That flight round the church really showed up good in 3D.

I wonder, that 3X speed section. Was it for my benefit? If so, I will say it didn't make much difference to the effect. The 3D is certainly good on the cruises.

Hi Steve You'd expect more smudge than sludge. What would show diesel bug? I would think that the black stuff is dead diesel bug. How much did it cost? I don't think the trees were poplars (not populars) as the cuttings looked like conifers. Also the drying device is a mangle, not a mangler. Jeff

Another great vlog! I feel so sad when I see so many trees being cut down. I know sometimes they have to be removed because of disease or being a safety hazard. Hi Steve, just watching this one in January 2025 as it covers the stretch near Dunham Massey where the major breach occurred on 1st January near the Bollin Aqueduct, so it's interesting to see it in happier and healthier times, just after 8 mins into the video where the narrow section started before you crossed the Bollin Aqueduct, where the geese and goslings were. The water stop at 7 mins is where Josh and his parents of "Taylors on a Narrowboat" channel fame were moored near where the dramatic events unfolded (check their vlog!), and they've been stranded there all month waiting for temporary repairs to be completed in order to allow them to refloat and continue towards Lymm, so again it's interesting to look back at when you folks were there to provide some perspective!

Blakemere is stunning in any weather but a bit of sunshine does pop the colours, I too have to stop when I see the sun shining through a beech tree! Lol! Blakemere is my favourite stretch of any canal to date, my Dad used to go fishing there back in the 60/70's. 🙂
