- Sorry for the delay in video uploads, we have been incredibly busy. with a massive tidy up in the workshop and getting a couple of vehicles done ready for museum opening on Easter Saturday
today we visit @MrHewes to lend them a hand fitting steering brakes to the FV4005 project. which is be on display running at @thetankmuseum for tankfest 2024. which will also be attending tankfest with our centurion AVRE.

Also can’t wait for an Antar update. We used to hand paint ours at Bulford with “Paint Brushing Deep Bronze Green””. We often said in was British Racing Green!! Flat out at 28 mph!! 😂😂😂

Try spraying with the gun about 200-250mm(8-10") away instead of close up like you are. And turn the pressure down abit.
Hopefully that will reduce the runs in the paint work.
I’ve found a vacuum leak on the spray gun since filming. So was struggling to prime then suddenly all coming at once! New gun ordered,
I’ll try having the gun a bit further away when the new gun arrives :)
The bungs on the drums are to inspect the linings mate.
I didn’t wonder that but wasn’t sure why you would want to?

to close with your spray gun and to slow with the motion left to right up and down ... thin coat first leave it then a second coat onto a sticky background

The massive tidy up and getting vehicles ready for museum opening on Easter Saturday would have made great videos for the channel. Why not just stick a camera on a tripod while you do your stuff? Or even do it live? If you think it would be too slow or boring you could always speed up the footage.

having worked on cars, 4x4's trucks and the odd bulldozer (D9)Transmissions Manual and Automatic including semi auto ! Manual transmissions big or small are much the same bar shape and design , I've been watching Mr Hawer, Joe, Adam and Jack occasionally pull the top off a valve body when a shift vale sticks or solenoid with it trying to apply to many bands or clutch packs at once ! Anyway it would be nice to see the oil gallery's ect to see how it all fits together , thanks for replying 🤟🤟🦘🦘
@@andrewnorgrove6487 I have another Cheiftain gearbox which is semi auto to strip and fully rebuild November time this year! I’ll do a full rebuild series on it :)
