Spiral Zone was such a cool line. Wild concept backed by a cartoon series, quality figures, great vehicles and accessories, and audio cassettes with Spiral Zone adventures included. It's so weird what takes off, and what doesn't. Spiral Zone definitely had all the makings of a successful toy line.

I had a dozen of roboforce when I was a kid. Some of them squirted water.

When I was a kid, one year for Christmas I got these cool action figures from a line called The Other World. I thought they were neat because they were bendable and would stay in that pose. They also looked pretty neat. I had the big bad guy called Froggocuda and some of the good guys. Their weapons and shields would glow in the dark and they came with some mini figures too. The problem being, they had a wire frame and they weren't very durable. The wires would snap after a while and they would no longer pose like you wanted.

If you're going to review old toys, do some research on how they actually worked and their history.

Ever hear of Rocket Rollers by Tyco? They were colorful Motu style figures with pullback clunky roller skates. They were supposed to be roller derby type fighters.

Oddly enough I just sort of started picking up pieces that are missing from my old Roboforce toys..... But only when they are super cheap. Once the market looks towards them and the price goes up, I'm out.

Holy crap! I would have never thought about Spiral Zone had it not come up here. But I totally forgot I had several, one or two of the red and black camo dudes I had for sure. Definitely had Manglord and that Volcano deal too.

The only figures I don't remember was the MForce. Almost everything else my brother and I had at least one of or our neighbors did.

The Endor Han looks like he can smugly shrug his shoulders like he did when He tricked the Imperials in the bunker to come out. So now you're getting figures in a specific one second pose, just like the Chewbacca that puts his hands behind his head after beating R2 at chess.

I had a Mangalore. My dad got pissed off that it didn't work and took it back to the toy store. I love Defenders of the Earth. Still watch it on DVD and bought the modern figures by NECA. You should check them out. Robo Force is also being redone by Nacelle but they're a pretty big change from the original. The nostalgia just isn't there.

Have the RoboForce toys still. Not all just a number of the Figures (such as they are) and the mountain fortress. Pretty cool little guys, but I remember being the only kid on the block that had them and or played with them. One toy line that I wish had gone on forever was Sectaurs. I have all but the Hyve. It was one of the few lines that my friends actually also bought into.

Power Lords were cool, but didn't last long.
