Tinkering with Tractors JCB Fastrac 3155 brake disc and wheel bearing change
Something a bit different this week as we’ve been busy doing some work on a fairly neglected tractor. We thought you might be interested in seeing the difference between this axle and the one that we use in Deborah 2, so join us as we replace some wheel bearings and brake discs.
We do realize this is not the usual day we upload however, we have been plunged back into the dark ages when it comes to our internet connection this week.

We know the paints getting bad on our MK8 02 EB 05, the paint takes a bit of a hammering as it’s one of the vehicles visitors to the Norfolk tank museum can climb inside.

Rolls Royce V12 27 Litre Tank Engine Valve timing
Просмотров 10 тыс.Месяц назад
So it’s finally time to workout why the Centurion ARVE engine didn’t run so well. A rolls Royce 27l v12 meteor will happily drink a gallon of fuel every 55 seconds! When working hard. In the tank that’s up to 15 gallons to the mile of road! 2 Gpm on road. Interested in stress testing your latest office chair design? Send it to the Norfolk Tank Museum workshop, where they will put it through its paces, pitting the strong arm of the mechanics vs over-torqued wheel bolts. While said mechanic is comfortably seated in the office chair... 🫣

Since you don't tighten those back bolts on the engine oil panel you can super glue the washers to the heads of the bolts and they will stay out of the way of putting the panel back on and you keep the original bolts instead of getting flanged head bolts.

Keep doing what you are doing, Aaron! You and the lads are doing a cracking job. It is a big setback that the engine has suffered such damage during its life, but you don’t appear fazed by it. It’s that “can do, will do” attitude that makes watching your videos so enjoyable and immersive. Best wishes to you and the team from a tank and anything army crank in Wirral!

Gearbox cover - what if the bolts against bulkhead were spring loaded underneath so that line of bolts would hold it under some pressure while it was secured on the other three edges? Lazy starter on 433 was often started in field by smack with sight pole.

No idea what you were doing but I would love to get in there with a bunch of spanners and take things to bits clean them and put them back, It always upset me " don't ask me why " with my old Chieftain that the engine and gearbox compartment were swimming in oil and water and god knows what, I managed to keep it running for 3 years mainly due to the help of a 2lb lump hammer, but I did so want to get it nice and clean, then they moved me onto 432s and Scorpions and I felt the same but they were much more easy to keep clean.

I`ve always thought that the 432 conversions were the more convincing of conversions for german ww2 mock ups, ( even the road wheels look quite similar to Pz 111/stug 111 road wheels with those holes, but i also think it would look even more convincing without the track rubber pads.
