Another awesome vlog! That’s a lot of fur that came off of Smudge. Dodger does the same thing at the park. After he does what he needs to do, he will find a nice spot and relax and survey the area. But smudge did well on the agility course. 😊
Love the drone footage…when I watched it, I can feel the stress melt away.
Thanks for sharing your adventures with us. Sure do look forward to your weekly vlogs…

Oh wow thank you Brigid! I admit I'm always nervous flying the drone but like you love the scentery it reveals

Yes we were really lucky there. Smudge scared the hell out of us then. Thank god he is OK. He’s on his lead from now on at locks

Poor Smudge falling in! I hadn't realised how potentially serious it could have been until you explained. Glad the lock was as full as it was.

Hi Catherine, it wasn't until I reviewed the footage later that I realised just how lucky we had been. Chris is keeping him on his lead for now.

Fantastic David Attenborough impersonation there Steve 😂😂 Watching Smudge fall in again was just as scary as watching in real-time and I never thought about the lock depth - thank goodness Chris was right there! ❤️🥰

The bottle thing just came to me there and then it seemed perfect to do an attenborough impression :-)
I agree about Smudge I shudder to think what could have happened had the lock been lower.

Lots of good content Steve. Enjoyed the narratives, description of Wilkinson mural, and drone operations. Must have been fun and a 'not to often' opportunity for AmyJo and The Boat to run side by side. Two sailors doing what they do best.

Hi Frank yes it was fun and you're right we don't get to go side by side often usually its when we're passing through double locks

    Steve
Where's this Lancashire Canal? I want to cruise it. Is it near the Lancaster Canal? Also this place, Tartleton sounds nice.
The weed you called duckweed is probably azolla which is an aquatic fern. They are easily confused.
The answer to your question about towpath management can be answered with one word - money.
Alfred Wilson was, in fact, Alfred Wilkinson.

Its in Lancashire of course 😂. Did I not pronounce Tartleton correctly? The weed looked like duck weed to me but you could be right

@@LifeonboardAmyJo It only has 2 ts. Tarleton.

As I'm watching along, just want to correct you on your correction, sorry Steve! It's the Lancaster Canal north of the Ribble, not the Lancashire Canal. Anyway, enjoying the episode so far! 😊
