2600+ so I'm good. I'm just waiting on the official update for it.

I pre-ordered it and have a 2600+ and many iterations of OG hardware. I remember when the 2600+ came out, many folks remarked, "Why didn't they just do a 7800+?" Now they do a 7800+, and some of those same folks are calling it a redundant cash grab. For me, it's just another way to play the games I love with an esthetic I prefer over woodgrain. Choice isn't a bad thing. Also, it will release with the most recent firmware. Both 2600 and 7800 compatibility are much improved - with the 7800 side only having issues with one homebrew that has a custom sound chip (Rikki & Vikki).

It is odd that they skipped the 5200. I wonder why they don't release a system that plays 2600, 5200, and 7800.

Well, with many consoles, conpanies release limited editions and different colored shells. Atari went the extra step and made a shell for us who are more nostalgic to the 7800. Cashgrab or not, it makes business sense. :) Theres people like me who held out on the 2600+ for something like this. Atari listened, its a big win for me. 🎉

Yes the ps3 is worth having in 2024. There are so many games that are locked to that system. Littlebig planet 1 and 2 are the greatest games of all time. Sure there’s emulation but emulating ps3 is a huge hassle and it doesn’t always run correctly. PS3 is definitely worth it.

After recently purchasing a 2600+ a few month's ago just so I can play my 7800 games on a HD telly. This upcoming system has no interest for me. I can already play my 7800 cartridges on the 2600+ and that is more than fine to me. I've never had that fear of missing out mentality when it comes to games. And I'm certainly not the kind of gamer who has to have every variant of a console and handheld. The evercade being an example of that. I already have the original, the VS and the EXP. I don't need to get the super pockets and I especially don't want the upcoming alphas.

I am still waiting on the comment: "I have had three girlfriends and three different copies of OutRunners in my life. Every single relationship has ended during a pretty nasty game of OutRunners where my now ex-girlfriend got mad and as revenge she scratched up my copy of the game. I then put it up on eBay for $15. This has happened three times and I hope it never happens again. I have never bought a new copy of OutRunners and I now plan to stay single forever, just not to risk this ever happening again. I even sold my Genesis and all of the other games for it just to be safe. To be even safer I made myself even more unattractive by never brushing my hair and wearing clothes that make me look like a slob. I have been in self isolation ever since that last incident involving OutRunners, living alone in my basement, in my house, which is miles from the nearest town, away from civilization, away from people, away from video games, away from the outside world, just not to ever experience such a thing ever again."

It's a good option if you connect more with the 7800 and passed on the 2600+. I've got a feeling that if a 5200 was to be released it'd be by Retro Games Ltd because they've already released The400 Mini which is compatible with 5200 games. Keep up the awesome work PK!

Agreed. I love what Atari is doing these days but it's a hard pass for me on that one. I'm sure it'll sell like hotcakes though.

I have a couple ps3 systems running. I have a race wheel and a couple sharp shooters active. It's still online for free for now. I say it's worth it.

Thanks for tagging me but, as you know, I disabled tag notifications a few months ago 😅 OutRunners is amazing. To go fast though, you HAVE to play with and against Speedbuster, that's the only negative of this game. Everything else is top tier.

I wish that i liked it more. I’m mixed on it. I love it and also have no use for it. It’s wild. The controller isn’t great and the mapping for another controller is abysmal.

The point is it.a Cheap hand held whith a good set off games for it so what its flash memory the games are still the same games as they wore on the original consoles so what if hey can get damaged cds and blue Ray get scratches

In regards to Physical Media, I like having physical stuffs I can plug in and play without installing them has it's charms. On the other hand, as big as my physical game collection is, my Digital Collection on the PC completely dwarfs it, and I can install it on just about any PC I want.

Evercade scratches that old school gaming itch! So many people love physical cartridges that you just plug in and play. And yeah they fail but so does everything… even the digital on the internet will go away one day. I bet a higher percentage of Carts will last when digital libraries are toast. Nothing against the digital. Everyone is different and I say you do you and I’ll do me 🤣
