I have a Love for the .222 Rem. It all started in 1980 I bought my first one a New Savage 24v 222/20 and stated Reloading for both with a lee loader and a Loadall the hardware store where I bought the reloaders , sat down with and showed how to reload with both . I still use IMR 4198 powder and a Sierra 50 grain varmiter bullet in mutiple 222 Remingtons I bought a new Savage 340d clip feed bolt 222 Rem. Used Rem. 600, Rem 7 bolts actions , T/C contender barrel 10" and 24" MGM custom barrel and a Ithaca Tikka Turkey gun in 12ga./ 222 Rem. over/under. Did you ever try IMR 4198 powder ? I see use H4198 , IMR powders are more available. I do use H4895 in quite a few rifles , I reload for .but never bought any H4198 ! Keep the Great Videos Coming ! I watched all 3 of your videos on the Rem. 788 .223 Rem. ! Stay Safe Healthy ! God Bless !

I had a little bolt action Mossberg as my first rifle. I paid about 50 cents for Long cartridges, I liked them better than long Rifle, because they were faster. I took many squirrels and rabbits with that little rifle. Good video, keep them coming.

Hello!!!! I enjoy your channel thoroughly. I don't own a Remington 33, but I do have its big brother--the Remington 34. Have you done a review of the Remington 34? If so, I'd surely like to see the video review. Like your 33, my 34 (which happens to be scoped) must have radar in it. I sometimes miss, but the rifle doesn't. God Bless and have a great day!!!!

Only guessing from the front sight on yours, after looking at mine, doing a take down and cleaning. I noticed no serial numbers nor a date code. Nothing to date it by. I got it free from a uncle that it was free to him. Was missing the trigger group and was pretty beat up. Layed n bottom of a boat for years. I now have $100 In it for parts, have a spare barrel, bolt and extra push tube for the magazine tube. The blueing on extra barrel isn't the highly polished and sight is different and mad tube mount is at end of barrel. Think it's the m1 version. I had a mod 60 in early 90's and that was a tack driver right out of the box.

Depression era single shot .22’s are extremely accurate, rugged & practical being able to use S.L.LR. I love the history of these rifles knowing that the great majority of these rifles were in the hands of folks who used them daily to put food on the tables of struggling Americans.

Great video. I have my dad’s Remington model I think 34 but it may be a 35. It’s tube fed bolt action. I’ve done some research on it and have found Remington only built it for three years. The reason being it has an excellent mechanism that inserts the cartridge perfectly straight into the chamber. I have found it was expensive and complicated to make so they discontinued it after three years for a less expensive and simpler mechanism to keep the cost of the rifle down. It is an extremely accurate rifle. My oldest son says he can hit anything at any reasonable range with it. I sure do like it .

I’ve not been fortunate to to find a Model 33, but years ago I got a Model 41 Targetmaster. Much like the 33, the 41 is a single shot bolt action.22. The barrel and action are one piece instead of two. I’ve taken many squirrels and other small game with this vintage Remington rifle.

Cumberland Outdoorsman, that little rifle remindes me of my Winchester 69, only made in 1935-1936. Long barrel, ,peep sites, shooting long rifle , longs, shorts , out of box magazines. Manual bolt safety and cock on closing the bolt. Super accurate, quieter than a springer pellet rifle when shooting shorts. Great old 22 rimfire rifles. No frills nothing but good quality meat getters. Squirrel pot pie comming right up !👍👍🇺🇸🙏🏽✌🏻😎

I don’t own a Remington 33, but I do have a 34. I got the 34 from an elderly gentleman who was the original owner. I was intrigued by the feeding mechanism on the 34, great old rifle. I do have a Winchester 67, which was very similar to the Remington 33. As you already know, I love these old .22’s. The single shot rifles offer a good basic introduction to rifle shooting. My first .22 single shot was a Springfield Model 15. I bought it from a family friend who picked it up at an auction and graciously let me have it for what he had paid for it, $12. That was back in the early 1970’s and I still have it. The first time I shot it, I was sitting on top of a pond dam shooting snapping turtles. That little rifle is still one of the most accurate shooting .22’s I’ve ever shot. Thanks for this video, I love all things .22 rimfire.
