its grindy but you can honestly pass this gamne at lvl 32 and the fact that no one , no single enemies will ever use items, kid of breaks the game, as long as you have a full party hp recovery's saved you can finish any boss..and most enemies will use their prev evolution attacks rather than their current. it was honestly a cake walk, Digimon world 2 Alternative is by far better.

When I was a kid I had to go do something and I left the game running, when I came back my digimon had evolved to an Angemon, 10 seconds later it digivolved" into a Devilmon, still don't know what I did right/wrong

When I got this game i had a guide book along with it on how to digivolve every digimon. I'm pretty sure it was wrong though :D I never managed to get HerculesKabuterimon, as my champion level digimon always died before I could fulfill the requirements. Also the guide said that the only way to get Giromon was by digivolving Nanimon, which needed crazy stats considering you start low on every attribute. Same goes for getting Monzaemon and Etemon from Numemon and Sukamon.

I admire the heck out of the commitment to the bit, you knew all these theories were wrong all along but did the things anyway lol

I wouldn't accuse Agumon of bribing its way into the tournament lineup since it's got access to the fast fire techs that can be annoying to deal with. Maybe Agumon cheesed the Meramon with *Spit Fire* and *Fire Tower* spam while the latter kept trying to use *Prominence Beam* or other long-winded techs😅

Ngl, this video made me want to pick up my emulator and DW2. I never finished it as a kid, but speedrun strats might make the grind slightly less mind-numbing! I remember there being a very high difficulty spike in the early to mid-game and my poor dumb child brain couldn't figure out how to get over the hurdle. I'm more than ready for the challenge now~

I instantly knew what the video would be about from the title. I remember once as a kid having 8 points and being on my last throw. My stone ended up like 2/3 of the way onto the 2 point circle but the game didn’t give it to me. Never bothered to try the challenge again.
