180705 Nissan Kizai Excavator Little Giant S B X 1 part 1

180705 Nissan Kizai Excavator often called the "Little Giant." I think this one is an S_B X-1 with a Japanese data plate. It also has TAKAISHI on the boom arm. This is a very cool little excavator as it digs and has a bed that lifts and dumps in any position (up, down or in between). My neighbor Steve at the controls. part 1

M35A2 and other Military Vehicle Air Governor Adjustment
Просмотров 3,6 тыс.7 лет назад
M35A2 (and other Military Vehicle) Air Governor Adjustment Hello and best wishes! My 1968 truck has the old style air governor. If you have an old truck there is a chance you have this one also. Note there are likely many different air governors that were used, but I think most 1950 and newer military trucks have the old or new style mentioned here. My truck would maintain pressure at about 80 ...

Here’s a quick summary: 1) Remove the wheel(s) 2) Remove the drum inspection slot cover 3) Turn the drum so the inspection slot is to 8 o'clock, adjust the bottom right anchor pin CW\CCW till you see .010 inch clearance 4) Turn the drum so the inspection slot is to 11 o'clock, adjust the top right anchor pin...

Yoo, I did this to mine 2 days ago and holy cow it pulls now. Feels so much more powerful. I wish I knew about this years ago.
Sounds phenomenal imo
Is the power noticeably different from the LDT?
That fire hydrant was making me nervous.
Awful camera angles. Can't see what you're pointing to half the time.
Sounds healthy.
Runs good. Trying to get one running right now, it doesn’t want to start, starting to think the hydraulic head is bad.
Good luck! Let me know if you have a question
@@brianp454 hey I do have some questions This truck hardly has any low side fuel pressure from the lift pump. Would this cause it to not start? Also, when I crack the injector lines, I only get pressurized fuel from 2 of them. Is it possible the hydraulic head is bad? I know this truck ran 3 years ago, so I’m not sure if the hydraulic head could’ve failed from sitting. Is it also worth checking injectors?
@@tikiman48 I'd make sure air is purged 1st
Hello there I work for a Town Highway Department, we have a 1990 M931A2 it won't hold air the brakes come up to 120 but idling or taking your foot off the Gas the Pressure drops, we can't hear any leaks and the Air Dryer has been changed could it be the Air Governor thanks
This was shot in NOPO in front of Columbia Park.
Should cut top pipe and put flapper on, keep moisture and rain from getting in pipe and flowing down to the bottom of the U of pipe and rusting hole in it, I've replaced couple of them, but put flappers on and no problems anymore. Good looking truck, I love my M109a2, but I love my M925 5 ton more.
Nice test rig
nice m35a2. it's to my truck.

on the replacement - could you have just switched out the center chunk? Not sure if it comes out that way Im just asking .
Yes that is possible, but the same amount of work. I got a whole axle and it had new brakes on it, so I rolled with using the best parts from the two axles
thanks Bro
Have you ever tested to see how fast it will get?
If you put on spin on oil filters your oil pressure will come up much quicker. Thanks for posting
Yes, I have YATonka pin on filters on the LDT engine I took out. I'll swap them over after I do a break in on this new engine. It has all new filters, so might as well use them for a bit.
Pls paste the mto
?
What the difference in LDT v LDS? Nice mods on steering
there's a thread on Steel Soldiers on the subject. Short version: More power with lower EGT's, different pistons, rocker arms, etc.
Can you go into more detail on the steering wheel? I’d like to do the same on mine.
@@brianp454 thanks will look up the thread, btw on power assist steering … did you consider a vac assist?
@@pendulum4734 60409022-BLK
@@otisarmyalso I considered the air setup, but it's just not as good a setup.
Does bypassing the FDC negate the multi fuel capabilities?
yes
Do you know where I can buy par for that mini giant?
Parts
Lot of work brother, but I like the Stock pipe. sounds. Just my choice.
What paint and color is your deuce
You needed to have the mic closer to your mouth, can’t hardly understand half of your audio. It got better later when the truck wasn’t at higher RPMS AND ROLLING DOWN THE ROAD.
Hello, do you have an excavator manual
No
Love that sound!
Does this have anything to do with power steering? My M35A3 barely has power steering but everything else works fine. I can’t find the regulator on the firewall to adjust it.
Brother do you have a part# for those?
3:35 my ears die!!!!!
U still got the truck
Actually I’m really glad you put this video out . It was a little more difficult to hear you in the end but I can make most of what your saying out. If you could have gotten a little more in depth on how the system worked would be nice. Like I said though I’m very appreciative for this info because I have my air pressure gauge constantly pegging out. Seeing some condensation in it at part of the time. I’ll try doing what you mentioned but I guess you just keep checking the gauge until it’s right?
Love the deuce and a half buddy. Great job on the video
you dont have to have the axle drive shafts removed to adjust the brakes, just lift the whole axle up so both tires are in the air and they should spin freely. you dont need to jack up both axle at the same time either. just some advice. also adjust your bottom brake adjuster first then the top .
Not the case on the Deuce, there is no interlock switch, the front and rear axles are locked together permanently .
@@ValleyRock13 you're correct but also wrong, you dont have to disconnect any of the drive shafts or lift both axles in the air, the axles have open differentials so as long as you got one axle up the tires will spin free. Not all trucks have open centers but most do. And dont say its "impossible" I have a duece and I just did a brake job on it. Was just letting others know for future reference. Your are correct that they don't have an interlock .
I just took my aero off currently it has about a foot of flex pipe as an exhaust
Nice, these things are annoying with straight exhaust
Help! I have a 1968 M35A2 just like yours, and I'm seem to be missing a air line that goes from the air switch the is on the dashboard that once you flip it, it will engage the front differential and make the truck a 6x6. Is there any way that you can tell me where does that line goes to in the governor, an if possible take some pictures of it under the dash and where it goes to? I will give you my email address, once a reply is received. Thank you!
If Brian doesn’t respond try steel soldiers or one of the military vehicle sales company’s like Boyce Equipment out of Ogden, Utah or Memphis equipment, Big Mikes Motorpoool, C&C equipment in Ind., or eastern equipment out of Pa. One of them will easily help you over the phone even. Well it’s easier to reach Big Mikesmotorpool by email from his web site.
You must be a City Boy... B/c Where I come you When you get ready to take off you Let'er RIP!!
Anyone knows what are the pros and cons of bypassing the fuel compensation of that pump?
How much of a difference was it with the fdc bypass
Huge. It also eliminates one possibility of getting the oil diluted with fuel or vice versa
How much of a difference was it driving
Disconnect your WGA (Waste Gate Actuator), you'll get plenty of boost then!
Although I don't own a Deuce yet, great video, doesn't look to difficult to adjust the brakes. Thanks for sharing!
Where do you park your deuce and a half? Does the city allow you to park in front of your house? I was going to purchase a deuce and a half but I live in an apartment complex I don't think it will work!
Great video. The procedure for the M809's is probably similar, just bigger parts. The diff failure made me cringe. I hope I can avoid that.
Well that answers that. Thanks!
Is it normal there, that the people drive like fulfilled with Valium? Terrible. They don't find the throttle pedal when the traffic lights go to green. And turning is catastrophic. You have to fear, that they fell asleep...
Good video!
I could have pulled that out with my bare hands ! cool truck though
The 6 year old did an excellent job bud. I like the video
That's my boy!
That deuce looks great with super single tires. I love the deuce and a half
