This was their 1st "mainstream" album, everythung before is heavy, funky and either chaotic or tranquil, sometime both. I prefer SCIENCE but only by a little. And Morning View a little less. Overall, they havent made an album i dislike. In 99 i thought they were to poppy for my taste, but that was just the industry handpicking what was gonna make money. Today, because of the variety of sounds of their albums and the message behind most of their songs, they're an easy top 15 band all time for me.

If you watch the documentary of the recording process of this album you will understand better everything. It's is magical if you love blink and this album. My question really is how you decide what you like or not? I watched a video where you say you like screams, you like heavy guitar riffs, speed and death metal. This is not death metal obviously but, it has screams, heavy guitar riffs, speed everything, so. How do you decide if you like a band or not? Me, personally, can't stand heavy metal, grindcore, black metal but I have my reasons. Heavy metal is too old for me, I can't stand the old mixing sound on bands. I hate grindcore because the screaming is too much and too aggresive, black metal because I don't like the lyrics. So, wondering why you don't like a band that has everything you always say you love in a band. Is just a question, not any kind of attack. Everyone can like whatever they like. I recommend As I Lay Dying (Shaped by Fire) and August Burns Red (Constellations)

You know what, I dont think that ***anyone*** is going to back me up on this but I really wish you listen to limp bizkits album 'results may vary'. Its the album that was credited at the time for killing nu metall (how tragic), therefore it has receved many many huge criticism and I would say that most of the fans hate it, but in actuallity, in my opinion, it is the most sensitive, thoughtfull and out of their lane that the band has ever been. It is a more pop/hip-hop orientated album and it kind of is my favorite project by them.

I’m a huge old era blink-182 fan and All the Small Things drives me crazy as well 😅 but you should listen to The Mark Tom and Travis Show, it’s a live album with better versions of all of these songs and many of their older good songs. Plus it’s damn funny too if you have the sense of humor of a 12 year old 😂

Not to be a dick, but people like you annoyed me back in the day. MCR were always dismissed as trash by more conventional metal heads, I do get it though, they were kinda ground breaking but in a very commercial way which pissed people off, similiar to how Linkin Park were first received. However it is nice to see that they're finally getting the respect that they deserve from the Rock community.

Spiritbox are an incredible band, that blew up during covid and they certainly live up to their hype!!!

Kudos for actually giving them a fair shake. I understand how hard it can be to get past those ingrained biases from the past. Trust me, the more you listen to them and the less you think about your cringe perception of them, the easier they are to get into. And don't think I didn't see you jamming out to In The End, even if it was ironically! To be honest though, even though I love this album, I tend to skip Crawling. it's such an uninspired song, and the lyrics are pushing emo territory which isn't my thing.

good album i still listen to it every once in a while. his new stuff though is so different. his new album dropped 2 days ago called Popular Monster. should give that a listen it's a totally different sound(heck pretty much every song is a different genre)
