I wonder if being Navy hinders as well as helps sometimes. For instance, I think a civilian would have retasked the U.S.S. Dale from refit transit to the mission group. That wouldn't occur to someone thinking "refit is a serious evolution, so the Dale's unavailable." Being retired myself, I tend to get worked up and overcomplicate things... but isn't that the fun of it? Having grown up playing with sticks because there were no computers, I have an overactive imagination.

If you press ‘x’ to cancel orders and then order the ship to rejoin formation that should get the ships back into formation.

You do know you can attach circles to specific units? If you draw the circle starting at the unit it follows it on the tactical map.

Fun scenario, I like the writing and the attempted use of additional assets like the P3 within a relatively limited sized battle between two SAGs. That Slava fought an *amazing* defence game, talk about fireworks! But grrrr, AI is still so… dumb when it comes to time on target missiles, particularly from multiple units. It kind of ruins the game for me in places, the bizarre fire control decisions made.

The Anti Ship missiles you were trying to use are radar following and if you shoot at a surface target are limited by the curvature of the earth and the height of the mast. So 9-10 miles would be expected.... for air targets 40 miles as listed is fine.

This is a fun and entertaining scenario, but I have two questions: 1. Why is capital ships and SSNs in the Baltics, they are not made for this kind of estuary brown water. 2. Where is the Swedish Navy and Airforce? They were a force to be reckoned with at the peak of the Cold War.

We stored about 500 rounds in the mag for the 76 on RMD. The gun only held 80 in the “mag” so idk where the over 4000 76mm number they have came from lol😂

Glad you are covering the Type 2400, which is our only sub here in the great north. For its designed timeframe, it actually is a very good sub, on par with other late 80s early 90s designs, but its lack of maintenance and fumbling of logistics in Canada has ruined its reputation. On paper, it is a capable and advanced sub, but in reality we are lucky to get one in the water. There ARE plans to replace them, with MOUs being signed and RFIs being sent out, and a pledge for 12 new subs from the govt, but our procurement is so broken and takes FOREVER we will be lucky to get 2 new subs by 2040. If we dont take the Koreans up on their fire sale offer with free winter tires and extended warranty they are offering for their OTS KSS III, we would be colossal idiots.

@Jive, you can click a ship when your doing a range ring and it will stay attached to stay with that ship until it sinks.

I still think the damage modeling still needs a massive overhaul.

I've always enjoyed the livestreams since the Cold waters daily streams way back when, I am also really enjoying this style of vod.

Most don't know the right pace for scenarios of this genre. There's a time and place for the player to be forced to deal with defensive engagement that is at a great disadvantage but most do it wrong.

I would like some kind of accumulative score that is effected by the outcome of every mission you undertake with penalties for asset losses and HEAVY penalties for attacking neutrals(shooting down passenger aircraft for instance). the score should be resettable if you go into the options (for newbs who made mistakes and want to re-start and try to maintain as close too 100% as possible) think of it as adding some tangible way to put a pressure on the player to make sure they dont just go full "Call of Duty" on everything. One other thing that might be nice is a way to set "Missons" to your units a little like the Command game series.

I don't like that the map doesn't show cities or bases. It's weird.

I presume the first scenario was created by FinnishJaeger, not Jaguar ;) Jaeger comes from the german word Jäger, meaning a hunter. It is also a common historical name for a rifleman in The Finnish Army. Used as a rank by several units to describe a private (NATO OR-1/OR-2) with some higher rank exceptions that use "-jääkäri" as a part of the rank (again, historical use)

EA6Bs can also carry shrikes. Also, why not bring more Harriers into the A2A fight? For taking out the AAA, A-7s can carry Walleye standoff glide bombs and the A-6 has LGB, both of which can be dropped outside AAA engagement zone and are accurate precision strike weapons.
