Buzzing Around Europe- France- Noticing World War 1 & 2
Just hard to miss reminders of World Wars 1 and 2 in France as we travel. It’s sad what people go through individually and as a nation in wars. It’s important to remember.

Buzzing Around Europe-A rainy day in France and a low speed roundabout.
Просмотров 10514 часов назад
I’ve been dragging my feet once in a while feeling the grip of the road through Ireland, Scotland, and now, France. When it drizzles I’ve put my feet down and had them just slide, sometimes even when I’m stopped. Roads here can be slick. I guess that’s what happened in this rainy roundabout. Just made the last turn, middle of the lane, straitened up, gently accelerating and over we went. Couldn...

Stopped to check out this abbey. Gusty day so the drone was only up for a few minutes. Found it on the Atlas Obscura app. I left out the sound as it was so quiet while we were there. #motorcycleadventure #skoolielife #gonow

Day 1 Buzzing Around Europe- Motorcycle Camping

Tuesday morning we hopped on the train right from LGW airport. All was going well until there was an incident on the tracks involving a person and a train. After that all of the trains to Southampton were cancelled. We waited at Barnham station for a bit. Got my first cup of tea in England. Made by Emma in the little shop. Paired with our first sausage rolls it was delicious! Waited and waited ...

So much history.
I’d give yourself the day to do it. To go slow enough to enjoy and avoid damage. I think we started about 10am and finished about 5pm.
Amazing photos , love the drone shots
I used mine on the island for the first time Friday night. Same problem. Thanks for posting this up, saved me from a return the HF.
Glad I could help!
So glad y'all are OK. Keep up the fun and we'll keep watching.
Wow. Glad you are both ok. Safe travels the rest of the way. 🙏❤️
Have you considered the famous Monet's garden in Giverny along the Seine river
Hey guys its Ian here, I met you in Ireland at the Powers Potter campsite. Iv been following along on your adventures and have total envy, wish I was still travelling. Glad you both safe after the accident, love the shot at the end of the video, there no better medicine lol.
Hi Ian! We’re both a little sore today but I think a day of walking around Paris may have something to do with that too. We were sooooo lucky in many respects. If we had lost traction before heading away from the roundabout we’d had been under someone’s car. Sorry we didn’t get to reconnect in N.Ireland.
Those injuries will hurt more the second day! Glad nothing too serious and you're able to ride away.. That European rain is extra slippery!
We realized later that the asphalt was so slick that our vinyl rain suits didn’t tear after sliding on asphalt.
Thanks for sharing. Looks like a beautiful trail. how long did it take to do the whole thing?
The CO shutoff system is a critical safety feature which can help to prevent the risk of sudden illness and death resulting from the accumulation of undetected CO, which is an odorless, colorless gas impossible for the human senses to detect. The health and safety of our customers remains our top priority and we recommend discontinuing any use of this product without a functioning CO shutoff system.
Then don't sell a product that requires servicing after having paying hundreds of dollars! Do you think I want to have to pay to have mine serviced every month because of this problem? No! People shouldn't be so stupid as to run it in an enclosed area or you should fix the problem...better yet offer free servicing for it every time it needs it! I'm sitting in 100 degree weather with a new generator that doesn't freaking work! Thanks harbor freight! You used to be my favorite store in the world! Not anymore! So I will take this advice before we die of heat exhaustion instead of carbon monoxide! 🤔
Love the new sticker 😊 Beautiful tour
Love it. Goodnight.💤
I'm sick of the nanny state... Enjoyed the video.
I get it. We’re visiting Ireland right now. Their rural roads scream “don’t be a little b!tch” No guard rails, one lane wide, traffic in both directions, a 60 mph speed limit that, if you could find a straight section, would be certain death in the corners.
Finally able to watch a whole video, yay internet! 🎉. Looks like a great time! Love y’all’s banter ! ❤
It's videos like this that keep the world moving forward. Thank you Big Blue Hauler
What were some of the highlights of your journey just west of Cork, Ireland, and did you encounter any unexpected surprises along the way? Also, are you on Facebook / Insta? I'd love to connect and hear more about your European adventures and insights! Let's keep in touch!
We’re bigbluehauler on instagram and Travis Mattson on Facebook. Unexpected surprises were the tiny one lane two direction roads with crazy high posted speed limits. No one was driving as fast as the speed limit. Absolutely amazing scenery. Fun helpful people. For me highlights are almost always the people we meet and the stories they tell.
Anyone know what these towers were for? There's another like this at Glendalough, Co. Wicklow, alongside an old church.
