A very demure strawberry jalapeño focaccia
This end of summer no kneed focaccia is soooo demure ☺️ sweet and salty with a bit of a kick.
Sometimes you mess up on an ingredient and it works in your benefit, so was the case in this focaccia I accidentally used 2 tbs. Of yeast instead of 2 tsp. And I believe this is exactly what this focaccia needed especially since I was substituting a sauce for part of the liquid, an experiment that turned out to be fantastic. I hope you get to try it
Ingredients:
250g/4 cups flour
1 cup lukewarm water
2 tbs. Yeast
1 tbs. Honey
1 cup homemade strawberry sauce (refer to the reel before)
4 tbs. Olive + extra for the pan
Topping:
Sliced strawberries
Sliced jalapeño
Turbinado sugar or raw sugar
Flaky salt

Let’s make a simple strawberry sauce the base for your drinks, cake, butter, frosting etc. if you dream it you can make it 🍓 2 lb. Strawberry washed and hulled 1 tbs. Lemon juice (fresh preferably) 1 tbs. Powder sugar After washing the strawberries cut in half add to a blender along with the lemon juice and sugar and blend until smooth. Now you can either strain it or leave it as is for texture, (I made both versions and I loved both) Place in a pot bring the sauce to a gentle bubble on medium heat before turning the heat down to low. Cook on low until thickened stirring occasionally and skimming the top about 3 times, keep a close eye and be patient it might take about 30 minutes Once cooled keep in an airtight jar in the fridge. It will keep for one month, once opened use within 2 weeks

It only takes 3 ingredients to make your own pistachio cream. No fillers, no additives and you can control the sweetness 2 cups raw pistachio 2 tbs. heaping powder sugar 3 tbs. Avocado oil 1 - 2 dots of green gel color (optional) Roast the pistachio for 30 seconds shaking frequently. Let cool before placing in a food processor, process and stop a few times to push the pistachio from the sides to the center once it starts forming add the sugar and keep processing, once the sugar disappears start adding the oil gradually it will come together and form a paste at this point the color will be grayish green if you prefer a brighter green color simply add a dot of green gel color and process or you can leave it as is. Store in an air tight container in the fridge and use it for any dessert that require pistachio or use it as spread on your toast

Thank you for watching. I did actually wet the edges with water and squeezed tightly. Ingredients: 1/2 cup unsalted butter 3/4 cup light brown sugar 4 medium sized bananas 1 cup all purpose flour 1/2 cup granulated sugar 2 tsp baking powder 1 large egg 3/4 cup butter milk 1 tsp vanilla extract Obviously I doubled the measurements because we love this cake so much and I had enough bananas 1- preheat oven to 350 F 2- I prefer a cast iron skillet for this recipe but you can absolutely use a 9 inch cake pan, melt the butter, sprinkle the brown sugar and do not stir, just try to distribute evenly 3- save the ripest banana and mash it to use it in the batter, as for the rest peel, cut in half and then in quarters and arrange at the bottom of the pan 4-in a bowl combine the flour, baking powder and sugar and set aside 5- in a separate bowl whisk the eggs with the butter milk and vanilla, then add the mashed banana. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix well. Don’t over mix! 6- pour the batter over the bananas carefully. And bake in the oven on the bottom shelf for 30-40 minutes or until the top is golden 7- allow to cool slightly about 5 minutes before you invert on a platter 8- best to eat with 2-3 days
