I'm going to correct this one. It does have to be a digimon that does not trigger the Frigimon event. Bringing a Meramon here should not work. However, a Digitamamon/Centarumon works, because those ones cannot trigger the event.
Of course, the only time I put something out of my ass because i'm too lazy to check it out again, i'm wrong. But I don't think that Centarumon and Digitamamon (i'm sure that Digitamamon doesn't dislike freezeland... He does dislike ice sanctuary tho). Do you know is it hardcoded to a Digimon species or to the area dislike? Because after digivolving, area preference doesn't change until you'll leave the screen (that's why rookies tend to be "extatic" directly after digivolving if it happened in green gym). I'm pretty sure I recruited Frigimon once with a Digi that normaly is on that list, but I would have to check it out. For now I'll remove that mention then... Then again, my comment about Meramon was definitely wrong then. Congrats yoshi! Perfect, no mistakes!
The soundtrack of this game is fire! I still remember waking up very early every weekend just to sneak in a couple extra hours to play this game, thot i only beat the game by finding mojyamon bug and spam healing items on the final boss using nunemon/monzaemon as my only ultimate.
It's insane how you named your Agumon "Chipi". As a kid everytime I played this game my Digimon's name was Chopi 😂. Instantly took me back to those days
I had a glitch that basically ruined my file, but didn't know it. I had recruited all the digimon, but Jijimon never said the town was prospering for some reason. Also, getting a perfect 10 in curling is 100% the hardest thing to do. Congrats on that legendary final shot.
@@yoshiUMR Yeah, but I put so much time and effort into the file to do everything else (other than curling) and I figured there was just some day requirement or maybe some digimon I missed, but no I went everywhere and did everything.
Spoke about this recently but one of my fondest memories of the game is recently, my wife was fishing for me to get the medal, when she accidentally hooked an item, something I'd not seen about 20 years. Asked her to recreate what happened and we ended up fishing a bunch of coral charms out of the lake and we even got the 99 fish medal. A great day of fishing I'd say. 😅
@@yoshiUMR yeah they' felt higher than that 1% that day, I think we fished about 6 out in a few hours haha however I recently had another go and only got the small recoveries each time hahaha
I've played through this game countless amount of times since I was a kid, picked it back up in my early 20s but I still have 100%'d this game before. I think you might have inspired me to commit in the new year, what a blast it'll be!

@@SaShA6572if companies like tecmo, konami, capcom, can release collections (monster rancher 1&2 DX, yugioh millennium collection, every mega man collection) while making good to great sales (or is still upcoming in the ygo millennium case) people are more than willing to buy 25+ old games(even at $40 if they dont want to or care to wait for a sale). Bandai just has to make the collection and release it.
We had a bug on the german pal PS1 Version of the Game. You cant enter the fort of Ogremon because Agumon doesnt walk away. I see for the first time how it looks there. Yes it is an old Game and I had the chance to watch it before but i forgot this Game, grew up and saw this video on my page.

you should try the Retro Achievement Challenges. With built in achievements for more games than just this one. Think of it as more medals for this game
Thought I might share something useful in regards to my own playthrough, and that it's better to get Reverse Prog from Tekkamon, for as mentioned, the Guardromon that remodels gives you Full Potential. Tekkamon is the only fight you can get Reverse Prog from so it's better to get it from him than from Brain training. Also while Giromon can also teach you DG Dimension, it is better to get it from Megadramon as Giromon is the only in-battle source for Delete Prog. Also if you want an easier time on Filth Techs, the Strongest Numemon Ever actually uses Ult Poop Hell, and that bugger is so weak even a barely training Numemon could beat it with Horizontal Kick! Makes it way easier to clean up on that tech tree, no pun intended, when you can fling the strongest Filth tech on the Geremon and PlatinumSukamon in the game.
Loved the game as a kid but here in germany, you only got the PAL Version which contained a gamebreaking bug that made it impossible to get into Ogre Fortress. Therefore anything which is tied to that couldn't be achieved. A view years ago I downloaded the NTSC Version via ROM and finally managed to get 100% in File City. Edit: just realized you mentioned it in the video 😅
if there was one thing i would like in digimon world to change then it was the item spamming in battle. As a kid i remember dying so often due to me not wanting or not having healing items
You could get Magma Bomb easily as one of your Agumon's first techniques from the Goblimon near the entrance to the lake area where you can fish for Seadramon. It deals great damage in the early game and can also interrupt finishers better than Spit Fire. You can also learn Sonic Jab from those Goblimon, by the way, if you didn't get it from the other Agumon earlier.