What I looked up said they must have been bunkers for the monks to retreat too. Bad shape for a bell tower I think. Also says the doors on the towers always face the west facing door of the church they were near.
Yeah, you'd never get a bell through that tiny door. It'd be like driving a donkey up a minaret.😅
So happy for you two having this adventure
Thanks!
wooooo
The castle, just imagine what it was like in its glory years.
Thanks so much for sharing!! Being a stone mason, the castle was my favorite thing to see. I can’t even imagine the effort it took to build such an amazing structure.
You’d love the Fastnet lighthouse that’s in SW Ireland . All the granite blocks were designed to dovetail into the ones around it. Like a big interlocking puzzle.
Awesome I'm so jealous!
My gen only had 9 hours on it when the yellow light was flashing. Bad CO sensor. Thanks for the work around. Worked great
Kinda pisses me off this CO¹ sensor isn't an optional thing with a switch to disable it. Just because 1 dumb vanlife liberal democrat died by not venting properly shouldn't mean 10 million people have to suffer sensor malfunctions... 🙄
Never a dull moment 😃
Where's the bike?
Looks like a great time!
Great representation! 😂😂
Thanks! I can’t hate on Florida and Orlando too much but… you just have those days sometimes.
Great video, in mine I used a piece of paper clipper cut it into two three side rectangles and then inserted them into white / green and black/white tape each to separate them and then taped the whole connector without cutting any wires. Its been working fine for the last few hours. Done.
Agree completely with the theory but not sure how you came up with your wiring bypass, plus my problem was a different brand, a Wen 3600 inverter generator, it has the CO watchdog. Any way I found the sensor and the placed a piece of tape over the actual area within the sensor that attempts to “inhale” the air around it. After taping I placed the generator in a placed it in a trailer for 30 min, a 10’ job trailer with all the doors sealed shut. Ran great!
Looking forward to it
We’re dying to get on the road! It’s like waiting for birthday and Christmas at the same time!
@@bendingjeeps 😂😂 I’m sure!
Thank you for your information very helpful although mine is the same way new predator
I’m glad it could help.
I did the mod on my 3500 Predator and now my generator only runs 18 seconds and then shuts off. What I ended up doing is to remove the CO sensor, thoroughly cover the sniffer holes with electrical tape, undo the bypass (sure glad I used the blue connectors) and now it runs great!
I wondered about doing that too. Glad you got it.
Gonna be epic!!
I did this and it did disable my CO sensor, but it created a problem with my starter. When I turn of the generator I hear a constant groaning noise from inside the generator without the motor running. I unhooked the battery and it stopped. Also notice that electric start button would not function now either. I disconnected the senor cut the brown and black, green and white, and then spliced those pairs together using a wire nut. What could be the cause?
So you picking up the HD after June 10. Are you planning any riding days in UK, relatives or sites? To be on the safe side maybe getting a international drivers licens. Also make sure your phone allow replacement of SIM Cards in different European countries. Sprint phones for instance does not allow you to switch. Check it out or purchase a cheap one when over here. 🏍
Checking off to dos before take off. ❤️❤️
cant wait to see yalls journey
This is going to be awesome!
My predator generator is outside. Nothing to obstruct it and the co2 sensor cuts it off all the time. I put a box fan in front of it to keep it running. That works. I hadn't thought of bypassing the sensor. Now I will.
Come back for a update you wont reconize the place from the progress. Free ride on me
Great vibe - love that you promote "go now" with what you have. So easy to get caught up in thinking you need more than you do to get out and do these trails. You guys are great!
Great to see ordinary jeep going thru some good stuff. I have gotten so tired of seen "tons" and 40's with LS engine swaps - makes it seem like you need exotic to be legit. This was great! Keep getting out there!
Thanks! It’s been tough being in the South East for the last few months. Just not a lot of tough trails in Florida and Georgia with out deep mud. Also the motor in our bus needed work and both Jeeps needed attention. So even though we haven’t been trail riding we’ve been busy.
Travis your Jeep is clean🤣🤣🤣🤣
Same mine had issue straight out the box. Even running outside my Van it kept shutting off. We don’t need security for safety!!! Bastards
I want to swap my u joints to cv. It's mostly on road and only has 31s. But I can't find for sure the application I should be looking for to get the right CV axles
Their customer service is terrible. But I like my 4way system.
I got a square body I’m gonna be running there
This is so wild I been there last few years in a row and I didn't see us lol come out tomorrow or Sunday we having a big mud bogg
