You are probably right, Hal. CCR's hits have been widely covered over the years. John Fogerty kept coming up with catchy riffs and memorable tunes which were usually easy to play, but they were great songs! I still love CCR! Thanks for the comment! Much appreciated!
Heh, never cleaned any plates in Memphis; but I did live in New Orleans for a while during the late 70s and scraped a daunting amount of shellfish parts from gumbo burned onto the inner walls of an enormous industrial-strength cauldron in the downtown high-rise Marriott hotel's banquet kitchen there. Also: saw all the sternwheelers on the mighty rollin'-rollin' river! Thanks for the memories, Robert!
I enjoyed this. It takes me back to the year 1972 when I dropped out of college. I always thought this verse in Lodi was one of the best ever If I only had a dollar For every song I sung Every time I've had to play While people sat there drunk You know I'd catch the next train Back to where I live Oh Lord, stuck in Lodi again Anyway, thanks.
Hallo Robert, this is another lovely song and a super rendition by you my dear friend ... very much enjoyed ! 👍👍 BIG like I wish you peace & health ... Fons.
Yes, I still love CCR's music. John always had the ability to write a simply structured song and turn it into something great! A rare talent! Glad you like this! Thanks for the comment!
John Fogerty was the driving force in the band Creedence Clearwater Revival. I'm not saying that the other three members were without musical talent, but John was the only member of the band to possess outstanding talent. He was the lead guitarist, lead singer and main songwriter. Indeed, all of the band's biggest hits were written and arranged by John, including this one.
Your cool voice combined with that beautiful sounding Martin guitar are a great match up! I enjoyed your whole rendition of this very classic song. 🙂👍✌☮🎸🎹🥁🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
Thank you for the comment! I have been doing music videos for at least 10 years, but I began playing guitar a lifetime ago! I was 14 when I first picked up a guitar. I'm glad you like this home video!
