Catching Redfish and Bass in Backwater Springs! Fishing Crystal River, Florida
Went on the hunt for Snook way back in the springs in this video. We have been catching a lot of Red's in the creeks this winter time so wanted to switch it up and find Snook. I still couldn't get away from the Redfish! All my fish were caught on paddle tails today. I wanted to throw bigger baits, but had to go back to 2.8 and 3 inch baits to get fish in the boat. The snook didn't want to play but I still had a blast catching redfish and snook back in residential canals. I love to do this at least once very winter season because it's a switch up from all the creek fishing I do. Hope you all enjoyed! Like the video if you did and please make sure to subscribe if you are not already!

Fishing for Redfish and Trout in the Winter! One Bait Caught Fish All Day!

This is my first video of the wintertime for you all! We tore up Redfish and Trout on this trip. The ticket for my fish today was a 3 inch Minnowz from Zman in the Blue Crab color. Andy caught fish on split tail finessers, omen ultra paddler, and even topwater. The water temp was in the 60's all day. We had to fish slower in the morning, but as the day went on the fish got more and more aggress...

Throwing Confidence Baits to Catch Fish! Tip to Catch Inshore Saltwater Fish on Tough Days!

Went out on a Solo mission to try and get on some big fish. We recently had a cold front come through and knock the water temps down almost 10 degrees. The fish will definitely be in their transition period and feeding! When fish are moving around it can be tough to key in on a pattern because you need to cover a ton of water to find them. When faced with tough conditions and a tough bite, thro...

The weather has been starting to cool down a little bit, but it is still really hot out there so we set out with the hope of running into some big Snook and Reds coming back in from offshore spawning. It was tough fishing with a really low tide in the morning and a high east wind so we had to push out to the flats to try and get on some trout, but we ended up having fun with Jacks and Bluefish ...

      I usually will use a 1/4 oz diesel chatterbait from Zman paired with a 4 inch diesel minnow. I prefer the gold blade but the silver blade works well too!

    I'm headed there in April to fish a little tourney in my Avid 21 FS Mag. Any areas i need to avoid running? I'm timid about it and don't want to run aground. I am from North GA and have never been there.

    • @Captainjoshmartin
      @Captainjoshmartin 9 месяцев назад

      I don’t run my boat too much in Steinhatchee, this video was shot on my buddies boat. But from my experience, when you’re roughly 700-1000 yards from shore you can usually run safely. As you start making your way towards the shore, it gets a lot shallower and you’ll find random rocks throughout the flat. Your best bet is to ride out until the end of the channel and then head north and south, then slowly make your way towards the shoreline

      @@nateoutdoors7061 Everything does look good, biggest advice I can give you is focus on areas that are close to deeper water. Tons of islands but not all of them are next to deeper holes and troughs. I have caught fish going 10 miles north and I’ve caught fish on islands right next to the ramp but of course the further you get away from where everyone else is fishing, the fish feel less pressure and are more willing to bite.

      Both! When I’m going through a new area I’ll mark deep holes on my depthfinder to come back and fish. During low tide I like to look around and see which areas will have the most current flow and hit those holes when it’s really low.
