Qhat year is your prelude? Im about to drop the f20b in my 88 lude and im having issues finding the proper hubs. I knowi need axles from a 93 accord but im not sure about the hubs. I would greatly appreciate your help

A true supercompressor can have non-screwdown crowns. The Christopher Ward upper one is like that and it is a true SC.

I know this is 3.5 years late but a couple points - apparently that Car Throttle channel's project was scrapped because the shop they were working with to perform the swap was caught in a legal issue selling fake parts (from comments on the last video they put up about the project), nothing to do with the swap being particularly challenging. There's a newer video of someone dynoing a 3rd gen Prelude with a K20A turbo swap and it appears that the person had to cut the hood and weld on a 'bump' above the part where the factory hood slopes down in the center in order for the motor to clear. He mentioned that they were able to use OEM RSX axles with no modification. The only 2 outstanding issues are really custom mounts and hood modification. You hit the nail on the head at the end though - with 3rd gen Preludes the issue has always been cost. Civics and Integras were so much more popular and common that you see more people who were willing/able to plunk down 5 figures of cash to upgrade them. There are a handful of 88-91 Prelude owners who have done that as well but even if the percent of owners who could and were willing to spend were equal between Prelude and Civic/integra, numerically the amount is just going to be much smaller - plus that people who are willing to go ham on mods may tend to prefer a platform that has more aftermarket support in the first place. All those factors end up with what history has shown us - 3rd gen Prelude modding support has just never been remotely as good as Civic/Integra, there are fewer of them around and both of these factors meant that aftermarket support was just never as strong which perpetuated both in a downward spiral. K20 swaps have been done, you will need to figure out the mounts situation and hood/ground clearance but beyond that it's not really any more difficult than a swap into an old Civic/Integra. The problem is ultimately that most Prelude owners either don't have or don't want to spend the extra money necessary since really doing almost anything to a 3g Prelude requires custom work at this point.

You said that the innavative mounts dont line up and to get 1funryds but im pretty sure he stopped selling the mounts is there a way to make the innavative mounts work? or are they other options ?Those are the only ones ive come across im putting a h22a1 in my 89 s

I have a Tag F1 quartz that I use as my beater - have had it for years. Tag just doesn't have an identity and has become an after thought for buyers. There are so many really good brands in this price range that are excellent watches. When enthusiasts are discussing brands, I will never hear Tag Heuer, but I will always hear Longines, Tissot, Hamilton etc... They just don't seem to be relevant in todays market place.

The bezel is useful as a countdown or count up .. I use mine all the time.

I'm an enthusiast and I love Tag Heuer for its history, design and quality. I know what movement is in my Formula 1 and I love it (yes, it'a a quartz, but it's cheap and accurate, which is a plus in a chrono). Yes, they are overpriced and their value plummets, but who cares? I like watches because I like watches, not because I want to earn money buying and selling them.

This video is an example of my issue with watch snobs. In the "inflated MSRP values" chapter, the creator states that he does not believe TAG Heuer watches are a good value for the price paid - but then provides no basis for believing that. Third-party movement? Almost every high-end Swiss watch brand uses at least some 3rd-party movements. Build quality? I own a TAG Heuer Aquaracer 300 and I think the build quality is on par with other similarly-priced brands. If you're going to accuse a brand of producing a poor-value product, you should also offer some evidence to support your accusation.

Its down to personal taste. I have a carrera three hand date. The reason i bought it was because of its simplicity....a beautiful stunning watch. Exactly what i wanted in a watch. I looked at omegas and breitlings plus others before buying it but they just seemed a bit 'busy'. Too much going on .. if you get what i mean. Although my next watch is going to be an omega. Im really really happy with my tag tbh. Enjoyed watching your review...keep them coming.

All the surgeons and anesthesiologists I work with all wear Tags so that right there says enough. Then my wife bought me my first tag few years back after I finished PA school as a gift, a Formula 1 Red Bull. Later on i got a Carrera Calibre 16. Love them both.

Definitely worth it . Are there better options? Of course , are they a Seiko SKX? No and there’s nothing that compares to the SKX. I own an SKX009 as well and one of my absolute favorites. Awesome review and watch 👍🏻😎💪🏻💯

The last several years they have added an amazing team that has elevated Tag Heuer movements and styles. Don’t sleep on them. I own two. Solid watches and love them. Also love my Rolex’s and omegas just as much.

Once You are catch liying and triying to pass a Seiko movement for an inhouse movement You are done.

As long as the watch still work after you meet your Maker, it is considered a quality timepiece. A true watch enthusiast do not treat a watch as a commodity.

Still love my 2007 Chronograph Aquaracer, bought new, been serviced a few times, holds perfect time. It’s a big block of steel on my wrist, the newer models are lot lighter. Black dial , 300 meter, automatic calibre 5 movement.

I daily drove my prelude from 2002. For a while I had other preludes. Then in 2008 I got a motorcycle. It wasn't until about 2014 that I got a proper non-prelude second car, a 99 wrangler. Should you daily drive a 3rd generation prelude in 2023? Probably not. Do I regret putting 300,000 miles on my car, growing up with it and making a lifetime of memories in it? Definitely not. The time I had with my car was so special, that now today it's more about honoring those memories. When I drive it, I drive it when I'm doing something special, like seeing my friends every week to watch Star Trek. I can, and do drive it "daily" in a pinch but I'd much rather enjoy the experience and revel in the nostalgia of my younger days.

My wife gave me a Tag Heuer Formula 1 Calibre 16 on my 50th bday. Regardless the hate, I love it!
