Derek I enjoy your videos. It seems a lot of us good faithful hunters have experienced this bull crap of people stealing our stuff and deleting our SD Cards!! Locked up or not locked. I had a Sd card stolen, camera left behind. I took another camera and tried to put it up high nestled in a tree. They found that one deleted that card and returned the other card😂. Ding dongs!! I sure would like to hunt and see who these thief’s are because I’m almost sure I can not not do anything about it 😂🤷‍♂️

Im very excited for this season. First bow hunt this year. I've watched a lot of your videos, and I've learned a lot. This will be my second season hunting but my first true deer hunt. Ive got a pretty big one on camera. I'm not as hardcore as you yet, but it's really wet back where I went, and it gets about calf deep. Definitely not swimming! I'm green, but it made sense to me from the start to use a map/GPS app. Last season I just got familiar with some areas and the brochures. Did my first spring turkey hunt this year and learned alot. This will be my first deer hunt and I'm hopeful. I will say I came out with my bag stuffed with old trail tape from years before. It's littering in my opinion...

I hunt off intuition , not intel and camera data... after 30+ years you have a good feeling and then you have the sixth sense and that is your intuition and intuitive conscience speaking to u ...Every deer on my wall I only seen once and that was the day he found his final resting place and now i look at everyday and only pics I have of any deer on my wall is after the harvest ! I hunt big buck sighn and I live for that first encounter and the unknown of the actual caliber of a buck until u first lay eyes on him in real life ... nothing like it ! I can't see having pics of a deer all year and then killing him cause he was showing up infront of cell cam !

My freinds son just had four cameras stolen. It takes an absolute dirtbag to steal another mans cameras/stands or anything else for that matter. I told him the same thing you said, get farther from the roads and hide them as best as you can. Behind the check station or by the main gate has paid off a few times for me. I usually get dropped off so my truck isn't there.

Derek great video as always! I'm starting to ground hunt more now because of clear cuts. We have a lot of cypress swaps. I concur with natural elements in my hunting clothes bag. I do same thing. But I do buck spray on occasion. What do you use for buck spray? I'm using vanilla extract mixed with water. I do have Nose jammer not sure if I like that yet.

My buddies and all that I hunt with ( florida wma's ) we started to set a camera then a camera watching that camera. Alot more cameras...but 9 out of 10 they don't see the second cam. Good luck hunting!

I understand how you feel, I had all my hunting guns stolen in 2010. Made me so mad. I don't understand some people, teenagers maybe, but not grown men.

Yeah I'll just put it out there to. I get my cameras checked by other dog groups in Ocala. So I have to move them every weekend. I've put a camera on a camera just to catch the low life and they still try to deny it 😂. Already had couple stolen this year up there. Can't stand a thief

I normally use metal security boxes & and Python cables when running cams on public or else use cheap 40.00 cams.

I remember my uncle taking us out in the hunting club we saw some big bucks that night

1/2 my life has been an avid fisherman and 10% of the fishermen catch 90% of the fish. Fishing is basically all public. I'm a 1 year hunter this up coming season and according to scouting/cameras. I'm figuring it out. I do not mind the challenge of public land if anything I enjoy it. My son is along for the journey and we are learning together, this means more to me than anything!

I think the black camo is popular for inside blinds so it matches the inside of the blind. I dont know why people would wear it out in the open.
