Gotta clarify an important thing. This version of the "Shiny Digimon Glitch" isn't actually real. Playstations will not read different discs while a game is running. It was a neat thing which I showed off but I very quickly rectified that it does indeed not work with the real game. It's an emulation error. There is a completely different setup that actually does work on console. It is very hard to pull off though: ruclips.net/video/XoO3Wele77M/видео.html
I once found an emulation glitch missing here. Upon loading the game, my Numemon's... uh... goo parts and eyes... all kept their movement speed and vector of the initial animation step, causing the whole model to fly apart. Horror fuel like no other. To this day I wasn't able to replicate it, but I'm 100% sure it was due to emulation settings on an old emulator version.

Man, we need a port for this game for newer consoles. However, I know there's next order, but it would be fun to see a remaster trilogy for the 1st three games.
There is one particular glitch that traumatized me as a kid and broke my game disk forever. It was a PAL modified copy with a built-in cheat list selection before booting up the game, for more technical context. I was playing as usual, nothing out of the ordinary, on my old savefile with at least a decade of years of ingame time lapsed. I wandered around, with my digi partner, exploring, trying to find new stuff with the help of online guides, since I couldn't do much way back in time when my only source were PSX magazines, and then something odd and out of place happened. I stepped into File City, it was getting dark, and as soon as I got in, the battle intro music started playing as my digimon fled the scene and battle aggro bubbles started showing on every mon in the city. It softlocked at that point, playing that music relentlessly with every character standing there, assuming they were waiting for my mon to position itself for battle. I decided to reboot my console and found out that my save file was corrupted and no longer could access it. I was smited, back then, but as a kid with plenty of new time and new found knowledge from the Internet, I decided to start a fresh file just so I can do things properly. The intro scenes played out as usual, with me landing on the digital world and meeting Jijimon and the other in training digimon, I finished chatting with Jiji inside his house and stepped outside. Nothing wrong so far. But as soon as I checked the town plaza, every digimon in there would become aggresive and the battle music popped out once again, except this time I was able to battle. I won, and I was dumbfounded that the game was still somehow broken after starting a new game. And worst thing is that, after that, soime digis would go missing our I wouldn't be able to interact with them in any normal way. I was doomed, unable to make any progress without being able to visit the city. I abandoned the game, and couldn't find any other working copy so I could keep playing my fav childhood game... Besides Digimon Digital Card Battle, of which I'd love if you could make a video of it at some point! And now, a new question arises. Would it be possible to beat Digimon World without relying on shops or any other services from the File City residents? I think it would make a very interesting challenge.
That is wild! I don't know what kinda glitch that was, but it sounds awesome! File city turning aggressive was not something I ever considered before 😅 I wish there was a way to replicate that! As for your challenge suggestion, I think it should be pretty doable, tbh. I don't have any plans for more playthroughs of World 1 atm, but I'll look into it! :D Oh and Card Battle content soon!
@@CrystalPapa One important detail that I forgot to mention, is that my PSX eventually stopped working in the next couple of months, after playing other games, with no major breaking during my sessions like the one I've detailed extensively, but I do remember games crashing a bit often. Fun fact, when they were translating the game, they mess up the code of the OG game, how do we know this? Because the Spanish version is such a mess, that you could be stuck with a game that just couldn't progress the Ogremon story if you took it. So fans years later worked from a Japanese version of the game to retranslate it... And found that the Spanish translation was done over a translated english version and both version had mess up the code of the OG one over the other. Tanemon glitche can be helpful for upgrade your training ground. I know you're mostly joking about the "Digimon lost to Pokemon because shinies" thing, but Digimon had already lost before shinies existed (as gen 1 didn't have them). Pretty sure their biggest problem was competing against an actual video game with a tamagotchi spin-off series that didn't get a proper game until 99/2000, which was on a home console and didn't have any multiplayer connection functionality (to my knowledge), _severely_ limiting it's playground marketability while pokemon had already put out two generations of viral hits. Pokemania was in full swing before Digimon even _tried_ to compete, it had already lost when it started 🤷
As a kid I once encountered a glitch. My PS1 disc was scratched up after years of playing this game every few years. One time I tried to enter Jijimon's house. It took ages to load, about 3 minutes maybe. Once the game loaded I got in and everything looked normal. Except when I spoke to jijimon he said he was "Mr Digimon" the other NPC's had different dialogue too. One said they could evolve me into one of 3 Digimon. I guess I just got lucky to see it because I've not seen footage of this anywhere online and I've not seen people discussing it
I got the Trainer Card stuck on screen once as a child mashing buttons opening and closing but I was not able to get any advantageous glitch because of it
I was actually aware of the ff4 glitch. I think they put it in the manual saying it was some curse from the game's big bad and explained how to avoid it lmao
11:36 - slots is actually a scam - it's 1/5 or 1/6 chance to even get the ability to hit 3. You can test it in lowering FPS in emulation, where you will see that 3rd column will always skip winning tile even if using quick save / load scamming. This 'lose' or 'win' condition seems to be defined the moment you select bonus try.
