AAron, got to join the majority and say full rebuild, please. Never seen one of these engines stripped down and rebuilt, so would be an education. The day you stop learning is the day you die! I've never dry sumped an engine before so intrigued as to what is involved, ditto all the different accessories, why/where how etc. Thanks from Rural W Berks.
Great content guys we learn a lot about process and technique..will prove so good to future tinkeres keep up the great work ...better than any BBC documentary
Whole process. I just got done rebuilding my Ferrets B60 last year. Would have been a big help to have a full video on it. A simple engine, but that's the beauty of it! Don't forget your wood chisel for the rear main bearing seals!
I have not seen another channel showing the detail that you do and it is very definitely worthwhile and educational/interesting. So PLEASE do the full process Aaron. Thank you.
Carry on as you are. As a retired mechanical engineer, I find your videos very interesting. I live only about 50 miles from your museum, and will definitely try to visit next year.
Great video, start to finish would be good as I have always wondered how you get something that been completely stripped back with everything in time with each other, I know it involves timing marks but seeing it makes it understandable 👍🏻
Thanks. So the B series engine has overhead (modern convention) inlet valves but the exhaust valves are side valves but the head isn't a flat head (Ricardo high turbulence design?). I'd call that unusual and not something I've seen before.
Used to strip/rebuild B series. Head studs pull out threads from block when on final tightening. For some reason it is usually the last ones to tighten. Had to remove had and Helicaoil more than I can remember. Oil control rings can refuse to go in to bore. All down to how they feel on the day. We used to get some with majority of rods out of the side of block. Crankshaft plugs, you know they need to be taken out due to gunge build up in the crankshaft?
B61 were used in the 40Kva Ground power unit. I used to work on them. Fitted with a Scintilla Magneto that had an over rev protection built into the rotor arm worked by centrifugal force. And wet sump.
That english wheel at 0:44, damn, wish it was mine and not a garden ornament! Love your channel though! (And excuse the nick, my daughter pinched my YT😂)
A skint drunk tumbles out of the pub and staggers into the yard of a tank museum - whereupon he sees a bloke lying under a Rolls-Royce engine. "W-w-washamatta with it?" he asks. "Piston broke" says the mechanic, to which the skint drunk replies "S-s-sho am I"
hallo m8 i like waching youre videos but you should let youre workers talk in the back ground and not shoosh them it belongs to the vidieos sorry for the kommentare
We’re glad you’re learning something. It’s amazing to see for us as we sometimes take for granted what we know/do. Also, I think it’s fair to say we’re finally getting used to having a camera pointed at us. 😂
Let's see the whole process ,please, Aaron !
Whole process, please 🙏
Whole process please fellas! You never know, one day someone might say to me, ‘can you help me rebuild the engine on my ferret?’….
😉
Good content Aaron and Josh, but don’t forget Lewis!
Would like to see whole rebuild but appreciate anything you upload fellas 👍🏻👍🏻
I like seeing any video you put up, obviously too much detail will hold your job up so anything you have time to put up is great. 😎
Whatever you put up is great. I'll more than happily watch a complete rebuild if there's enough call for it.

Id prefer to see the whole rebuild but even just highlights would be great. Thanks for posting the videos!
Are all the gaskets bearings still available
Luckily, most of the gaskets are available as new old stock.
They just carry the I have something you need price tag!
Love seeing old bits of kit being given another go!. 🙂
I vote for the whole process. If your going to tinker we want to see your tinkering your heart out. 😂😂
It would be good to see the whole process particularly the fix for the RMB journal and how you determine what has to be done.
Carry on as you are. As a retired mechanical engineer, I find your videos very interesting. I live only about 50 miles from your museum, and will definitely try to visit next year.
We look forward to seeing you at some point!

Y'all make it look easy. Thankfully things didn't seem to be too bad. Chock up another vote for the whole process, please.

Be great to see the ANTAR again .....
I want to visit your museum but live in the Northwest. I will visit one day and bye the way your content is brilliant
It’ll be a pleasure to meet you one day. You’ll probably bump into at least one of us when you do. 😉

Ours agree and we get to actually play with tanks! 😉
😎👍
We have two Morris quads, do you know if there is anyone that would like to pay scrap value for them? There must be bits that are salvageable on them.
Where are you? Can you send some
Pics to tinkeringwithtanks@gmail.com
Start to finish please, not had much to do with the B series.

Step by step re build please gents
Just as an aside - where is the Antar?
It will be returning soon. Unfortunately it’s too big to fit in our summer workshop so it has to wait until next month.

What a shame you videoed in portrait rather than landscape
