I think the reason why the "intelligence" sphere was babbling random ingredients is because it is actually Wheatley. Instead of listing what would otherwise be good ingredients for a cake, he lists the most terrible things to put into your cake recipe. Hence, bad ideas.

Portal 2 had no Xen connections, but in portal 1 there was a plan for an ending that is leaving player in xen. I think its reason is that on beta portal it was settled down in HalfLife world. I don't remember if the map files still exists in portal 1 but I'm pretty sure there was planned to use Xen world somehow in Portal 1.

10:36 to @Frankysupreme comment. It is like that, because its version of portal before releasing Portal 2 teaser's ARG, which were added on steam version around 2009/10 as far as I remember. There were 3 ARGs in Portal 1 which two were with the flash website, and one with cameras decoding (what was added later ofc to tease P2). I think the camera decoding was ARG in ARG that was leading us to new website login and password preparing players for first Portal 2 Trailers.

Truly epic video, i don't have a super duper long comment this time honestly, most of the things i know are really useless or were talked in this level of the iceberg, this iceberg might indeed have info the most hardcore portal fans might not know, which is real epic, i'm really loving this portal iceberg series of yours, :3 btw, i suppose you might wont do the comments section at the end of the video but i left another real long comment in the previous video about extra trivia and things you missed in some of the iceberg levels, such as the reason why the Wibi!Data mod was mentioned out of so many mods. AAAH MY FIRST APPEARANCE IN A VIDEO, THANK YOUU, BTW AMAZING VID (also i like how no one ever attempts to say my name, i'm the opposite of Heisenberg) Anyway, here's some extra portal trivia: There are two portal glitches i've never seen anyone talk about before, i discovered them while playing on the Xbox360 port, i tested them in the in the latest version of Portal on my pc and they still work, these two glitches can be found in the test chamber 18 and at GLaDOS' place, the first one consists on the camera that's right in front of the player, for some reason it can launch you if you stand in a specific place, the second glitch is that for some reason the big round lamp at the entrance of the GLaDOS chamber is portable, and placing a portal in there will let you see the void (warning: it can be really bright and colorful) these glitches are recorded and uploaded to my RUclips channel, this is not any way of promoting my channel, so therefore i won't share the link, only if you want to see the glitches then i invite you to watch my video, if you don't want to watch the video, then this is all you need to know actually. All the bullets from the Half-Life 2 guns can harm GLaDOS as the rockets would, also turret bullets which is a speedrun strat. The giant chicken that can be seen in the background of Desk Job is actually a reference to an scrapped boss battle from f-stop, the same chicken can be seen in the concept art for f-stop. The model that we see throughout the scenes we see Wheatley on different monitors (in portal 2 ofc) is only a small part of the original model, it's super easy to notice as he constantly goes away and moves, This is probably going to be later in the iceberg but the Garfield bit from the second game was miss interpreted, the writers have said that they don't hate nor dislike Garfield, they were just thinking about something that everyone knows to mock. The bit in where Wheatley gives us the chance to jump into a crusher (aka: the "k¡ll yourself, now" * lightning * bit) was conceived after calling the voice actor late at night to ask him about what would funnier for that scene, because the writers hadn't decided what joke to place there. There's an official Gecko comercial in where the mascot, Geico, is in a Portal test chamber talking to GLaDOS, i am serious. (probably missplaced the mascot's name and the company's name, sorry!) The Portal demake for the nintendo 64 (Portal64) had to be shut down by it's creator and valve, being one of the few times valve couldn't support a fangame, i think it's related to the cease and desist demands made by nintendo towards the gmod workshop (i might be wrong about the last thing) but regardless, it's nintendo's ip what the mod needed to be played so we will never get to play that fangame, trully a sad moment for gaming and another classic l for nintendo fan games. The wibi!data mod (for some unexplainable reason) is actually a mod made for a defunct company that had the same name, and even weirder it's that at the end of the mod you could apply for a job in that same company, the mod is considered to be real confusing, bad, and really weird, not because of the in-game story, but because of the story behind it. The map in where we get the portal gun in the second game is supposed to be the same place in where GLaDOS tries to burn us, but still, there's no hole in the wall, i am referring to the hole in where we launch ourselves to avoid the flames in the first game, these mistakes made the game literally unplayable 0/10.
