PROTECTOR - The Early Years (1986 - 1993)
Hi Jurgen!!! that was a pretty good response to Thomas challenge... he's idea was also a great one and it helps you to know a little more your collection, but i guess that's a "problem" for guy who have a pretty big discraphy...... Anyhow always noce to see some of your lesser known/obscure bands or releases like Znowhite or Consecrator and need to get Helstar in my collection too. cheers and be well
Yes, great idea by Thomas. In the last two years I sold more than half of my collection and that helped to know everything a little better.
I remember that Consecrator album coming out on that reissue. Quite a few people who nolonger make videos bought it. 250 records shifted! That's insane. Not heard of that magazine.
I played the Consecrator yesterday and it´s actually really good, more of a Death / Thrash thing. On Monday I brought everything that was standing around to my vinyl guy, we´ll sort out some trades when he worked his way through the pile.
You always have to show some extra😂. Nice ones. HELSTAR and CULPRIT classics.
Hahaha, yes! Extras are always cool, hehe... I love the first four Helstar records, all classics!
Hell yes, Sadistic Intent fucking RULES!! Thank you for sharing, Jurgen. Like you mentioned, Sadistic Intent are from the same neighborhood of Slayer, and these guys are one of the very first Death Metal bands in the Los Angeles area starting back in the 80's. These guys are originals, the real deal, not some "Johny Come Lately". This is TRUE Death Metal Darkness, NOT for the poseurs!!! That's what I like about this band, it's kind of like a band only the real Metalheads support, not a TREND band at all! Eternal support to the glory of Sadistic Intent!!
I always buy new lps with so many lps i dont go back 2 my old records nice 1 Albert.
I did that for ages, hahaha... Now that I have sold more than half of the collection it´s getting better!
@@albertampel4175 👍👍
That Helstar is great, I have several of there albums but don't listen to them as much. My make a response soon.
Helstar are great, very underrated. I love the more traditional first two and the thrashier 3rd and 4th. They did a rerecorded best of with some new songs for the reunion that is fantastic as well. I´d love to see a response!
Great response Jürgen. Always buy to much stuff, haha. But yeah, I have a couple of albums in my collection I don't remember shit about. Cheers. 🤘🤘
This is the best requirement to do a response video, dig those "unknown" albums out and show them. Thank you for watching!
I bet you were not wearing that Cutty Sark shirt today, that is a personal attack! And if that was a huge coincidence, that outro was personal for sure, hahaha! Hope your kebab was good, what a quick response. Picking albums myself for this video, I swear I had that Znowhite album in my hands!
Errrrr.... no, I wasn´t wearing that shirt today but my other one was so sweaty I had to chenge it anyway, hahaha... I could have done the response quicker but I had to charge my phone first. I know Znowhite´s "Act of God" inside out but I rarely play the other two. Thank you for the challenge!
Love that Znowhite EP. Blind buy in '85 (maybe '86).
I bought "Act of God" when it came out but I never seem to pull the old records from the shelves. That must change!
That was how it was done in those 2 years - distribution developed undeniably then! I guess I built a 12-yr long regional radio metal show, almost based on that feeling. ''Act of God'' was also in that number...
Hi Jurgen!!! Yeah, i think the "sick little monkey" is going to be really happy for a long while lol...... congrats on getting all those awesome OG's recording and nice to hear Angel Dust on the background too, a band i really need to add to the collection. Had no idea about that double disc "Killing....." why?? if the record is that short. cheers and be well
23mins of OG vinyl… what more do you need… & getting to see a list of them that only you can see is even better, lol. Good to see you mate… I hope you’re well🤘🏻
Very nice haul there mister. At least I still have my OG Time Does Not Heal vinyl. Fantastic album. Do have several of these, but they are reissues. Cheers. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Top tier shit my friend! On fire with the OG game! Some of these are on my list as well, perhaps I have an interest in some of those! Maybe the Megadeth and Metallica ones.
Nice OG'S Even though it's not as exciting as vinyl I do have the OG Cds of Warmaster and Time does Not Heal and the combat Killing is My Business with the uncensored These Boots song. Again not as cool as your vinyl but happy with the OG CDS!
Now that's how you trade 😂 Fantastic you managed to trade so many OG's for stuff where it didn't cost you a ton of money too. Nice haul 🤘
Wow, incredible stuff Jurgen The ogs look so much better Great Haul
Some amazing LPs you showed, been drooling for 20 mins in front of my screen. About "Killing is my Business", I had to check but my version (French 1st press) is different, w/ pink & silver logo, but on Bernett record with red labels. It's my original copy that I purchased at the time of its release, that's also the one they show on Discogs. Cheers.
Just want to confirm that you can in fact buy the new Iron Pegasus re-release of Resurrection from the band directly--from their shop in LA. I was able to get this on black vinyl, but they also have it on picture disc too
Aorta sound like they were much earlier than '83. It took me years to accept having a re-issue instead of an OG and I can't go through that pain again going back lol. I totally get what you mean though, you may not know the history of an OG (who owned it or where they bought it, etc ) but it has a history you can touch. Re-issues may sound good but they are soulless. MFN27 is getting a spin tonight! Do you try to fix seam splits or do you leave them?
Great trades for some top tier OGs especially Angel Dust, Dark Angel, Megadeth, Metallica, Necronomicon and Sadus 🤘🤘all killer albums. I think it’s time I do an update also soon.
Great video, looking for rtl on under one flag, because mine is played to pieces.....😂
Nice batch of OGs there. Do you go strictly OG or just early. Myself I am fine with just old. I have a 1989 Vertigo press of Ride the Lightning. I'd prefer a Music For Nations but I don't mind.
You should know I´m a snob, hehehe... No not really stricktly OG, early is good but what I like most about early pressings... when they are as I once had them. My Slayer "Show no Mercy" is from ´87 or ´88, good for me. The best situation for a "snob" like me is to have a record that has only on pressing and I own it, hahaha...
Nice trades Jurgen. Those originals are always special. Good you got some back. Have a nice weekend. Will see NOCTURNAL tomorrow live. Take careee
First, "Some Kind Of Collection- MONSTER!) St. Anger will be spun tonight, I sorta like that album for some strange reason... Angel Dust is a band I need to add to my collection next time I order stuff, I used to have their first 3 records back in the day. Angel Witch! bunch of Angels you have added to your collection haha. The FDR records only sound good on 2 stereos I have found. I run my record player through 2 stereo systems and the Earache FDR reissues sound killer that way.
Great response mate, who knew you were so big on Flamenco rock!! 🤘
Great response on the tag, cool to see that Trouble is waiting for the bus :) Cheers
I also look forward to the new Sacrifice!
Enjoyed this one Jurgen .looking forward to seeing you show your flamenco rock collection now.
Salute HR for incredible quality releases!! Have over 30 myself all exceptional quality!!
