Hi Jurgen!!! Cool idea for a video an great tribute to Paul's career.... you have a killer demo cassette collection, some of those must be awesome "treasures" for any metal fan, he really was a character and your story with him is fun too. cheers and be well
Great tribute to Paul Baloff Jurgen! Really cool to hear and learn about some of the early Exodus demos, I've never heard them before! Bonded by blood is my favourite Exodus album, but also one of my favourite Thrash albums and debut albums! Just a classic. I didn't know he joined Heathen for a little bit too, really cool! Shame he passed when he did, he might have stayed with them throughout the 2000's 🤘🏻🤘🏻
From a technical standpoint he was the worst vocalist one can imagine but he was so unique. Yes, I collect everything Baloff did for decades, hehehe...
@albertampel4175 Yeah I'd agree with that, he definitely had his own style. I like his vocals honestly, they're raw and fit the music very well. Nice that's awesome, nice one! 😁🤘🏻
Thanks for this little history lesson jurgen I didn't even realise they reformed with Paul in the mid 90s always assumed they split after force of habit and didn't come back until tempo of the damned also what's the beer called your drinking in the video?
Yeah, the short reunion... the band was f**ked up on drugs and did not go anywhere unfortunately. The cheapest German beer you can get, it´s called "5.0". I´m a beer lover but sometimes I need some cheap crap. Probably my Punk roots, hahaha...
Cool video and story time. I didn't know he was on a Heathen demo. He had a crazed vocal style but I don't mind it. Its a funny one for me because I'm the same with Sean Killian. Those debut tracks are great on Bonded and Eternal Nightmare but I think im good after that. I don't want to hear them after those albums. Lightning in a bottle type of deal for me. God knows i tried with that third Vio-lence a hundred times 😂
Thank you Mi... I mean Sixzero, hahaha... His vocals on that Heathen demo are his best performance imo. Just sick! As you might know I always go a step further, I love "Oppressing..." by Vio-Lence! But, tbh., I have never ever heard a single note of their 3rd album... "Lightning in a bottle" describes it pretty good but I seem to like stuff where "lightning missed the bottle by an inch" as well, hahaha....
Cracked open a beer with you. Exodus is awesome, especially the Bonded By Blood album. Wish we had more with him but, maybe that is all we needed? Classic and great video as always because you show stuff here I did not even know exited.
I´m on my 4th beer now, hahaha... BbB is a classic, no doubt! I´m collecting everything Paul Baloff and I guess I´m not done yet. I just found a Piranha gig here on YT from 1990. His best performance imo is on the Heathen demo, just soooo f**kin´ sick!
@@albertampel4175 I'm had a few and blasting Necronomicon loudly. Your poster on the wall behind you was secretly saying "spin me" great suggestion as that Necronomicon is the greatest thrash from Germany IMO.
Great videos! Love all the stories. Hey, maybe you could do shows titled. "Storytime mit Jurgen" 🤘
Thank you! With my videos it´s always "Storytime" or "Show off", hahahaha....

Paul was always out of tune and his timing sucked but he´s one of my fave vocalists ever. So unique!

Paul was one of a kind! That first Exodus album is still one of the best Thrash albums ever made!! Cool video Jurgen!👍🤘
Watch old live footage, his timing really sucked, hahaha... I love it! One of the most unique vocalists ever.

Oh, and don´t forget: "Use a rusty knife...!!!" Hahahaha...
I also have a Roadrunner cover and a Music for Nations vinyl version. But no inlay. I got this when it came out and it had nothing extra.
