Просмотров 166 тыс.Год назад
Today I was finally able to shoot an update video for my V2203 Kubota swap. I love it so far, and has been nothing but reliable. P.s all the squeaks and rattles you hear are my clutch pedal and my exhaust, the engine doesn't rattle at all.

My 4210 john deere no forward or reverse Solved!!
Tanks a lot in the UK Has a jeep like yours only his has tracks it’s really good he is restoring it also. He has a RUclips channel called TANKS A LOT.🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
I have questions about a kubota swap I wanna do to my yj is there a way we can talk so I can pick your brain
Join the kubota swap group on Facebook! And add me on there!
also, 71 cis had a master cylinder access by the accelerator pedal. This one does not. Not a 71...
71 jeep cjs had a fuel tank under the drivers seat. This one has a fuel spout in the back passenger side. this is probably a 73 or later.
When you get women figured out, can you upload a video? I've been married almost 20 years, and I'm just as confused as the day I met her.
This is the best, I'm with you man clueless!
I'm swapping my 47 now. Did you regear the axles?
Stock 5:38s just add an overdrive if you need to.
@@BuyFixFlip nice. Thanks for the reply
That thing is awesome .
Adjust your timing at idle and it should smooth out. Cool build, we have lots of diesel powered jeeps underground at the mine
great idea,ww2 had made a few duel axle supper jeeps. A guy in northern Ill.has the only one which was a ambulance. The referrence book pictures his super jeep one only.
Would a 1.9 TDI fit?
If you ever have trouble with the mod 18 T case get yourself a model 20 T case. It has the big hole in the back because the 20 is a stronger case and the levers will fit the same.
Look out for deer. You really need a windshield at minimum. A roll bar. Yes
very cool!
What a treasure.
I love it! It looks fantastic, you definitely captured the spirit of the old Willie’s style.
I'm still trying to figure out the transfer case. 2x4x6 and the third lever does something for the front and rear simultaneously, plus separate driveshafts for each rear axle rather than tied together like a semi. Ingenious! All from one transfer case?
One shifter engages the front axle, one shifter controls high and low for the front axle and middle axle. The other shifter controls high and low for the rear-most axle.
Great job bro!!!
Mantap 👍👍👍👍👍🇮🇩🇮🇩🙏
There was one back in the 1980s in one of the magazines Dirt Everyday, Truck'n, or Jeep called the armadillo!
…this is HUGELY exciting would REALLY like to see it perform some day where are you stationed in the US of A ? (This enquiry is from ZA’s Fairest Cape Winelands) Excellent job and project well done‼️ It should work well But listening to your story, it is fact that you put in lots of figuring and thought, physical energy and engineering creativity I am extraordinarly impressed My first Jeep was a CJ-2A obtained in 1965-66 ex Zululand in ZA and since then i remained fascinated and absolutely sold on this wonderful invention since (ex) WW II Most certainly as intriguing as you can get…👊💯 My compliments : you are doing a really great job and will follow your spoor (tracks!) with keen interest in time to come • Again: WELL DONE and thank you kindly for sharing Its a real thrill beste 👊🔥 🪖
Thank you so much for the kind words, I'm in Ohio in the US. I've wanted to build one for a long time and finally pulled the trigger on it. I will definitely be testing it out here soon!

Super Sick 6x6
Thanks man!
Pretty cool 👍🏻
Thanks man!
Awesome build! Which forum did you source the engine from? Is it IDI?
Greg at overland diesel has a kubota swap group on Facebook.
I would love to see what modifications were needed for the transfer case.
I'll try to make a video on it!
I would build a cab and cage for it so it would be okayish in a impact
I miss my 1992 jeep xj even through the chrysler electronics made it very unreliable maybe one day ill build it again
You've really outdone yourself on this one! Bravo!
Thank you very much!
Awesome 😎
Thank you!
Would it be possible to put a 12 valve Cummins into a Willys
That would be alot of weight (800 plus lbs) in such a small area and lightweight vehicle.
@@BuyFixFlip so you’re saying it’s possible
@@BuyFixFlip 1000lbs for a 12V Cummins.....ooooof! Big girl
4-BT, or a R2.8 Cummins maybe... R28 is only 503pnds, 4-BT IS 794pnds
@@gregmargison1129 it would have an insane power to weight ratio though
First and nice job
Hey Tanner this is Scott.. we met last night at truck stop & you borrowed my jack... great meeting you man! Glad to help a brudder diesel bro!... I hope you made it home safe... I did @ 8 AM lol drove all night.. hey what was the name of that noise canceling muff for my isuzu pup diesel 4x4? I dont utube much and could not msg u
Hey brother, thank you so much again for the jack. The exhaust was called a vibrant 1138 exhaust from summit racing it's just a muffler that pulls out a ton of drone and noise.
@@BuyFixFlip See??? you helped me right back man thanks! I have a 2000 S10 at home I may convert, too!
Hey man so I want to do the same thing but little different truck do you no if the v1903 is the same block as the v2203 I can't seem to find anything
Yes contact greg at overland diesel he is the 03 series engine expert!
How’s the drive ability on the road and the mpg
It's great on the road. The only thing I would change is to throw an overdrive on it. My new kubota build has 3.73 gears. Mpg is about 30, depends on the driving but always high 20s low 30s.
Well that was helpful!
Read the description..
Plan on doing a similar build, what all are you running in your drive train
I went over it in another video, all stock drive train!
Never put an axis power anything into a US military vehicle!
HF is having a tent sale for $249. Going to grab it I think over the Daytona
That's insane, I think I paid over 400. I still love this thing!
@@BuyFixFlip awesome. I’ll grab it. Can work on snowblowers with it too lol
Its like a legit Mahendra roxer

You should put in a thermostat to get your temps up to ~190. This will boil off the water in your oil and greatly prolong the life of your engine
What is best years for these motors to buy?
Appreciate you giving feedback on the worst-case-sand scenario! Thinking I gotta get one the only space I can work on my truck is a sandy area in FL haha
I lived in Florida for 7 years and that's what made me think, my Jack's would always sink.
I just acquired a Kubota D905-BG-E. Is this good for any car or truck?
