Should UX Designers do UI?
Просмотров 1,8 тыс.12 часов назад
In this video, I debunk a common misconception that UX designers don't do UI design. I use an analogy of a politician creating a plan to provide meals to schoolchildren. Hi Anudeep sir, great vid, as always. I am a final-year undergrad looking for an internship in product design. I have a portfolio in place and have applied to and interviewed for multiple good product-based companies. The thing is, I get past a couple of rounds just to be rejected in the final one. I am trying to learn new things, thinking about improving my case studies (but the feedback is non-existent from people who've interviewed me). What do you think should I do better?

Anudeep, thanks for making these videos.. they answer questions I always had, but afraid to ask or didn’t know whom to ask.. Can you also make a video on how to pick the right role and judge if openings are right for us? A lot of openings on linkedin for ux role ask for graphic design knowledge, coding knowledge etc. since there are very few openings, we end up applying to them.. can we also apply for openings for senior positions or who ask for experience .. what is the solution to this?

This reminded me of an experience at Burma Burma in Hyderabad that impressed me with its thoughtful service. Despite the frequent crowds and waiting times, they provide a menu on a stand outside the restaurant. This allows waiting customers to check their options in advance, saving time for both diners and the restaurant.

That’s a very good point to learn about UX! We can learn about how understanding the entire journey of the customer, not just within your core offering, but also how they get into that. On top of it, the menu outside, saves time for customers to decide ahead what they want to order (reminds me of flexibility and efficiency of use heuristic, on identifying opportunities to make the experience efficient) Thank you for the thoughtful comment!

dudeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee thanksss!! I really liked the video. You know I have been searching for the answer to this doubt for so long. what doubt I''ll tell you shortly. but let me tell you how and why I have this doubt, it is because I am new to UX Designing, I completed my google certfication in UX and looking for a job. Changing my career. from full stack development to UX, and I have been trying to create case studies for my portfolio. While working on them and looking for topic of what problem do I resolve or how to actually resolve........and a gazillion other doubt, one constant big doubt I have was this only; how do somebody who's proficient in this field approach a design prpblem? how do you decide? which solution to go after, what to desing, or for example you decide to redesign an existing app, how do you decide how to redesign it... so the question is more about the "approach" like how do you approach it... and I asked chatgpt about it... I asked the same questiion to study groups, I did get answers but not as explonatory as you... so you helped me one step further.... I also learned from my struggles...(struggles while building case studies) but your outlook helped me further, so yea! Helpful video, thanks a bunch!
