Finally, I find a video with the exact same problem I was having yesterday… My hose exploded on my Dewalt 4400… And I’m not quite sure why. The first time I started it it stalled when I released the trigger… The second time I started it and released the trigger. The hose blew up and almost injured me.

Can I just back off the pressure by adjusting the pressure knob so it doesn’t surge again?!

@T1mmy230 this means the pressure is too high. Yes, you can turn the pressure down to prevent this. There should be a lock collar to prevent them from turning the pressure up too high

Do you keep a zero tip on for testing normally. Maybe could have averted an incident with a wider tip.

Yes, I use a zero. It gives you the highest maximum reading when in use.
In this situation, the tip size makes no difference. The rupture came after the trigger was released and there was no flow. With the trigger pulled, the system does not reach maximum pressure because you constantly have a "leak"

Brian I have a question it seems like I can't find no answers here anywhere but I believe you are the great professional technician that would have the answer on the HondaIGX800 EFI system WITH THE STR Governor Fi V-Twin Small Engine we had to replace at 100HR then we replace the oil cooler than now we are having a low engine power with surging rpm
No code show up I think has a weak ignition coil or valve need to be adjusted or the ECU needs to be reset from the rectifier replacement what are your thoughts brother sorry for the long message