i remember back then when i play monster rancher, i want to summon phoenix using cheat code. the monster name is "? ? ?" , the icon is blue instead orange . and the color is glitched like this (but it can change color if i open monster card there).
I managed to get to that Dark Native Forest from the screen where whamon shows up first from the left most side of the map where you got the ice leading to a dead end. I got out of it with an auto pilot but I don't know if this spot could lead to the ice sanctuary or not.
I am playing the Japanese version, and there is a bug that randomly reset your prosperity points to 0. In the old days, have to backup the save to another save card.

Absolutely, if you do this with a champion level Digimon!
I believe the jukebox did work in the European English version of the game.
It would be great if you can Show how you get every attack in digimon World 1 from every typ. I love all your Videos. Greats Patrick Wolf.
Hey Patrick! I am glad you're enjoying the videos!
I'll try to see what I can do about your video idea! ☺️
Nice Jade Cocoon music in the background.
Thanks for show this digimon world video and my best is metal greymon
I was actually aware of the ff4 glitch. I think they put it in the manual saying it was some curse from the game's big bad and explained how to avoid it lmao
Ahhh my favorite, Fleshgreymon
FleshSkullgreymon!!😮
I did like 20 runs, and never knew the game was this broken :o
I actually did experience the Tanemon one on my own accidentally. Pretty wild.
Another banger video!
I am glad you enjoyed it! 😊
Who else recognized the Jade Cocoon music? 👍🏻
oh, cool! i was just hungry for another video. (btw i still believe Chimeramon is in the 98th floor :P )
I love glitches 😍 especially of old videogames
I managed to get to that Dark Native Forest from the screen where whamon shows up first from the left most side of the map where you got the ice leading to a dead end. I got out of it with an auto pilot but I don't know if this spot could lead to the ice sanctuary or not.
One of my favorite glitchs thus far has to be getting stuck on the bridge between the beach and the jungle.
Can you explain that one?
I'm kinda surprised there weren't any scary ones
I dunno, loveGreymon and NoFace Player character were pretty scary to me 😅.
More Digimon World 1 video, YIPPEE
i love your video dude❤😂
Shiny SkullGreymon is just a SGreymon who got nerves.
I wouldn't wanna meet one of those, that's for sure! 😅
I am playing the Japanese version, and there is a bug that randomly reset your prosperity points to 0. In the old days, have to backup the save to another save card.
That bug still exists in all other versions of the game. Though everything released after version 1.01 fixes the bug on saving the game.
I think it would be great if you started playing Digimon World Next Order for people. Show them how good a game that is.
Hey now, that's not nice! World 1 is pretty good, too! 😅
@@CrystalPapa Oh I know! I grew up with it! But it is also good to show people Next Order since many people want to play "Digimon world 1" but it's hard to get ahold of it, so show them Next order to show them that the world continues ^^
I knew this game had some insane glitches, but wow!
badass video
Bro really sat down and shiny hunted Digimon 😂
Someone had to 🎃
you either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become a sukamon xDDD
That love Graymon should be an office specie . But call it glitchdramon and the slenderman one should be Crashdramon
Thanks for this.
you forgot a glitch where if we use an autopilot(obtained legitimately through centarumon area) before going to the bridge area, the bridge will be forever locked off
The developers thought of that. If this happens, you can go to Coelamon again and they will have new dialogue and help you across again and again.
@@Geta92 my bad xD I never thought of returning to coelamon, just reloaded a save
Theweirdest glitch I've got was one where the ladt Drimige took like2 years (in game) to open the tunnel and joyn the city. I really couldn'tttell you why.
It's only starts counting once you talk to the second drimogemon who is digging.
Digimon world 1 is my favorite game I've never played.
"Straight from the egg, none of that processed stuff." Does this imply that Digiconvert from the Story games is Processed Digimon? Much to think about.
Gliched Digimon should be a actual thing in Digimon games.
Skull Greymon becomes Flesh Greymon, and you call him Love Greymon?
I thought it was full of LOVE!
Maybe it was the Undertale kind 🎃.