Nice vid, you can also learn full potential from guardromon in Factorial Town. The one who can digivole mamenon into metalmamemon. Just trriger fight with 2 guards before him and he will join the fight aswell. Nevermind you mentioned that in a vid xd
Congratulations! How many hours did this take you? Years ago, I had a save file on the ps1 where i got all the medals on a (very) casual playthrough in ~90 hours. You're right. I still remember the feeling of accomplishment, having finally 100% completed the game that i couldn't even beat when i was growing up.

Should have kept all the cards, got to max tamer level, and end the game with a max stat Agumon. Come on you can still do it! (May be not max stat agumon but certainly save one final time with him as a partner)
Eh, to be honest, Tamer level is really "fluid" and it's not really much of an achievement to get it. I think that they split tournament medals into so many of them just for the players to get dopamine boost or so they would know what type of tournament to pursuit.
@@OrdemDoGraveto This is something that I will fight over till the end. Yeah, I think that there is need for so many different cups as there is. Grade Cups are a must, Version cups fit thematicaly, type cups are a no brainer... "special" cups are the ones I would rework if I could as there's much overlap between some of them. But yeah, pretty much doing tournaments is the "end game" and they were designed to be the "ultimate" challenge to a degree. They are also a really nice incentive for raising certain Digimon and demand planning from the player. When you're done with the exploration part, pretty much all that's left is the Arena stuff (and getting every Digimon, which co-operates with each other). ...I would probably lower the amount of championships required to 50 (and even then, that's a lot). Oh, and on the selection screen there should be list of eligible Digimon. That's like the biggest screw-up associated with tournaments.
@Hodyna I dont think the game needs that much end game stuff. I'd cut the Version cups for sure. And make the special ones optional without a medal associated to them (dino, animal, wing and humanoid)
Maybe I’m just getting old, but does ANYONE enjoy those? Is that enriching someone’s experience? Genuinely curious at this point. Makes me feel like the content is intended for actual children, not 33 year old children :(
Yoshi did it in about 54 (in-game) hours I think? 55 was max, because I did it in 51,5 and was impressed that Yoshi did it at a very similiar pace. To be honest, the main "stoppers" are Curling (which is random) and having to get through so many Digimon (even with DV chips). Each tournament is also from 3 to 6 minutes and you have to do 100 of them (successfuly). Next Order (and to a degree re:digitize) take MUCH longer to fully complete when you know what you're doing in DW1 ...then again... does the amount of time really matters? ...sorry for backseat commenting, Yoshi, but I've been seeing this question so many times
@RokuroCarisu filth even third so it has a very very low chance of learning horizontal kick and a 0% chance to learn Ult. Poop Hell. And all the other filth techs it can't even learn anyway

Eh, to be honest, Tamer level is really "fluid" and it's not really much of an achievement to get it.
I think that they split tournament medals into so many of them just for the players to get dopamine boost or so they would know what type of tournament to pursuit.

Yeah, I think that there is need for so many different cups as there is. Grade Cups are a must, Version cups fit thematicaly, type cups are a no brainer... "special" cups are the ones I would rework if I could as there's much overlap between some of them.
But yeah, pretty much doing tournaments is the "end game" and they were designed to be the "ultimate" challenge to a degree. They are also a really nice incentive for raising certain Digimon and demand planning from the player.
When you're done with the exploration part, pretty much all that's left is the Arena stuff (and getting every Digimon, which co-operates with each other).
...I would probably lower the amount of championships required to 50 (and even then, that's a lot).
Oh, and on the selection screen there should be list of eligible Digimon. That's like the biggest screw-up associated with tournaments.
@Hodyna I dont think the game needs that much end game stuff. I'd cut the Version cups for sure. And make the special ones optional without a medal associated to them (dino, animal, wing and humanoid)

It took me about 70-75h
Yoshi did it in about 54 (in-game) hours I think? 55 was max, because I did it in 51,5 and was impressed that Yoshi did it at a very similiar pace.
To be honest, the main "stoppers" are Curling (which is random) and having to get through so many Digimon (even with DV chips). Each tournament is also from 3 to 6 minutes and you have to do 100 of them (successfuly).
Next Order (and to a degree re:digitize) take MUCH longer to fully complete when you know what you're doing in DW1
...then again... does the amount of time really matters?

Etemon is Battle-type first, Filth-type second, so it has a lower chance to learn Filth techniques.
@RokuroCarisu filth even third so it has a very very low chance of learning horizontal kick and a 0% chance to learn Ult. Poop Hell. And all the other filth techs it can't even learn anyway
