Pressure washer too hot
Allowing your pressure washer to run without pulling the trigger every few minutes will over heat the pump. The recycling water gets hotter with the constant friction. This is reduced with a n external bypass or a tank. On Banjo style unloaders it is important to allow the hot water out frequently.

May I ask Brian, When there are a few weeks (2-3) after using the airless sprayer before using him again with (acrylic paint) do I also put anti freeze in the machine for that time? Or left the machine empty after cleaning for few weeks? I suppose it's not good to keep clean water in the machine during 2 weeks.
@rolandsegers6482 if freezing is a concern, use antifreeze. Water is OK for short term storage like this.
Thanks Brian for your kind answers always, you are great!!!
Mine is not the same.

Hi Brian, I live in Thailand and here cannot buy that fantastic machine. So I bought a "similar" one, name Guchen 390 coming from China, for about 300 US $. I will start using him in about 3 weeks. What do you think can I expect from such machine? Outside it looks completely as a Graco 390 but of course not same quality, I am not naive. Have to say that I need to use the machine only for one project, a condo, walls and ceiling with good acrylic paint. My tips are 517 (walls) and 619 (ceilings). I am an old guy... 75. Greetings and thanks.
@rolandsegers6482 this should handle everything you need to do. When you have completed the job, leave antifreeze in the machine to keep the inside conditioned and corrosion free
Thanks Brian for your quickly reaction. Here in Thailand there is never frost so cannot find antifreeze. But what is available here is Toyota Super Long Life Coolant, pre-mixed (pink colour). Can I also use this product?
@rolandsegers6482 yes, that will work
Finally, I find a video with the exact same problem I was having yesterday… My hose exploded on my Dewalt 4400… And I’m not quite sure why. The first time I started it it stalled when I released the trigger… The second time I started it and released the trigger. The hose blew up and almost injured me.
Can I just back off the pressure by adjusting the pressure knob so it doesn’t surge again?!
@T1mmy230 this means the pressure is too high. Yes, you can turn the pressure down to prevent this. There should be a lock collar to prevent them from turning the pressure up too high
What does the unloader do on a presser washer.
@ottocarr3688 the pressure washer will build pressure continuously. The unloader will "unload" the pressure down to the low end to recycle the water when the pressure exceeds the setting. This happens when the trigger is not being pulled. Without the unloader, the pressure washer would over pressurize and shut the engine in a good situation or rupture a hose in a bad situation
@ Thank you very much!

the internal if the belt driven are double than the internals of the direct driven pump (provided the specs like PSI and GPM) are same or nearly the same. Thats why the physical size of the belt driven pumps are double or more than the physical size of direct driven pump.
I have new Simpson 4400 psi, 4 gpm unit that I think has the unloaded built into the pump. I used it for the first time this week with a pressure guage and it registered 3300 psi with a 4000 spike. I now know the spike is too high. I want to adjust the unloaded to 4000 psi but that would drive the spike too high also. Well after about an hour of running it it blew out the guage and also noticed my 5 gal bucket with soap and ash was totally full. Where did it come from? Also the black knob on the unloader is sctewef all the way down. Oh, I was running a 22” surface cleaner so should not have raised the pressure tight? Help please.

@jackel61-007 you can do that, but the creates an excessive use of water and a big muddy mess. Many places like HOAs will not allow that

Great explanation for a new starter like me. I have watched many videos, even the instruction manual of my new machine but no one explained the significance of free moving nut while connecting paint hose to the spray gun to allow for swivel action of the gun with hand movement. I was in a fix to see why the nut at the inlet of the spray gun kept turning. Thank you for your explanation. Also, thanks for explaning right and left placement of the spray guard/tip hoder for right and left direction of spray. Great work!

Would you recommend this machine or the small competitors?
@agent7agent759 I am very pleased with this machine. I can see this filling the needs of many painters. If used within the guidelines of what this machine is meant for, I would suggest the machine. I am not sure which machine you are comparing it to. So it would be difficult to make a choice as to which machine would be better. What machine are you matching it against?
Against graco quickshot, saying that I understand the capacity size and volume and that 400 extra umph it has plus the drip less gun , but again it's very hard to decide , here in Canada the titan costs 1400 plus tax and graco is 2000 plus tax , and I own the 395 and 9.5 hvlp units , 2 different animals, the only reason I want the small airless is so i don't have to load a 50 ft hose with paint and the same time I dont want to keep re filing the small cup of the quickshot, so I am kinda aiming to titan and wanted to consult you if it's worth buying it , thank you for your informative video

Great video! Will this procedure work for a pressure washer that fell in a pool? It was only in the water for about 5-10 seconds.
@terrybrennan2534 this will work to remove the water from the cylinder if it did get in. Along with draining oil and gas, flushing out the full fuel system as well. After removing the plug, check to make sure you have fire before going too far. If the coil is damaged, you have other concerns first

@@Dblood85 is this direct drive or bely drive?
@ it’s going to a belt drive.
@Dblood85 you must make sure that the pulley ratios do not allow for the pump to exceed the rated RPMs. Otherwise you are good
Could you possibly tell me where I can buy a belt guard/ pulley & belt. As a kit?
@chaseconcotelli4933 that is a hard one. Pressurewasher.com is good for belts and pulleys. The guard is usually proprietary to the company assembling the machine. Who makes the machine?

No water is coming out of the outlet, even with the pressure hose disconnected. No leaks anywhere. What should I look at within this pump? I removed the valve assembly and noticed the hydraulic pump is working perfectly. I sprayed a lot of silicone, wd40 and white lithium grease inside the pump and left it for hours, still no water comes out. I checked the filter screen, it's clean, I have removed every part 1 piece at a time and lubricated each component, then went on to the next. I did not see any corrosion inside and all o-rings and seals are like brand new. I removed the unloader valve and made sure it was springy on the end touching the ball bearing. Again, there is no corrosion and all o-rings look and feel like new. I'm totally stumped. What do you recommend I do next?
