Loved this robert.i was worki g at the london palladium many years ago.tommy steele was the star of "singin in the rain".he was known as a perfectionist born entertainer.hede do a song and dance at the drop of a hat and still going today.im sure he'd approve loved it.

John Prine wrote this song from a woman's perspective, stuck in a less than ideal relationship. He had no qualms about singing it himself, and I admire him for that. Many old folk songs were written from a female perspective and sung by men. I sing a few such songs myself.

My wife and I have visited Iceland on one occasion - mainly in Reykjavik, but we also went to the Blue Lagoon, and bathed in the thermal waters. It was weird walking out in the snow to get to the warm water! Jonathan (our youngest son) lived and worked there for 6 months, until his visa ran out, but our elder son, Neil, lived there for 2 years. His partner at the time was Icelandic. Yes, it is a wonderful place. I couldn't believe how clear and bright the light was! I'd love to go back, but probably never will. Glad to have been though. 🙂
