Im personally going to hold off and continue with my osrs account and probably give brighter shores a go when/if it comes out of early access

Ngl i love osrs but i think the gear progression is garbage. Im 70s in melee but to make enough money to afford the gear for my levels i have to either max my combat stats or get skills up to the point where i can pull of the highest GP/hr money makers.. and at that point imgoing from fighter torso to... skipping bandos for torva for example... wtf??

It is the most tolerete to my time mmo. That it`s why I like GW2.

Games been kinda boring for 4 years since after wwb2 ended.

There is a streaming community, a new player recently joined and streamed his experience and made RUclips videos chronicling his journey - TalesofLumin but I highly recommend this game. Gameplay can be slow but can also be really exciting. Only game ever to give me the shakes from adrenalin in PvP. What really makes this game though is the social experience and the friends you make and the people you join.

Played Gw2 since old Lions arch...I'll be the first to say I don't care about the story at all. Kinda lost interest after Heart of thorns expansion which I think Peaked the game. But I still log into it from time to time...

You can equip the same weapon type in both slots, in fact there are builds based around doing just that combined with "on weapon swap" triggers

great Video man i always keep in mind this game is still in early access at least fro the next 6 months. meaning this just the foundation of what the Gower Brothers have in store for us how quick he is to update and take player feedback is amazing im really not tyring to glazer here but im just calling it as it see it. will it ever beat out runescape? probably not but I bet it can et damn close it might be scary me being almost 34 with kids and husband duties and working 9-5..this is the perfect game for me

This game reminds me of palia, i really hope it doesnt become a pure afk game most premium membership will end and not many will stay if theres no group content updates

You can totally one-man army in some of the bigger subcap ships, being able to even the odds of a gank in like, a battlecruiser is one of EVE's greatest pleasures

one thing that I love about this game is that it doesn't feel like a standard MMO, it plays more like the worlds largest board game, the different rooms act like action tiles, the rng with combat feels like rolling a dice and the profession levels are like winning points, it's a different type of culture that I'm surprised to find myself enjoying

There are always 3 different types of people that play MMOs - World Firsters, Trolls and people who want to play ALL of the game content as it was meant to be played.

I have played off and on over that last 13 years. Every time I come back I start a different journey. You don't have to take it this serious. You can chill and mine ore, you can fly small ship PVP without ever having to care about the history or politics. But, it's there also if you want it.

If you haven't played EvE then you havent played an mmo, you've played ARPG's with other people. I started playin in 2003 and it has everything. The social aspect... You'll live on comms and have best friends you've never met in real life (we do that too, meetups aee a thing) but you get on everyday just to talk to. Otherwise it's figuring out what you enjoy doing and building your empire from there. You can literally play the game without flying a ship (other than to travel to a trade hub) if you are into the stock market etc.

The game is the most broken and buggy mess of thoughtless trash smashed together. They got horizontal progression but the gear grinds are a million times worse than any vertical progression MMO. Their wiki is wildly inaccurate and the playerbase is a cultist like following

I love Eve. I've played it off and on for more than 10 years at this point. I've been a Miner, a Hauler, a pirate, a spy, a bounty hunter, a con man, an Industrialist, an Explorer, a Gas Huffer and a bunch of stuff that would make the list so long I could write for a full day and not be done. Mostly....I've been a A hole to everyone that was an A hole to me first. I've even been an A hole to the people that haven't been an A hole to me yet because I know at some point, they will be. It's an amazing game where literally everyone is both your friend and you enemy at the same time. They'll kill you and if asked, most will tell you how they killed you and how to avoid being killed by them in the future. They'll bring you into their Corp. as a new player and kick you out to make room for a more experienced player when War breaks out. They'll teach you how to set up a in game money factory to pay for your account passively and then switch accounts and pirate your ass to pay for their alt account. Eve is the most massively fun troll game I have ever played. I wouldn't change a thing about it other than the cost in real money to subscribe if you go that route. Nothing beats Eve for making you so happy to be angry at everything about it.

i played 30 hours as a f2p and what made me uninstall was the 10HR Raptor mount, i enjoyed every hour I played, but I can't justify spending 25 dollars(which is equivalent to about a week worths of food in mycountry) for a game I would only play for about an hour or three every weekend..... and after spending 10 hours with the raptor around the world, walking through it after felt such a slog. I love the game, hopefully they add a f2p mount in the future

The game is relaxed until it isn't. Undocking a Dread for the first time and getting tackled instantly gets the blood pumping.

I can not speak for others. But for myself it is the fact I can do anything in the game. PVP, PVE, Trading, Mining, and a plethora of other careers. You can scam other players. I started this past march or April of 2024. Those ships were built by the corporation. But to get into some of those ships can take weeks or months to skill up to it. Today Goonswarm, Test, Pandemic, all still exist. I hope you do play, enjoy the game, and stay. o7

The entire game feels like a tutorial

started playing in 2008. have played on and off ever since. i've been considering starting again, and i think this video has actually tipped the scales. i'll be downloading it tonight. that said, this game is like no other game ever. my only complaint, is the scale of the universe. at one time, 7k systems seemed huge. but after elite dangerous' galaxy appeared, eve felt small. that said, i'm very interested in once again taking part in the chaos of eve, to at least to some degree. If you do start playing, understand going into it that the learning curve is... overwhelming.

dont get me wrong buddy but you will fish that FISH FOR EVER there are no new zones with new fishs no, the pufferfish ans an exampel will just be the same pufferfish just with a diffrent colour ..im lvl 166 and it just gets more boring and more boring i really wanted to try and like it but..its just horrible

I think the biggest issue people have is its so different that traditional modern mmos. Theres heaps of potential. Let them cook Edit: would love to see you play a little more to correct some of the misinformation in this. ie. The skills and reset and more than chapter one is released

Love gw2 but players have to do marketing because anet doesnt. Just look at gw2's history of collaborative marketing Geforce, prime gaming and twitch most frequent Quiznos A coffee company few have heard about A beer company even less heard about Alienware. I dont think they have a marketting department, they just have a suggestion box of "what do we want and can we get some for free disguised as a promotion?"

I miss the sense of discovery and slow pace of the older days, I feel it made the game more social as you PQ together to level up faster, and you really felt like you became stronger when you finally was strong enough to explore new areas or face bosses with your friends.

Who would play this over OSRS though, let's be real.
